When I was 17, had a crush on this girl. We had been classmates since middle school and she was gorgeous, like out of my league gorgeous. Never had a clue that she liked me the whole time. Finally, like teenage girls do, she told a friend so it would get back to me. Asked her out, she said yes, picked her up in my stepdad's thunderbird, and did the standard "movie and Pizza Hut". (as was customary back then) On the way home, in my infinite wisdom I played this song. We both missed curfew that night. Thank you Uncle Ted for writing the most romantic song in history.

Great version of this killer love song. Nice guitar duel with the very underrated Derk St Holmes. I saw this band in 77 and blew me away. Still a big Nugent fan and will be seeing him again this summer 45 year and one day later. this guy gives you more energy and entertainment per dollar than any other band I have ever seen and that includes Zeppelin and Floyd
Ted is my second favorite of all time singer and entertainer in life. My all time favorite singer and entertainer in life is David Lee Roth. I love when people interact with the audience. I use to blast Wang Dang Sweet Putang in my room at 6:30 in the morning and I was almost 15 and my sister had to put up with this and my stereo ruled😂😂😂 Too much. I'm a PK pastors kid 😂😂😂 I'm not worried about my salvation😂😂 Ted has nothing to do with my salvation 😂😂 I know my Bible.
Ted's a fundamental believer, too. Always has been. When he gets to Heaven I think The Lord will take him aside and privately say, "Now, Ted, there are certain things we don't do up here. Comprende? Now, get out there and play that guitar for me son!"
so the ted nugent guitar solo i spent days resetting the record needle playing over and over til i got it right was Dereck Saint Holmes. wow. thats cool.

The 70's was a magical time in my life. It shaped my love for real ROCK & ROLL MUSIC . There is nothing like Uncle Ted while cruising the freeway with your windows down.
Mike Hall From what I read he was a jazz drummer & Derek St Holmes told him he needs to use bigger heavier drum sticks to pound those skins louder to be heard over Ted's loud ass amplifiers lol when he first got the job as a drummer for Ted !
Always loved Ted’s guitar playing and the fact that live he plays note for note what’s on the record perfectly. If you are or have ever been a performing musician then you know how hard that is especially with a 5 man band. It takes a LOT of rehearsal. Then add in the Ted-nacity that Nugent has on guitar and you have the recipe for a KILLER live band. I’m sure Ted’s “if you’re wired you’re fired” policy had a lot to do with it as well though. There were no drugs allowed on tour with or anywhere around Ted.
The true Ted Nugent fans always give a huge bow to Derek St Holmes and we always will
Isn’t Derek on the current “Adios MOFO” tour?
@OMGWUNSIU no was disappointed in that also. But Ted's not quitting playing live yet. Just not going out for weeks or months at a time

anyone wants to get mellow can turn around and get the F outta here...ALRIGHT?!
I know no one came here to get mellow...
🤘😁🤘
That, and, "You wanted the best, you got the best. The hottest band in the world..." are the anthems of my childhood.
I saw uncle ted shoot an arrow straight through a guitar! Probably the coolest thing ever!
Brings a tear to your eye...Beautiful love song.
I hope you wore protection, great story, I had the same but it was Purple Rain,
What a Freaking Awesome Classic! 2018 Another Timeless Tune from Nugent!
Yo Mama,
I bet you are some Sweet Poontang....
Now this is Rock n Roll !!
STRAIGHT AMERICAN ROCK-&-ROLL, PERIOD.
999 fine oh teddy 🐻 u bring those owww feelings back. Keep it commin😅😊❤
Derek St. Holmes... what a great guitar player!
Absolutely! Great singer as well!
Alberto Jorge Soares
Not to mention one hell of a vocalist
And a great singer!
@@johnnynails166 wow you noticed. ted noticed Derek took over and man nailed it and ted is such a team player. derek nailed the solo and ted left the applause in his plate where it was deserved. yes
@@brucebird344 Hell yes brother! Great player and singer! A Thousand Knives has always been one of my favs! Cat Scratch Fever album made great by this classic line-up!
Ted rocks. Libs talk
I just showed this video to my father who is 78yo & always listened to 50's doo wop' & tried real hard not to like it but I could tell otherwise!..He couldn't wipe the smile off his face'..Nice lil father & son moment! 😆
Only Michael Schenker's jams get in the same ballpark of awesomeness as this
Terrible teddy and badass st Holmes theses guys slay!
Back in the early 1980s, they used to play this album over the loud speakers in the weight room at my high school. They played it so much, I even had it memorized at one point.
Sounds like your maybe from Downriver MI like me? I graduated in 81 and I liked some of his stuff, but a friend of mine was really really into the Live Gonzo album. About that time he started lifting and got a bit burly which is what he needed to do to fight off some of the bullies, as we know, back than it ain't like now.
Uncle Ted Rock On!
God bless you, man. I read the Bible too, and I’m into Ted and DLR

@@patrickkunkle5958 right on
so the ted nugent guitar solo i spent days resetting the record needle playing over and over til i got it right was Dereck Saint Holmes. wow. thats cool.
what about Derek. That was the best solo ever. Ask Ted. Ya'lls Brains are Hard as Nails. Flesh and blood. No gray matter. Wake up. Theres hope for tomorrow.Wake up. Derek deserves a shout out.
The 70's was a magical time in my life. It shaped my love for real ROCK & ROLL MUSIC . There is nothing like Uncle Ted while cruising the freeway with your windows down.
Ted was on fire here.
Love you brother and beautiful wife you are 100 percent treasures of America
Teds on another planet ....end ❤
Ted Nugent is definitely a great guitarist, he has technique, a lot of rhythm and attitude.
Holy Moly!!!! When I was 10 your poster was above my bed!
Many thoughts!!!!I love you!🌞
I do love this tender ballad
Cliff was an amazing drummer. Super tight. Tragic death.
Mike Hall From what I read he was a jazz drummer & Derek St Holmes told him he needs to use bigger heavier drum sticks to pound those skins louder to be heard over Ted's loud ass amplifiers lol when he first got the job as a drummer for Ted !
NUGE!! On tour summer of 2022, Clearwater FL. I am so there.!!
My first concert was Ted Nugent and Golden Earring in Greensboro, N.C in 1978.....I was hooked after that....
I saw Ted and Aerosmith in Greensboro in the 80s.
I remember going to a few concerts in Greensboro, Kiss, Jethro Tull, Kansas and a few more. 🔊🎵🎶🎵😁✌
Ted's best line-up. Imo
I love seeing Derek getting in a nice and long intro lead on this clip.
So underrated, this was Ted's best line up for sure.
Didn't realize Derek soloed so much. Massive talent.
..Yes ! . . The fab Derek St. Holmes on rhythm 🎸 & (some) 🎤 s ! 😃 ...Sweet solo !! 1:55
@@tracyhall6195 and there became the rift between Ted and Derek. Derek wanted to be a bigger part of the band....Ted wanted it all about him.
@@blite13 ...With Uncle Ted's lifetime Ego, 🤯 ..totally believe you ! ... Love the Wildman, tho,, fo'sho !! 😄
I metTed Nugent years ago 💜 awesome guy☮️
My crazy uncle Ted
Ted Nugent Rocks brother remember 1976 in high school smoking guitar
not sure where ur from but we smoked weed
:)
Rock N’ Roll ain’t noise pollution.🇺🇸
Uncle Ted. The good old days.
@@JRPrestonIL 100%spot on with comments and this was Ted's best band and he never managed to replace ever, Derek, Rob and Cliff (RIP)
I heard that drugs weren't his thing..sex yes, was his drug of choice, I'd heard.. No biggie. Great rocker
That’s some amazing lead guitar work right there.
Now this is the nugent I remember and saw twice in New Haven.
Super helpful that they included the lyrics. Top notch.
