Just started collecting manga and I gotta say, your way of summarizing the manga is phenomenal. Thanks for the recommendations and keep up the great videos
I've been watching Play It Cool, Guys and it's a lovely anime! I'm hoping that the manga in Japanese isn't too difficult. I'm still trying to transition from textbook learning to actual Japanese reading.
I am currently reading A Condition Called Love and it is one of my favorite manga I have read. I love all the characters and the art is amazing. Really love the romance and the drama. Definitely worth the read :D
Another recommendation for 2023 is “Blue Lock” It’s a soccer manga so if you love soccer and manga it might be the perfect book for you. Even if you aren’t into soccer though it’s a really good read!
One manga/ anime that’s great that I just discovered is Romantic Killer. The manga is all in color, which brings a unique and vibrant approach. The anime you can watch on Netflix! It’s soo good. I love the main protagonist, Anzu.
actually "play it cool guys" is in emission in my fav page of anime! i'm waiting for the emission ends, i'm not that thype of ppl who is so exited to wait a new capter, i've been asking myself to read the manga
I got my nickname "hori" from horimiya😭❤️ and I loved it. Dress up darling is so damn good, I was really looking forward to every update of dress up darling when it was just a new release. I have watched almost all of you have mentioned andd looking forward for moree
I’ve been so busy that I haven’t watched this til 4 months after it was uploaded, but great video! Also I love the discord so much, people are so friendly!
Yona of the Dawn is a masterpiece. 💖💖 I first read it online during the pand3mic and reached up to I believe volume 13; when it finally got published in my country, I of course started the collection. 💞 The series is at volume 41 now….and I’ve yet to pick it up again - because I’d like wait until the series ends before reading (or I’d get madd waiting for the next volumes LOL). 😅
I still need to check out Yona. I’ll say a good manga to start with is Maison Ikkoku for those looking for a romcom or maybe blue giant if you’re into performing music
Omg I am currently obsessed with Yona, Apothecary Diaries and Ooku. I am really praying for a Yona nendoroid. I really love your list. Monster and Vinland Saga have been on my to read list but you have convinced me to pick it asap. Think will start with vinland saga. I love historical manga.
yaay another recommendation video!! i’ll be definitely starting off the new year with one of your reccs (it’s how i actually started reading spy x family last february) 😁 have a merry christmas, or whatever holiday you celebrate!! 💗
Absolutely Fantastic picks here! Started reading vinland saga almost two years ago and it easily became my favorite series ever. Dress up Darling I started reading after falling in love with the anime with its characters and the cosplay designs.
Watched the first season of Vinland Saga this year and I immediately binged the manga and caught up a couple weeks ago. Definitely one of my favorites. Can't wait for the second season of the anime.
If you want a relatable slice of life romance, read Wotakoi. I know it was trending during quarantine, but the manga is so much better than the anime and it makes you feel good inside. I just finished collecting all of wotakoi, I'm pretty new to manga but your recommendations always help to find what to read next! Can't wait to hear from you again
I'd like to recommend: *1. "Hikaeme ni Itte mo, Kore wa Ai" by Fujimomo* [ Spare eraser? Check. Extra folding umbrella? Check. First aid kit? Check. Cool and collected high school student Risa Amakawa has something in her heavy bag for every situation, and the last thing she needs-or knows how to ask for-is anyone's help. When she saves a beat-up delinquent in the park one rainy evening, she refuses any sort of repayment. But it turns out that saving the notorious Zen Ohira buys her the attention of some unsavory characters. As Zen keeps swooping in to help her out of one pickle after another, her feelings about relying on anyone but herself-and her feelings toward Zen-slowly begin to change...] *2. "Unmei no Hito ni Deau Hanashi" by Anashin* [ Yuki is a 20-year-old college sophomore who has wished for one thing since moving to Tokyo: to find her soulmate. Growing a bit desperate after a long drought, she goes along with a friend to a club for the first time. Her friend thrives, but it's chaotic and loud...just not Yuki's scene. Just when Yuki begins to despair that she'll never ever find a real, adult relationship, she meets Iori, a man with bleached hair and a slightly scary demeanor… but first impressions don't always tell the whole story. Could destiny still have more cards to play? ]
I watched Monster as the anime first many years back and fell in love with it. On a hunt to buy the anime dvd (as I was a young broke lady back then and didn’t watch it the legal way lol) I found it wouldn’t be easy so I looked into the manga. I know not many English dubbed anime’s translate the same in manga form or a lot is cut out but I really think they were both a match. So I was happy to invest in the complete collection. Horimiya is another one I watched in anime form first and liked it. There’s a lot of animes I watched that I forgot the name of but going through my manga era have reconnected a lot of the dots. Great video as always 👍🏾 perfect relaxing video to watch on Boxing Day while cleaning up Christmas madness
Thank you for recommendations! Yona and play it cool guys seems interesting, i wanna read them. At first I thought the play it cool guys are manhwa cuz its colored😅 Amazing video, happy holiday and marry Christmas🎄🎅⛄
Absolutely great picks with Monster and Vinland Saga! I really think that this upcoming year you should try to get into Fullmetal Alchemist since I've never seen you talk about it, you gotta check it out.
Not sure if you’ve read it or watched the anime but I would highly recommend either Bungo Stray Dogs and/or Tokyo revengers. Those are the two I’m most into rn. The manga for both of them is much better than the anime in my opinion so I would recommend reading the manga over the anime but I still really like the anime adaptations of both! Highly recommend them both ❤️
I've rewatched Horimya 3 times and recently started collecting the manga really good series, just did not like how at the end they started going away from the main couple and more into the others but that's just my opinion.
Guys u SHOULD read akatsuki no yona its the best manga ever + horymia saved me from my hardest days the anime was jumping thru too many good champter so you missed to many funny and sweet moments
I have bought a series called go with the clouds the art is just beautiful, it takes place in iceland which is one of my favourite locations in the world. It is a 5 books series. Next i am keeping my eyes on when oshi no ko will release cause i am excited to buy it goddamn
I like Horimiya and I like the romance and the character designs and stuff but I found it weird when they introduced a degrading kink to the main character 😵💫
i know this is not a manga series, but i recommend checking out the light novel series mushoku tensei. it’s about a jobless and hopeless man who dies after having a sad and withdrawn life in a fantasy world while keeping his memories.

I always forget manga readers watch anime as well💀💀💀💀
Vinland saga is amazing 🤩
yesss I love it so much!!
Not sure about the manga but the anime pacing for Monster was very bad
oh wow thanks for your thoughts on this! I haven’t finished the anime so can’t speak to it but the manga pacing was perfect I felt
It was not bad at all
It was slow and it was not for everyone
If you don't like it that doesn't mean the pacing was bad
I didn’t watch the anime but the manga is extremely slow.
Im Not done with the Anime, but i Thing the pacing ist good so far. Will it get worst ?
don’t ever disrespect monster again
