The only Tib-universe lore on this channel is RA1 (Sov), TD, Cov Ops, Ren, TS, FS, TW and Kane's. We don't need the others.

There is a richness to CnC lore that I think many either overlook or willfully ignore, scratch the surface and you will find some top tier sci-fi just itching to be explored. Damn fine work mate

@@lewistreadwell7006 It kind of makes sense, though: stripped of its pseudo-religious trappings, Nod political philosophy is about control. They value Tiberium for its qualities as a tool to bring about that control. The Scrin and the Forgotten represent what Nod fears most: for tiberium to wield control over them, instead of vice-versa.

Fun fact at 5:15 you can hear "arrows drom the sky" which is a line by the unit of Tratos in Firestorm when you select him. It actually refers to the mouse arrow in game, which makes Tratos having the only 4rth wall breaking line in the entire series!

It probably refers to the landing craft if it is a reference to the scrin. Or even the planetary invasion craft. The large capital ship with deployable fighters.
The biggest flaw in C&C 3 was the severe lack of The Forgotten, the most they had was the Mutant Hovel, which spawned Marauders, but the fact they were COMPLETELY obscure from the story, that was a major letdown, Tiberian Sun will always have the best story.
With how much resources GDI put into tiberium destruction. I would of liked them (especially Zocom) to take a dark turn with their attitude towards mutants.
Add a little xenophobia towards them so they’re not the purely good guys.

@@blindoutlaw And with the Steel Talons being the faction created by McNeil, the GDI hero that actually worked with and trusted the Forgotten, you could have a small civil war within GDI where they oppose the ZOCOM division.
Thematically, it would work perfectly!
The Steel Talons are the "underdog" of GDI's military departments, being the "department for experimental technology" in name only. They receive incredibly little funding and the walker weapons and technology they employ are considered outdated and surpassed by GDI's idea of standarts.
Meanwhile, ZOCOM is the "golden child" of GDI. Their success in employing and developing sonic technology to combat and erradicate Tiberium is deservingly received with the highest of praises. And the highest of fundings. Although not as numeral as the main military and civil garrisons of GDI, it is undeniable that ZOCOM is by far the most favored department of the organization.
_And yet, there is a far more crucial, _*_more moral_*_ difference between the two._
Steel Talons were founded by McNeil, so it stands to reason that, like their leader, the soldiers serving this faction would also be taught and share on his viewpoints. This would include, among many things, the importance of crushing Nod, the importance of developing GDI's military technology... _and also giving their aid to the Forgotten._ Their once precious allies,, but who are also people, constantly suffering from Tiberium.
Meanwhile, for all its high praises, ZOCOM is described as *"fanatically opposed to all Tiberium".* Their determination to rid the world of Tiberium reaching the point of raging zealotry, not unlike Nod's.
*Y-You can see the problem here, right?*
ZOCOM would be _on-sight_ against the Forgotten and wish to simply eradicate them once and for all, as another Tiberium plague upon the Earth. And because the majority of GDI's higher ups favor them greatly, they would most likely cover up and ignore any massacres that ZOCOM commited against the Forgotten, the media not even making a single mention of their existance.
But obviously, McNeil and the Steel Talons would be enraged by such atrocities, specially since they rightly know they do not align with GDI's core principles and purposes: it's not just "eradicate Tiberium", they are the *Global Defense* Initiative. And the Forgotten are also people. So obviously, they would do their most to oppose ZOCOM and their backers. *Even if it meant fighting against them, alongside the desperate and abandoned Forgotten.*
Not gonna lie, thay could make one hell of a really cool story!
And one that could follow up on Kane's Wrath, because at the end of the day, this civil war inside GDI would also be of great interest to Kane and the Brotherhood of Nod.
*And you know damn well he wouldn't let that chance slip by, he would try to take advantage of that situation in some way.*
Which could ultimately reinforce the importance of GDI and the Forgotten just setting their differences aside, help each other and unite against the brotherhood.
Or possibly even worse, *a second incursion of the Scrin.*
As Kane and LEGION found out, the assurance that General Granger's team gave that the Threshold Tower is completely inactive and dormant was completely wrong: them "Ichor" addicts are coming back for blood and the little "invasion" they had dealt with was only a _(supposedly small)_ mining corporation. *Not the Scrin's actual military force.*
So with that possibility imminent, the Forgotten's own knowledge and adaptability with Tiberium may yet prove to be more crucial than ever before.
And since the Brotherhood of Nod will always fanatically reject the idea of cooperating with them, it falls upon GDI to reforge that alliance. *That is, unless ZOCOM and their supporters continue to have their way.*

I think most people will agree that Tiberian Twilight is not canon, and amen to that.
i Honestly wonder if there was a proper C&C 4, if the planet was compromised not just on surface but also downwards towards the core. Earth becoming nothing more then a floating green crystal.

As far as I remember, there were plans for them but at the point of wrapping up the game the crew had no time nor the resources to make it happen.

Tiberium lifeforms in general were woefully underutilized in C&C3. The lifeforms of Tiberian Sun made the planet seem so alien, a feeling that the third game didn’t pull off.

Difficult to pull off (since I don't really know the formula for spawning a visceroid in details) but rewarding and fun as heck. Especially when playing as NOD.

Well there is the Forgotten mod for CnC3, which does introduce them as a fully fledged faction
to be honest the lack of a consistent 3rd faction has honestly been the biggest problem with c&c lore and gameplay.
The C&C got a good lore.
I think, the Forgetten got a big potensial.
They can survive in Tiberum hell and wasteland.
They leaved by both sides on slow death....
When a starts fight, like a "good guys vs bad guys", many, who watch on this fight, forget about people, who live there. They not got a power or any protection.
So, i just pay the respect to all mutants and Forgetten.
You are a strong. You always survive, in any place, in any time.
Even you got a scars of wounds, together, you can make more....
Stay strong, alive, and not alone....
These have always been my favorite faction - I love their aesthetic.
Hmm I guess they're their own faction. In Kanes Wrath they were only an army that could be called upon once their hub was captured. The mutant units were only infantry and part of marked of Kane and blackhand units

Westwood intended for Tib Sun to have the Forgotten as a third Faction with a Story Campaign.
EA prevented that and the fame was rushed out unfinished
finally, someone sees connection between spice of Dune and Tiberium! both gameplay wise as resourse, and as terraforming agent. remember those tib-gas spitting worms, they may be a Shai-Huluds relatives!
More C&C Lore? so soon? A Surprise, to be sure. But a welcome one.
The Forgotten had such potential. I always wanted to know more about them, see more of them. The mere existence of the Mutants as an independent group made the world feel so much more alive. One can only hope some future C&C game will do something with them.
The story is over. It all ended in C&C 4. If I remember correctly even tiberium magically vanished from the planet. I refuse to play the game and I know it's universally hated, but it's still the canon story.

by the way how do you get tiberian sun to work in windows 10? EA's fucking useless at helping and I can ever get into a single player game or anything cause it freezes when you click on anything in the menu it will back out if I hit the esc key but will not go any further forward and it makes Cain Mad

It's been a long, long time since I played this series, but it's lore and atmosphere has kept it fresh in the minds of fans for decades. This is some wonderful nostalgia.
As this channel lives, the Tiberium Universe never dies.
I said it before one a couple of your videos and once more I say that I love the amount of detail and research that goes into your videos on the lore. The presentation is top notch and FEELS C&C to watch. It is too bad the best hope we have for a proper sequel is a fan made game or mode with a campaign where all four factions (Nod, Scrin, GDI and Forgotten) progress in a way like Wars did, all leading to same result but you get to see all sides to the same story. I would love to see it run that way with every campaign turning to the "second to last mission" where after there is a four way final mission that plays out different depending on who you pick. Wipe out humanity and mutants to claim Earth for harvesting, secure a foothold in Red Zones using new mutant units to have a supply of tiberium from the most rich areas to create tiberium weapons for a new war on GDI, successfully begin the final stages of reclaimation of Earth from the crystal, or prove yourself as enough of a valid people and force GDI to the negotiation table to create Mutant-Human borders, giving mutants half of Earth while GDI reclaims and maintains the rest with hints such a peace will not last in the long run....
I would love to see a story like that, a true end to the saga if we see the GDI faction ending as canon but the Nod ending leaving the ending up to the players imagination.

I remember seeing your history of tiberium video many months ago, but only recently rediscovered your channel thanks to the algorithm blessing me with your video on the music of C&C. Glad to see you’re still making videos.
I have a very good feeling of that encounter between between the forgotten and GDI ever happened, GDI would happily allow them to use tiberium for their survival but under contained regions, that is until NOD decides to mess up everything again

McNeil is also seen as some type of mutant, in the lore he was rescued by GDI from a Nod medical colony, he was experimented on,that's why he says, "how does it feel to be the guinea pig for once?" when he captured Slavik and had him injected with a sedative.
I've c&c renegade but never understand much or fully play c&c Tiberian series, but after watched the whole chronology lore is very fascinating. Even your story telling is grim but there is nothing to joyful in such crude and twisted for this cursed world.
I love these lore videos. Command and Conquer is my favourite sci-fi universe of all time, and it makes me so happy to see people like you keeping it alive. We will not be forgotten!

I'm still sad that they never did put the Forgotten as a faction in Tiberium Wars. They were supposed to be the direct counter to the Scrin with many abilities that the Scrin never knew possible.
I absolutely love the "The Forgotten" mod for Tiberium Wars, but I was saddened that on top of so few missions, they never had the Forgotten being a major force fighting the Scrin except the last mission. _(which still put Kane as the bigger evil)_
Specially with all the new Tiberium related structures, abilities and powers that the faction showcased in that mod.
It aligns with this original concept, the Forgotten developing Tiberium-related phenomena in ways that not even the "experts", the Scrin could replicate, let alone the chaotic Nod.
Also... _it just didn't made sense for the Forgotten to not have a huge crisis with the Scrin invasion._
Both GDI and Nod *were getting their asses absolutelly kicked* by the initial attacks of that mining corporation. (remember, Foreman-371's forces are not the military branch of the Scrin)
So how come the Forgotten, the people who had retreated into the Red Zones, THE SAME Red Zones that were the landing target for the Scrin's Colony Ships, *weren't affected by it?*
I really would've liked at least two or three more missions taking place right after Mission 3 (where Salvatore has managed to bring the Forgotten's might to full power), where the Scrin invasion begins and you have to help in evacuating Forgotten civilians, escorting transports safely away, or trying to make a stand against the Scrin whether it proved successful or not.
It could've increased the weight of the last mission, whereit was just VITAL for the Forgotten to just take control of that incomplete second Threshold Tower and just gain any possibility of helping reverse this whole situation.
I dunno. Like I said, I absolutely love that mod, but that is why I felt the lack of conflict with the Scrin was a very big missed opportunity. That's just how I feel. :/

The infected Forgotten could be evolving into Scrin. That's crazy and I love it!
Okay so now we need to create the *Scrin Trilogy.*
Starting with,
*C&C: Dependence Day* - _The day the Mutant Scrin Fought back._
*C&C: Seed War* - _The Mutants won but their dependence on Tiberium is growing. So they create giant mass accelerators to launch Tiberium into space._ *_The Resistance Fights Back._*
*C&C: Kane's Exodus* - _As the Leader of the resistance Kane leads what's left of the non mutated on an assault to assassinate Scrin leadership and steal the Tacitus which contained his peoples knowledge including when Tiberium arrived on the Scrin world. He used the new just completed Mass accelerator to pursue the one Giant Tiberium rock they failed to stop._
Kane and his small remaining crew survived the long journey through space by cloning themselves. The newer mass driver shot them faster and they over took it arriving on Earth ahead.
Upon arrival they were separated and Kane's Ship the "Nod" was the only one that landed safely. Greeted by the local town folks who welcomed Kane and built a Temple around his ship to conceal it.
Seeing Kane as the new prophet. His followers called themselves the Brotherhood.
*Fan Fiction came to me while watching this video.*
Vegarot Fusion I see that as mostly accurate, but I feel like Kane was more or less placed here, way back in the day, just a bit after the seeding of the planets themselves with the original men and women, the Adams and Eves. Oh well, Joe hasn’t stepped into the spotlight in a while so we don’t have any more story for the prophet for now.
So much potential for a new Cnc game after the remasters. Hoping and Praying for that potential to be realized.

While I don't think the idea of kane offering GDI a "solution" to save the planet only to use it as a power source for his tower is bad at all, I appreciate the omission of CnC4.

I really enjoyed this fascinating look at the forgotten backstory. As much as I loved Command and Conquer 3. The one thing it did wrong was not giving the Forgotten much acknowledgement. I would've loved to see more of them. Strangely despite only being the 2nd game in the series; Tiberian Sun somehow feels even further in the future. It's also undoubtedly the darkest in the series and had a beautiful atmospheric soundtrack to go with it.

Love the effort you put into these videos mate. I hope we will have a triumphant return of C&C one day. I was hoping Warcraft 3 Reforged would be received well to spark some more interest in RTS games but it currently stands at 0.5 on Metacritic. Ouch. The C&C Remasters seems to be shaping up pretty well though.
It's a real shame about Reforged. Thing is it puts EA, strangely, in the position to genuinley make an impact in the genre by getting the Remasters right, I really hope they do! I don't trust EA much, but Jimtern, who is heading the project, really seems to know what he's doing. Fingers crossed.

When you pause the video at 9:13 and look and the top of the vehicle, you can see 3 faces there.
You can see a lot of influence from Westwood’s work on Dune 2 leak into the C&C, even the stories. Basically trading out spice for Tiberium.

Haha yeah, you're the second to spot that! In every major video since the F-Zero doc, I've been hiding subtle easter eggs for an old podcast I listen to. That picture in the Disruptor cannon has been in ever C&C lore video so far, and will be hidden in all future lore videos too. Consider it a game of Where's Wally if you like
As noted in the end, the tiberium will probably never go away from Earth, just becouse how useful it is, even for GDI alone, nevermind NOD etc. As for Forgotten, i never cared for them, in truth, both of the factions kinda hate them. GDI for being mutants and NOD for thinking that tiberium is a curse instead of blessing and if they like tiberium, they should join the NOD anyway. So i always kinda "liked" purging them, though those tiberium dogos were awesome!
