- Tofu Mozzarella Sticks, or should we say, Tofu Fries 🍟 ? Elevate your tofu game with this delicious snack. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and cooked to perfection in the air fryer for a healthier twist.

Makes 6 servings (about 5 sticks per serving)
Macros per serving: 20g P / 29g C / 6g F
Approximately 250 cal per serving

⭐️Ingredients:
-1.5 blocks (600g) extra firm tofu, cut into rectangles like fries 🍟
•
⭐️For The Batter:
- 1/2 cup (4oz) plant milk
- 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose whole wheat flour (gf-all purpose flour works great too)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Pinch black pepper

⭐️For the breading:
- 1 cup (120g) whole wheat breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

Steps:
1. Preheat the oven or air fryer to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the plant milk, flour, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt until well combined. In a second small mixing bowl add the breadcrumbs and Italian Seasoning.
3. Lightly dip the tofu rectangles in the batter, cover them in breadcrumbs, and place them on the parchment paper lined baking sheet.
4. Air fry the tofu for 12 minutes. Flip halfway or until browned and golden.
5. Serve with marinara sauce and enjoy.

Yes, you can… I actually tested a batch doing so it just came out less crunchy. Also, the flavor tvp or pea crumbles is very strong, so I didn’t notice it a little bit more.
