My style is usually to collect a manga series only after watching the anime and liking it enough to spend on the manga volumes. Whether its a complete series or not. It has the rereading factor. The only first series i just started collecting without all that is, in the clear moonlit dusk. Something about the plot hits home. 🤭
@@Rent-z5y it’ll be hard to start because I don’t wanna spend on series I don’t know if i’d like. People’s taste differs from mine. In the clear moonlit dusk is the first and only one i’ve tried.
Same. Mangas are so expensive, I can't just buy them and hope for the best lol The only ones I've bought without watching the anime is Witch Hat Atelier (but I watched a youtube video on the paneling so it wasn't completely foreign to me) and cat + gamer (can't go wrong with a simple slice of life with a cute cat, right?)
Paradise Kiss is actually a sequel/spin-off of another Ai Yazawa’s series called “Gokinjo Monogatari” (released in english with the title “Neighborhood Story” I believe), whose female lead is the older sister of Miwako - the second female lead in Paradise Kiss. It’s a high school romance but still centers about fashion and creators too….if you love Paradise Kiss, you’re gonna **adore** Gokinjo. 💗💗
Great video! March comes in like a lion is my favourite manga ever and I didn't expect you to mention it! It's so underrated, but soooo good, I love the cast and the character growth, and I love Rei so much! You have good taste!!!!
I'll definitely look in to Gachiakuta, Gokurakugai and Marriage Toxin! Also I'd recommend Go! Go! Loser Ranger! it got an anime adaptation recently and it's really good pretty unique!
I like that you actually show the manga physically. Personally, Im turned off by videos that just recommend series just by showing the digital pictures
LOVE these recommendations!! I really recommend Mairimashita! Iruma-kun ( or welcome to demon school iruma kun) The manga is sooo amazing and filled with so much lovable characters with great relationship building as well as plenty of action and the comedy is top tier. Although in short it’s about a Human boy who gets adopted by a demon and now has to navigate going to a demon school it’s just so much fun and the STORY is amazing!! It’s also filled with so much underlying themes!! I just want everyone to read it. It also has a anime which is just as great. (but the manga is better!!)
16:40 AAAH march comes in like a lion!!!! 😭 i've been following on every single chapter of it. i absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it. it's a bit hard to read, especially if you know nothing about shogi, and there's quite a bunch of dialogue on each panel, but i enjoy it. really.
World Trigger should definitely be on the list! It is a super great shonen series! It is underrated, but in my opinion way better then a lot of the the popular series!❤
Snow White with the Red Hair NEEDS to be on this list! It's such a smartly-written, enchanting title with beautiful artwork and amazing characters!❤❤❤ Can't recommend it enough!
@@BlueButterfly1514 It's about Shirayuki, an herbalist with extremely rare red hair, and Zen, the second prince of the neighboring kingdom. I'm not doing this amazing series justice though, so here's an excerpt from the wiki for the anime: "Although her name means "snow white", Shirayuki is a cheerful, red-haired girl living in the country of Tanbarun. She works diligently as a pharmacist at her herbal shop. Her life changes drastically when she is noticed by the entitled prince of Tanbarun, Prince Raji, because of her rare red hair. He tries to force her to become his concubine. Unwilling to give up her freedom, Shirayuki cuts her long red hair, leaving it as a souvenir for the prince, and escapes into the forest of the neighboring country of Clarines. After being found by the Raji, she is rescued by Zen Wistaria, the second prince of a Clarines, and his two aides. Hoping to repay her debt to the trio someday, Shirayuki sets her sights on pursuing a career as a royal court pharmacist in Zen's country. Akagami no Shirayuki-hime depicts Shirayuki's journey toward a new life at the royal palace of Clarines, as well as Zen's endeavor to become a prince worthy of his title. As loyal friendships are forged and deadly enemies formed, Shirayuki and Zen slowly learn to support each other as they walk their own paths."
Love Sakamoto Days so much. One of the funniest books I've ever read. Witch Hat Atilier is amazing so far. I have to get Gokurakugai. Would also recommend Yotsuba& for beginners-- one of my favourites (waiting for Vol. 16!)
I know I'm a little late on the video lol, but I always recommend at least two or three manga to everyone. #1 Case Closed, or known as Detective Conan in Japan, worth reading for those whole love mysteries and solving crimes. #2 Kitchen Princess, a sweet/bittersweet manga about an orphan girl moving to tokyo to find her long lost "Flan Prince" who saved her life when she was little, and is an amazing chef/baker I can not recommend this series enough! My #3 will be Red River, a girl travels back in time falls in love with a prince and debates weather or not to try and go back to her own time or stay with the man she loves. Also worth the read and recently republished into an omnibus!
Thank you so much for the recommendations!! A manga I’d recommend is “3 days of happiness” The manga has also a different name but I forgot what it’s called, I’m sorry😭
Gokurakugai is like Berserk and 5th one is similar to Elemental Gelade but hard to find the name. Skip looks okay. Neat will probably read those. Plus Tongue and Call the Night.
Blue box is such a refreshing manga. Even though it serializes in Shonen Jump, it feels like a shojo manga... It is definitely recommended to all romance lovers.
i like usotoki rhetoric and think associate professor akira-kun's conjecture is similar and maybe better, although i like the novels better than the manga. the main character also can hear lies and joins up with someone to solve mysteries, but it's set in current day.
A series I recommend is Blue Giant. If you want to feel inspired to do something, watch the movie or read the manga. If you love music or into the music industry, you HAVE to watch or read it! It is my personal favorite animanga ever, so I'd recommend it!! 🗿🍷
omg I really do love Blue Giant!! I watched the movie and then immediately RAN to the manga, it's amazing!! I haven't finished reading but can't wait to finish ~ thank you so much for the rec
i have a question, as we all know that some of the mangas from this list is getting a anime soon, so wouldn't it spoil it for me if i read the manga first? i have seen people reading manga when the adaptation gets announced, but i have tried it once and it spoiled it all for me, i couldn't enjoy it fully
@@mangatama wow, love to see someone who likes the series, very good video btw i love checking out ur channel, just because of you i want to go to Japan, ty for putting all this work on the videos 😁
I don't know how you see it, but as a boy I would never read something like that, I've never seen a boy who loves love stories and I would lose my masculinity with something like that
