I met uncle Ted working at a gas station in ‘80 or ‘81 just north of Lansing, Michigan. He pulled up in a lifted camouflaged Bronco. Was the coolest cat I had ever met. Nicest guy you’d ever meet. Gave me a $20 tip on a $36 bill.

In 1975 Nugent began a prolific solo career. The archetype of the monstrous guitarist, the champion of the style located at the crossroads of psychedelic rock and heavy metal, the last albums of Nugent the Amboy Dukes, already presaged the huge epic epic that will follow ours. Saw Ted 5-6 times still one of my faves.he’s my age and I can’t believe he’s still killin it. Plus most of his career … no pedals straight to the amps with a jazz guitar
Rick. I did too!! Same year. I was in the 7th grade it was my birthday. My Mom took me to see him at a little arena called the Santa Monica Civic. And he was standing on those amps. It was great. Loud..that was a great birthday weekend. Because the very next day she took me to see Thin Lizzy in Long Beach.
Saw him, skynyrd, reo, and a couple more at Superbowl of Rock at Soldier Field in 76. He was loud and I think Rockford could here him. What a day that was!

Finally a live clip of Nugent where you can actually hear Rob Grange. His bass seems to get buried in the mix on alot of the live clips. His bass stands out pretty good on the records though. Great Underrated bassist.
saw him at a Texas Jam show in the 70's and he was electric...great show, great music, heavy rock and roll...what's not to like...
1978. Dallas cotton bowl. Texas jam. I was there. He passed out they carried him off stage. He was standing by his speakers playing
Love this RIPPING & TEARING Ted can do on that guitar! his Self Titled Tour I GOT TICKETS HIS CONCERTS BACK THEN I COULD SEE THEM OVER & OVER MAN IF YOU MISSED A TED SHOW BACK THEN YOU MISSED SOMETHING !; LOVE IT !
Saw Uncle Ted five times, three times solo twice with Damn Yankees all five concerts were absolutely fucking incredible
Ted, you rock brother ! I can't wait to see you in concert again !!
Derel St.Holmes the BEST SUPPORTING musician in 70s rock n roll.
Rock & Roll, raw and undiluted.
Saw Ted 5-6 times still one of my faves.he’s my age and I can’t believe he’s still killin it. Plus most of his career … no pedals straight to the amps with a jazz guitar
I simply can't imagine how fun this show must have been 🔥
Ted the Sledge!!! Motor City Madman; he is America!!! God bless AMERICA & Ted Nugent.
patriot with kick ass talent rock on Ted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saw him in 1976 standing on 6 6ft tall fender speakers. Rock and Roll forever 🤘
Same memories for me..
In Sweden.. 76-77...stockholm..
Seattle?
Saw him 1979 in Hamburg !
Rick. I did too!! Same year. I was in the 7th grade it was my birthday. My Mom took me to see him at a little arena called the Santa Monica Civic. And he was standing on those amps. It was great. Loud..that was a great birthday weekend. Because the very next day she took me to see Thin Lizzy in Long Beach.
Yeah. And he jumped off of those amps. Saw him 5 times from 76-79.
Saw him, skynyrd, reo, and a couple more at Superbowl of Rock at Soldier Field in 76. He was loud and I think Rockford could here him. What a day that was!

Ted is the Man!!! like him like his attitude
That tone. 🤩 Nobody has tone like Uncle Ted. Nobody.
Saw Ted in the mid 70's, Greensboro Coliseum, one of the opening groups for Aerosmith, other group being Reo Speedwagon, Sir Ted stole the show, long live Ted Nugent!!!
Doesn't need drugs. He's already high.
@Karson Kalabo Sure????
Ain't no way uncle Ted was not 8 ballin and weed smoking! Ain't no way dude !!! Those stories about keeping clean are bull fuxkin shit ! 😝
Ive seen him rail lines of coke like theres no tomorrow back in the early 80’s. He might be clean now but he was flyin high back in the day
@@JerryRiceBall That's not a comment to be made lightly. He claims he's never touched the stuff.
@@JerryRiceBall I wondered about that going back to "Journey To the Center of Your Mind". As a kid high as a kite on LSD, I was sure the song was about LSD. Surely Ted knew that. His guitar leads are stony as in that 1968 psychedelic hit.
Solid saw them with Aerosmith back in late seventies….great concert
