The ironic part is that Reginald is the kind of dragon that's likely to eventually grow into a dragonlord simply because his judgement is good enough and thinking flexible enough to know when not to fight immediately and find alternative solutions - a trait most dragons lack since they get arrogant. He is also curious enough to avoid stagnation.
This is just the tip of the iceberg.
His thirst for knowledge, his abundance for caution and his instincts would literally guarantee him to be a dragonlord.
Not gonna lie that Grasp Heart instakill is totally unfair, at least Ainz pretended to give Gazef a Fighting Chance in their fight.😑

You are generally auto immune to its base instant death effect actually
You just need to be at least level 60...
It's actually a fairly standard spell in D&D. There are spells that exist that, if cast on an enemy within a certain HD (hit dice) or level threshold, it would simply kill them instantly. Grasp heart works much in the same way. It actually would be a fairly useless spell against a higher level player, but because of the weakness of the entities in the new world, it may come off as seeming OP. In actual fact, since Ainz is using a crappy roleplay build, and grasp heart is his favorite spell more for aesthetic purposes, it must be like a high level player in D&D ecstatic that he gets to cast magic missile again and have it actually do something XD
@@Kadash10 Well, also because if it whiffs it's still guaranteed to stun. It was actually pretty useful for safely checking how strong an enemy was.

It's amusing how Ainz believes Hejinmal is a rare species because he has some fat on him compared to the other dragons since it doesn't seem like he is much of a fighter. 😂

Huh, once you think about, maybe being fat and lazy might of been a luxury in Ainz’s old world. You know since he had to constantly work to keep the lights on and food was really expensive
People call shiny pokemon rare just because they have different color pallets. A nerdy neet fat dragon that begs for it's life is rarer than those reskins.
I like how Ainz thinks up of why Hajinmal has three mothers and the reason for them. Just....*naturally* tho that it almost seems unnatural and even Ainz was making up excuses to keep them alive. Even though he would have liked more dragon corpses, growing them to elder level as the mothers are at would be more painstakingly long than getting more corpses from battlefields. A nice interaction that really stood out to me.
the scene that got me rolling was then Ainz asked which one of them was his mother and all the 3 dragon wives hastily answered in unison they were.
The first time I saw Ains one hit kill a Dragonlord I only thought - "WHAT? This dragon is only as strong as that soldier from season one that Ains killed and made into Death Knight?
Afterwards I was told that this spell is simply that good. Oh well xD.

Aiz and his guild were not the strongest players. I'm sure there are other player who used level 100 to its max capability and played far more intelligently
As it stands Aiz' intelligence is average and his growth rate is slow

Ains is clearly subconsciously a genius. His casting ability comes from "muscle memory" as if.
So unless all humans transported over are fucking idiots unable to even remember half their builds, Ains is smart as hell.

Though he did not pick the "sword" that he coincidently failed to identify because Gondo called him (which btw kinda smells like bs to me but plot and what have you) he did pick up another item from that treasury that he got interested in, though what item that was I couldn't tell you.

i got spoiled on episode 6 that Ainz fought a dragon barehanded and when i watched episode 7 i was waiting for at least a fast but cool battle, instead i got hit in the face with reality lmao
Content like this inspired me to stard reading novels and see the full picture. Not only they are informative, they also show us how much an anime can skip due to it's limitations in time/budget and so on. Great video, as always
I feel this dragon is more akin to how Momonga was actually like. The dragons being very cautious and attempting to make the most of his situation with information gathering before striking. Now Ainz does exercise some level of over cautiousness but as time goes on you just see him jump into things and basically play it by ear. Like how he ended up in the tournament off of a recommendation and was just like "bet" and from there saw the dwarves had something he wanted and was just like "bet".
I wish we got more details about that magic sword, it'd be cool to see Ainz use it one day.
It's like a big deal for me to watch Overlord and come here to watch this after for even more world building. Love you content.

1 detail you forgot to mention is that this magic sword was one ainz was going to appraise with one of his spell but was cut off by gondo and never actually investigated further has far has we know since he just forgot about it.
Sad to see no new information about the sword in the Dwarves treasury but always happy to watch some new cut content.

When Hejinmal the shut-in is the wisest of the Frost Dragons since he spent his days studying. Fat boy got big brain. I mean those are mountains of books he has in his room. The way you described Hejinmal is practically describing Ainz and his take on this world. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail they say and Hejinmal is one dragon that isn't about to let a dragon's pride get the better of him because no point saying you're always prepared if you are the strongest if you gonna wind up dead.
Aside from that, I imagine Hejinmal may become someone impressive if he commits to his studies of arcane magic. There was lots of treasures from the Frost Dragons but the real treasure trove was Hejinmal's room of books. Can we get a new class of Frost Dragons called Frost Dragon Sorcerers?
I always thought that sword Ainz finds would turn out to be way more important than Ainz believed. It was just written in such a strange way. The author described its uniqueness, then made a point of having Ainz get interrupted before he could Identify it. It was just an odd scene to include for it not to come back into play later.
Love how the youngest was the smartest like if I see him as somewhat with good clothing and somewhat not speaking to me and staring I might as well either submit or run away from him the smartest dragonling made a correct move that mimics Ainz's perception if he where to be in his shoes.
Pride is one thing but literally throwing yourself into the meat grinder is just stupid, im glad he was that smart...
@@BL33NB Agreed his father the dragon lord was too prideful of being powerful and also very much greedy so he was killed by a much more powerful opponent like a proverb I heard of I think "Pride before the Fall?"

Don't get your hopes up. (Not a spoiler but a comparison) Nabe will wipe up his ass-off if they fought.
I only watch the anime but I don't think so. Other than his gun and probably even his armor, he didn't gave off any skill or technique. He just flew there and squeezed the trigger. If it's just his equipment, we already knew what will happen to him based on Ainz's fight against Shallchair.
Not to mention that death knights are relatively low levelled summons.
Well, we will see the real opponent who can challenge Ainz next episode.

The dragon not being able to open the door like it was no difficulty isn't true, Ainz himself used a special key with like only 8 uses to open it if he could have smashed it open he would have to save the uses.
this enter the same category as ainz blindness to gondo doing, he dont want to spoil the relationship stealing the dwarf treasure , they probably knew the vailt was safe since the quaqoa did not got massively strong in a short time .

No that's not the case.
Other lv100 players were probably there years ago cause they left World Items here and there(one World Item left behind is the thing that's used to brainwash Shalltear). They probably just died because their race doesn't have long lifespans. Although most players were indeed low level ones because PDL(platinum dragon lord) kills players occasionally.(PDL isn't lv100 btw, just forgot if it was mentioned in the LN or not)
