Tried to go to your "The List" and for some reason wasn't able to access it SO, I'll leave a few suggestions here. 1) A Day in the life of ESL teachers in say Japan, Taiwan, Greece, Poland your choice. 2) A CPS worker-maybe a front line worker or a therapist. 3) A dog rescuer 4) Indigenous teachers/programs of Native Languages in the US 5) A contestant prepping for the Ms. Hula Aloha title @ the Merrie Monarch Hula competition Big Island Hawai'i or even of a male hula dancer 6) A Border guard on either side south or north 7) An ER nurse nearing retirement 8) A canine trainer thats prepping for the day when a dog gets to be w/its human be it a disable child/Vet or when the dog goes into retirement. 9) A sommelier or 10) of a restaurant in say New Orleans, Honolulu, Providence, El Paso , Montreal or Minneapolis. Do interdimensional travel. What about a culinary tour of inner Earth? Parallel universes are the newest destination and I can meet the gay you in one of them. Just don't go to destinations with monsters or islands with amazon women, not my thing. Your channel was always fun and interesting, destinations aren't interesting if the host isn't.

Hey Bud, I am one of your older viewers, 35 years ago I was doing what you were doing travelling, visiting different countries, eating different foods gaining friends along the way, only documenting my travels through pictures an word of mouth stories, well I am turning 60 next year and retiring, one place I have not traveled enough is here in the US, so that is my plan as for you I understand, with Covid and all the Travel restrictions it took allot out of you, time to regroup I agree with what you are doing and hope it helps you get back on track. I watch your content to see the places you travel, to check out how much it has changed since I have been there, I enjoy your stories and look forward to your future stories, Good Luck in your travels around this great world we are on. I think it's great that you found a new direction to explore your passions in storytelling and adventures. They are always very interesting and insightful. I think everyone will support you in whatever you do. It seems like its an awful lot to be doing all of these things at the same time. Funny thing, creating these multiple channels actually makes me feel less stressed because I'm not worried about how a particular video idea will fit into the "Travel Deeper" brand as much... with food for example, I always worried that I was getting away from my core message - now I can just have fun with it!
Loved your Croatia series. I have two close friends that are Croatian, I feel closer to them now. Plus I get Croatian food to try.
Both grew up in canada, parents moved here before they were born. I think they even learned a few things from your videos.

True Inspiration Gareth! I'm native to San Diego also. I owned a business in Pacific Beach for 11 years and found myself stuck because my true inspiration was to bring stories of different cultures. I'm from Afghanistan and the people and the cultures I had met in San Diego inspires me to see what the rest of the world is like. Coming across your videos allowed me to take the jump. I sold my business in May of 2022 and I've already traveled to a few countries to start documenting my experiences and sharing it with my viewers. Thank you!!! It was definitely not easy and I'm doing it at a point in my life where I have three kids. You think you have a budget and you definitely go over that budget fast. So now I'm finding ways to continue to allow the dream to stay alive. Looking forward to the day that I get a chance to work and learn from you if it's ever possible. We were thrilled to find Balboa Park just a short walk from our accommodation. What an incredible experience! Lovely city with good energy. I would happily live there. Thank you for your videos. Kind of cool today, for Texas, in what friends have called a sort of grown up treehouse. Makes poking at a screen something one might want to put off ‘til warmer. A lot of people seem to feel I’m “interesting”, enough so when up in town can’t take two steps without someone calling my name and wanting to talk. Gareth, this kind of authentic conversation... being genuinely vulnerable on a social media platflorm really takes courage and I applaud you for that.
I found your channel while researching for my trip to Croatia in Autumn 2023. The episodes where you and the gang went to Istria were some of my favourites and helped me finalize details of my first big trip out of country.
For myself and any other newbie travller who watches your videos, it is your candid interactions with the people of whichever country you are visiting that helps us feel like this world isn't quite as intimidating a place as it's sometimes made out to be and that there is still kindess the opportunity for new relationships outside our regular comfort zones. This next chapter of your channel - to me - seems to just be a more in depth continuation the very reason people subscribe in the first place. :)

Hi,I missed you and wondered what was going on. Happy Friday and Happy Holidays! I enjoyed you coming from Balboa park. I have fond memories of walking ,exploring ,and biking through it. I did go to a Holiday celebration at night .It was wonderful .I was thinking of visiting a old friend in la Mesa in this past November ,but my knees were really bothering me, so I canceled. I appreciate and can relate to what you're saying about time in a place. I too live in San Diego and like to have a "home base" (maybe SD is just too nice of a place to give up) I travel about 6 mos a year as a digital nomad (not content creator) and it seems that I need 2-3 mos in a place to feel it. I'm always struggling with the decision to keep or give up a home base (SD is an expensive place to leave vacant). I'm currently in Nairobi and after a month in, it feels like I'm just starting to figure it out, make friends, understand and appreciate our differences and our similarities...and now I'm off to Senegal (sigh). I couldn't give a shit about check marks on a tourist map. I just love "being" with the people of a place and that takes time. You filled the Bordain void for me, so thank you! Your splitting of channels makes perfect sense and I look forward to all of it. I hope our paths will cross in SD one day!

You have one of the greatest traveling Channel ever, I was super impressed with the Molokai video, after that I was hooked. Everything you state is spot on, I feel the same when I go back to my homeland Albania 🇦🇱 three weeks never seems enough especially when you family there. You need a minimum 2 to 5 month traveling experience.

I think your doing exactly what you came here to do! I read or listened to a message the other day that resonated with me - maybe it will for you too. We live in an imaginative world. Something to ponder. I'm leaping into my intended role too - the twist and turns it took to get to this point were interesting and shaped me into this unique being that now knows what my contribution to the world is. And it looks like you were made aware of yours too. 😊The world is a better place with you. As for your list. I didn't see Phoenix on the list and I really think you should consider it. This place in the summer is unreal. The heat is suffocating and the city only appears to be making things worse by reducing/restricting public restrooms and buildings. People here have no place to escape the heat. Business appear to be permitted to limit restroom access to paying customers only. My mind is boggled by this city's out-right lack of concern or care.

Best of luck in your new journey. I follow some people for a day in their job. My slogan was: "I am a chef for day...a captain of a luxury boat, etc. I did it for my personal interest, no videos or photos. It was a great experience. People are wonderful. If you find a way to show/describe one story through the eyes of 100 individual, it would be awesome.
I checked your list. It is good. The generic ones, such as Gaucho in Argentina are nice easy topics to show. Then when you move into the Homeless Man, or US Border Patrol, are more sensitive topics that must have some connection to the curation of your channel rather than the topic.
I wish you the best. I am sure you are going to produce great content. And remember, in our life, while we aspired for a final destination, we never stop even if we get to where we planned. Living is an exploration of this world that is always moving.

I found you because of your Egypt videos. Then the North Baja stuff. You nailed both. I know this because I lived in Egypt for a few months and I visit Northern Baja a lot. You definitely know how to capture a place and the people who live there. You called your Egypt series "superficial" because you were only there for several weeks. I disagree. It wasn't superficial because you take your talent for granted: most people wouldn't see or feel what you pulled off in two months, let alone the two to three weeks you were there.

Gotta say, when I saw your Egypt or Croatia content I had exactly that impression: duh, another American visiting the same old spots and calling them "secret/off the beaten path/or most beautiful". It was miles and miles away, from say your Russia episodes. So, very happy to hear, you are trying to remind your roots. Tho, looking at your plan..don't spread yourself too thinly!

I have watched a lot of travel videos when trying to plan my own trips and your videos are by far the most interesting and authentic travel videos that I've seen so far! Reason: you put accent on the interaction with the local people, experiencing the traditions and immersing into the local activities. This makes you unique. Keep doing what you're doing ! 😉

Great plan Gareth... I'm a big fan of your travel and food vlogs but this new series sounds great and something new to watch in YT community. Actually this new concept of yours has been in your vlogs for a longtime but yeah not that deeper, not expounded and only short exposures were shared.
