I’m surprised you didn’t mention the tie between the Pleiades sisters, and the constallation. There are seven stars in the Pleiades sisters, but only six are readily visible, with a seventh (hard to see or hidden) one, which may be why one of the sisters were hidden away from the main six
She is level 100 and a max level commander/general type. Being a commander/general allows her to boost others' powers...To the point where she can boost mid level characters to be able to harm/kill a level 100 character. Edit: and she's neutral evil.
@@ceshmate1953 They're not stated outright, because it's said no one in Yggdrasil ever fulfilled them. I am pretty sure that being a goblin or affiliated with a goblin faction (as Enri was) is one The last one is the hardest to pinpoint but it's very likely related to the size of the force you've "aggroed" before using the helm. Because the Horn was a noob item, nobody in their right mind would waste a valuable inventory spot taking it into high-end raiding content where your guild may be required to face hundreds if not thousands of enemies at once. Combine this with the likelihood that a player would be a Goblin and a commander class in the first place, knowing that monster races were unpopular in Yggdrasil to begin with, and it's not surprising no one ever managed to trigger all three conditions.
Why did you say that there were 3 trap portals out of 4? Counting out the throne room door and the date with neuronist door, I only see two trap portals man.
Four is a random number dar as I know, it's just an example to show that one portal set must remain unchanged so that a single clear route remains intact
She was mentioned in the anime, at least in the dub. I think is was the second or third season at the start of it. I think the line came from Ainz and was something like:" Sebas will step down from beaing the leader of the Pleiades and the youngest of the sisters Aureole Omega will take his place."
In that case the dub was an alternative version of the story as both in the Light Novels and the Anime Yuri Alpha is assigned as the leader of the Seven Sisters formation because Ainz didn't want to take "her" (Aureole Omega) from her post on the 8th floor.
@@Vezoth56 actualy you are probably right, hmmm... Well yes i was wrong, he said the oldest and that was Yuri. So sorry i forgot and you are right Yuri replaced sebas
TCS _ You're both kind of right. In the anime at the very least Aureole is assigned as the leader of the Pleiades and Yuri as the second in command when Sebas steps down from commanding the Pleiades. Since Aureole can't leave her post, Yuri ends up as pretty much their leader instead
@@liam-ethanwallis4924 Well i am sorry for the misinformation, i don't quite remember the scean, and sadly don't have the time to rewatch it, but thanks for letting me know ;P
Arguable, Ainz is a mage, whereas Aureole is a min-maxed commander type character, so in a one on one she'd probably lose, but she is strong enough to make it so that even Shizu was able to easily interrupt Ainz's spells despite Ainz being a level 100 character.
Something you forgot: Aureole DID have a role in the game beyond being just an npc area guardian. She was programmed so that she was an A.I. in charge of overseeing teleportation within the Dungeon of Nazarick. While you did mention that there was a system that oversaw teleportation in Nazarick, you misunderstood or didn't communicate it correctly. It wasn't a spell nor a dungeon system. It was an A.I. assigned to Aureole. It's not done by Aureole only in the New World. The A.I. doing it was Aureole's, hence making her different, more advanced than all of the other custom-made npcs. Thus, the correct way to say it when summarized would be: Anyone trying to teleport without her permission (or without the Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown) in the dungeon became targeted automatically by Aureole, with her either cancelling the teleportation or worse, choosing a trap spot as the new teleportation endpoint.
It actually makes sense how the younger siblings are stronger. Because if you build something, you will find a better method for building later on and make something better than the previous one.
I remember back in season 2 episode 10 after Ains lets Tuare become a maid under Sebas, he removes Sebas as the team leader of the Pleiades, has Aureole Omega join the as the youngest member, and puts Yuri Alpha as deputy leader. I couldn't remember who she was and thought I missed someone earlier, didn't realize they were such a cool character. Great job with the awesome video as always, keep up the great work!
Actually, Aureole is in volume 8 of the light novel. Enri sees her for a brief moment when she's teleported into the 9th floor of Nazarick, but that scene was skipped in the anime. It was just a brief mention of Enri noticing her, and of course she didn't know who Aureole was. Aureole is also present in the Emissary of the King's blu-ray special side-story (which can be found on the skythewood blog's overlord page). That side-story is from the perspective of a Death Knight used as a messenger within Nazarick by Ainz. The Death Knight in question goes to Aureole in order to be teleported to another floor.
1:49 hear that again. Did she appeared directly, or she just a background character in volume 8, which he did mentioned in his, "what was cut off from season 3 of Overlord" series. And did Aureole appear in the Emissary of King? No, that side story didn't even mentioned her name, it only indicated that someone was questioning the Death Knight's movements throughout the gates, as she's the one who supervised the gates. But if you don't know who Aureole Omega was, you wouldn't even suspected it to be her, or think that a new character was questioning it. So all of the above mentioned wasn't a direct "scene" where she is fully seen as a character directly involve within those scenes.
@@Qopa It doesn't matter that we're not told that it's Aureole. What matters is that Enri did see her and that part of the chapter was from Enri's perspective. Meaning that if the anime had adapted that part of the chapter we would've finally gotten to see Aureole's appearance without it being shrouded in shadows like it is in the illustration of Ainz and all of Nazarick's level 100 custom-made NPCs.
@@sancturillore I didn't argue that it's not Aureole Omega nor it matter since you brought it up. I'm a light novel reader too. Let me repeat. AniNews already made a video talking about that missing scene on his "what was cut off from season 3" series. And that was the part where you just describe right there on Volume 8. It wasn't a "direct" appearance, it was an indirect one. She's literally just a background character walking around Nazarick, appearing obscured.
I think in Igdrassil the Aureole Omega teleport tricks could have work like some sort of code kind of like "if:human ; move to:Z, if:Heteromorph ; move to:A" or something like that
Little addition: Victims Skill is a snare, aka movement restriction spell that it can activate by sacrificing itself. It is theorised that its skill can, simmilar to Ainz TGOALID, surpass any resistence against it. That snare is also the reason why Demi brings it along when they talk to sebas about tsuare. In case Sebas would try anything they would use victims skill to restrain him quickly
The primary way that Nazarick adheres to the Ariadne System is by having areas like the 4th floor. The 4th floor is a large open cavern completely filled with water, guarded by Gargantua (so there's no door or wall and therefore a direct and easy path from entrance to exit... so long as you can breathe in the water and survive Gargantua.) Several other floors are also fairly open, the 5th and 6th floors both look very open and easy to navigate under normal circumstances. Based on the description of the 7th floor, I'd guess it was also fairly open. I believe I remember a part where Ainz said that the 8th floor was a large open area as well. Doing all of that allowed Nazarick to become quite big while still adhering to the Ariadne System. It seems there were two primary ways of building out your base, either as a large maze type structure, which would be difficult to do with the Ariadne System's parameters, or a more open system which was more easily conquered. The members of Ainz Ooal Gown seem to have used the maze type system only in the first 3 floors, guarded by Shalltear, which would likely have been more than enough for most small scale incursions, but they were probably smart enough to realize that any large scale invasion would need something way more powerful to stop them, so rather than try as hard as they can to stop them as early as they could, the idea might have been to lull them into a false sense of security then hit them with everything they had on the 8th floor. The teleport network was likely the only means of going from floor to floor if you didn't have a ring (as you suggested) and that is monitored by Aureole Omega, however you do kind of see her for a brief second in one scene of the 2nd season if I remember well, but you can't really tell who it is.
315th viewer! yay! Dang it, staying up to 03:00 am has never been so rewarding! It's awesome to see a video on the 7th member of the Pleiades! Thank you for shedding light unto this mysterious character AniNews Senpai!! P.S. New merch looks awesome! More please!
They do mention her in the sub of the anime, in season 2 ep 10, at 12:15, ainz says to sabas that he would temporarily step down as the leader of the battle maids to work with tuareninya for a bit and that aureole would take over for the time being! Crazy right!
3:56 We can make some inferrences though. Given her apparent design as a combination Miko/Ideal Woman, there are some possibilities: 1. Her creator may have been a very big fan of/highly respected Miko in general. 2. Her creator's family may have had many Miko within it, going back a long time. This could be combined with Option 1. 3. Her creator may have been a devout follower of Shintoism.
I have to say, Aureole greatly reminds me of Ara from Elsword, who was also a shrine maiden with a strong spiritual connection to spirits and Shintoism. Their names are also remotely similar! Hmmm.... EDIT: when Ara enters her awakening form, she gains 9 white tails, white hair, and fox ears, much like Uka-No-Mitama.
Aureole is a supportive buffer. Even though she's among the lv 100 Npcs in Nazarick, she will have a hard time fighting her sisters even if she's 50 levels ahead of them. For a better image if you play league, imagine using a maxed lv Soraka to fight a lv 8 vayne.
@@AblackGenie btw they decided to release 3 episodes of Pure Ple Pleiades tho Check this Tweet: twitter.com/over_lord_anime/status/1395687570000908291?s=19
It really makes a lot of sense why we don't really see much of her in either the Light Novel or the Anime. Her entire character really goes against everything in Nazarick. Being a Human, a shrine maiden, and most notably an actually good being. Normally the nicest characters like Cocytus are still neutral at best. It works well for a min-max guild to use a diverse array of characters, but for a guild that is simultaneously a role-playing guild she simply does not fit in. It would be interesting to see her in a spin-off series like Pure Pure Pleiades. It does seem like the best place for her to fit-in. Especially as a character that entirely contradicts the things Nazarick is all about, and that contradiction can easily be her strong suit for comedic purposes.
Even better than sending people into traps would be sending people down floors repeatedly. Say you have an entry and exit portal on floors 1, 2, and 3. Normally, each portal sends you straight to the next floor. However, Aureole could temporarily make the floor 2 portal teleport back down to 1, and 1 to 3. That way whenever an enemy steps into a portal they can never enter floor 3, but there always exists a path to floor 3.
The creator of this channel is impressive. I was baited to watch the whole 16 mins and still ask who is Aureole Omega. And to answer that, I need to watch the next episode in which we don't know if the question would be answered. May be it will be answered on the 10th part. Great!
Or read wiki. It's not like he's providing much more information than there already is. Not to mention some things he says either outright wrong or just assumptions.
In regards to the theory posited at 9:30, Since the actual Pleiades were named the seven sisters, I'd have to guess that when they were created that Aureole was created as an official Pleiades Sister and not an unofficial one without the permission of the other six Pleiades Sister's creators, though this is of course merely an educated guess..
Perhaps she was created as a failsafe, in case the other NPCs got out of hand... Maybe she is actually divine in nature making her more powerful than the others and able to destroy them if she has to. Because of this reason she's usually kept away from the other Pleiades. That's my theory.
she isn't going to be that relevant in the story yet. Nothing about her is talked about in the light novel, but the Web novel does talk quite alot about overlord's setting, 13 heroes, dragons, the war 300 years ago, and so on. The only problem there is whether the information from the web novel is canon to the light novel or not.
I hope they reveal Aureole full appearance one day and also where can I find the art at 1:57 and include the artist name as well, it's for my *cough* *cough* phone wallpaper *cough* *cough*
He already mentioned it in one of his overlord videos, and that's her first appearance in the light novel, not second. Btw, we actually get to see how she talks in one of the side story; saying Ara at the end of her sentences like Shalltear does.
@@xDaRKWoLFZ Are you referring to the side story? Because that didn't happen while Enri and Nphirea visited Nazarick. And that has nothing to do with the fact that we only get to see her, the light novel describes her with the sakura petals and miko dress, with an actual apperance (being there in person) for the first time in season 3. Or is your grammar and your understanding of the language just bad since you did said, "She makes an(?) one second appearance", second appearance means showing up for the second time btw.
@@Qopa Maybe I chose my words wrong since I wrote before going to sleep late, so: She makes her first and only physical apperance (which was practically only one second) in Volume 8 epilogue. Then we "hear" her talking in Pleaides Day, which occurs after Volume 10. Aureole didn't appeared in Season 3, and she doesn't end her sentences with "ara", but she starts with it. And Shalltear doesn't end her sentences with "ara" too.
Much like the players who made Serbas Tein’s name a play on words (serve us tea) Aureole Omega is just a cheeky way of saying big boobs. It’s one of the many little reminders that the ‘supreme beings’ were just a bunch of gamers.
I think that if Igdrassil really existed in our world Rextroy from world of warcraft will be one of the guild members or Nazarick, the guy is so hardcore that he has complete big top edge raids by himself through the explotation of every possible advantage certain broken class (in that time was the paladin or holy Knight) has and believe me WoW raids are specifically designed to be imposible to complete without at least a minimun of different classes (like Tanks, supports and healers) involved.
And he did imply that she was mentioned. He said she didn't get an actual appearance in the anime (was supposed to appear during season 3), but just her being mentioned in the anime.
Yuri alpha and Aureole Omega, the beginning and the end, when the alpha has appeared the story has begun and when the omega has been introduced the beginning of the end has begun, when Aureole omega is introduced its the beginning of the end of the story.
How close is the seventh Sister to the other six? How do They think of their mysterious and always hidden sister? The six Peiades sisters are pretty close when they are hanging out within nazarick.
Shes probably a shut-in, when you enter the inner shrine, lots of lcd monitors monitoring portals, computers, server room and such, very much like a security room in movies
She's actually programmed to not leave the cherry blossom area in the 8th floor. So she's kinda trapped there, but if she actually do all of those NEET stuffs that would be funny lol.
Aureole Omega is actually referenced once in the anime (episode 10 season 2) when sebas is removed from his position as leader of the Pleiades for his actions.
I don't think Sebas was removed cause of his actions. Ainz just needs him somewhere else. In the events of an invasion in Nazarick he can still command the Pleiades. They're made to be that way.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention the tie between the Pleiades sisters, and the constallation. There are seven stars in the Pleiades sisters, but only six are readily visible, with a seventh (hard to see or hidden) one, which may be why one of the sisters were hidden away from the main six
I was thinking about the same things... It would have been better if he had referred to Merope even a little bit..
apperantly, because the seventh one is hard to see
The constelation is called 6 stars in asia unlike with the greeks who calls it 7
Youngest sister is the strongest huh? starting to sense a pattern.
She is level 100 and a max level commander/general type.
Being a commander/general allows her to boost others' powers...To the point where she can boost mid level characters to be able to harm/kill a level 100 character. Edit: and she's neutral evil.
TheNordhammer do you think she can summon a lot of goblins with the goblin horn ?
Nope.
Omega only meets one of the three requirements.-being a general/commander
@@TheNordhammer What's the other two ?
@@ceshmate1953 They're not stated outright, because it's said no one in Yggdrasil ever fulfilled them. I am pretty sure that being a goblin or affiliated with a goblin faction (as Enri was) is one
The last one is the hardest to pinpoint but it's very likely related to the size of the force you've "aggroed" before using the helm.
One leads to Mare
Adam Herčík oh right. He's a trap. Lol.
@@adamhercik581 Its nice to see someone from same country.
Four is a random number dar as I know, it's just an example to show that one portal set must remain unchanged so that a single clear route remains intact
Ah, I see you are a man of culture too ;)
She was mentioned in the anime, at least in the dub.

Aureole Omega, though being part of the Pleiades, isn't a maid but a Priestess.
ua-cam.com/video/sHAn2MIsWrA/v-deo.html
Albedo all the way
She's probably weaker than Bone-Sama, that's for sure.
Smh..
Oh well, still interested in her.
Arguable, Ainz is a mage, whereas Aureole is a min-maxed commander type character, so in a one on one she'd probably lose, but she is strong enough to make it so that even Shizu was able to easily interrupt Ainz's spells despite Ainz being a level 100 character.
Oh wow again here you are
@@ahkilleuskosmos6836 agree
Something you forgot:
Aureole DID have a role in the game beyond being just an npc area guardian.
Thus, the correct way to say it when summarized would be:
Anyone trying to teleport without her permission (or without the Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown) in the dungeon became targeted automatically by Aureole, with her either cancelling the teleportation or worse, choosing a trap spot as the new teleportation endpoint.
It actually makes sense how the younger siblings are stronger. Because if you build something, you will find a better method for building later on and make something better than the previous one.
I wish they would show more of Oreo Omega and Rubedo.
Who’s Rubedo again?
Lexus Fox albedo's youngest sister (the strongest being in nazarik even more stronger than lord touch me)
Mmmmm Oreos...my favorite cookies
I remember back in season 2 episode 10 after Ains lets Tuare become a maid under Sebas, he removes Sebas as the team leader of the Pleiades, has Aureole Omega join the as the youngest member, and puts Yuri Alpha as deputy leader. I couldn't remember who she was and thought I missed someone earlier, didn't realize they were such a cool character. Great job with the awesome video as always, keep up the great work!
The Amount of depth the show has is amazing! Thank you for explaining and making the show much better!
It's really the light novels that has all the information. A really good read. I suggest looking into it if you're intrested in overlord
With this you know how much time Ainz Ooal Gown(the guild) really spent in making and adjusting the whole Nazarick.
I think in Igdrassil the Aureole Omega teleport tricks could have work like some sort of code kind of like "if:human ; move to:Z, if:Heteromorph ; move to:A" or something like that
Ainz ooal gown wasn't the only guild to have heteromorphs tho. So it would make it very easy for other heteromorphic guilds to raid it

Can't he also revive anyone or is that another spell?
@@franxx941 no idea. i just know about the movement restriction
15:24 So no one's gonna mention that smooth ass transition.

P.S. New merch looks awesome! More please!
Finally. i've been waiting too long for another overlord video
Given her apparent design as a combination Miko/Ideal Woman, there are some possibilities:
Why did you kill The Avengers
she was actually a support type mage
*cough* ARA-ARA
Sorry to rain on your parade but aureole is a commander type npc
Aureole is a supportive buffer. Even though she's among the lv 100 Npcs in Nazarick, she will have a hard time fighting her sisters even if she's 50 levels ahead of them. For a better image if you play league, imagine using a maxed lv Soraka to fight a lv 8 vayne.
As always a great well explained, thorough, well thought out video!!!
Aureole Omega was mentioned briefly in the oath Ainz made for Tuareninya in episode 10, season 2 @ 12:13-12:16.

best thing about this videos is the backround music.
1:53 Actually, as of Volume 13 she is officially introduced, she even participated in a group fight against Ainz
Jetstream Jaeger no she didn’t. She was mention yes, but participate directly no. She just buffed the doppels
Keep this up. I love watching your overlord vids.
I liked this video as soon as I got notified that its about Overlord! I'll watch this later! Thanks for the new content!

I have rewatched overlord at least 3 times and have never knew there was an entity in Nazarick who controlled the gates.
Plot twist: Sebas is Aureole
Oh god please stop
Sebas best girl
Imagining sebas in a maid outfit was way to hilarious than it should've
In regards to the theory posited at 9:30, Since the actual Pleiades were named the seven sisters, I'd have to guess that when they were created that Aureole was created as an official Pleiades Sister and not an unofficial one without the permission of the other six Pleiades Sister's creators, though this is of course merely an educated guess..
Perhaps she was created as a failsafe, in case the other NPCs got out of hand... Maybe she is actually divine in nature making her more powerful than the others and able to destroy them if she has to. Because of this reason she's usually kept away from the other Pleiades. That's my theory.
Omega also symbolizing "the end" could be another clue as to her nature
Hell yeah

she isn't going to be that relevant in the story yet. Nothing about her is talked about in the light novel, but the Web novel does talk quite alot about overlord's setting, 13 heroes, dragons, the war 300 years ago, and so on. The only problem there is whether the information from the web novel is canon to the light novel or not.

I hope we get to see Auriolle one day. In the anime all she got was a mention in season 2. And she sounds so interesting
She makes an one second appearance in Volume 8, when Nphirea and Enri are teleporting to Nazarick.
He already mentioned it in one of his overlord videos, and that's her first appearance in the light novel, not second. Btw, we actually get to see how she talks in one of the side story; saying Ara at the end of her sentences like Shalltear does.
@@Qopa One second appearance, 1s, not a 2nd. And I'm talking about having her presence, not just her voice (I read Pleiades Day).
@@Qopa Maybe I chose my words wrong since I wrote before going to sleep late, so:
She makes her first and only physical apperance (which was practically only one second) in Volume 8 epilogue.
Then we "hear" her talking in Pleaides Day, which occurs after Volume 10.
Aureole didn't appeared in Season 3, and she doesn't end her sentences with "ara", but she starts with it. And Shalltear doesn't end her sentences with "ara" too.

@@KhiemNguyen-ly1wz Ainz monologues that he doesn't want to actually demote Sebas, but that the other guardians were expecting him because "How dare Sebas speak against Ains." He just uses the opportunity to place Sebas in another position. Therefore, Sebas was actually demoted here, and his reassignment was a happy coincidence that worked well for our Skelly-Boi protagonist.
@@robertlox9638 Technically you can't really "demote" an NPC. They were designed to hold certain positions. They're literally made for it. Now maybe they can be reassign temporarily to other places now that they gain sentience in the New World. But in the event of an invasion of the tomb, they'd still have to go back to their respective positions. Else Demiurge would probably have petitioned Ainz to have Albedo removed as Overseer cause of her... behaviors. Sebas's position is to lead the Pleiades to defend the 9th floor in an invasion, and that's where he'll be by default. Especially since Aureole Omega can't exactly leave her position on the 8th floor. They're all design to do different jobs.
@@KhiemNguyen-ly1wz Good point, I didn't think of that. Thanks!
