Gary's duet with blues legend BB King on 'The thrill is gone' is one of the best performances in history. Please add it to your to watch list.
Beat me to it. 👍
....and with albert king too!
Please check out tò "Red house" live and the wonderful "the messiah will come again", so intense......❤
original only ,with the green jacket ;-)
@@stefaniaorlando4047 oh yes, very intense..my very first girlfriend always liked to seduce me during this song. She said there's nothing bettter in this world than making love with a Gary Moore song playing in the background. She was so damn right.( R.I.P. Manuela).
And btw. i really like your name ☺
@@stefaniaorlando4047 .....oh yes, very intense..my very first girlfriend used to seduce me during this song, she said there's nothing better than making love with Gary Moore music in the background. And damn she was right (R.I.P Manuela). ..and btw. i really like your name ☺
Gary was one of the best guitarists ever. Thanks for the music and inspiration Gary.
GM will ALWAYS be a top 3 guitarist.
GM 'best guitarists' - Yawn.
Gary Moore - Parisienne Walkways - Live
Definitely this.
Most definitely this!!!! But the version of his last performance of parisienne walkways
Live at Montreux specifically.
@@boogaloobaloo yep that's the best version.
@@danielwilliams6952 Absolutely
Stacey, Gary Moore was one of the greatest guitarists in rock (and blues) history. RIP Gary.
Phil Lynott and Gary Moore, what a duo!
Gary Moore. Still got the Blues, Parisenne Walkways, The Messiah Will Come Again, The Loner...
Messiah will come again live montreaux 90 or the loner live from Sweden 87 they are soooo good. He was the best ever..
@@starkmoore2684 Nailed it. Messiah Will Come Again live in Montreux 90 is easily in the top 3 greatest
guitar performances ever.
@@32a34aoh Yeah there are also parisienne walkways live from Royal Albert Hall 92 and seperate ways live london 92.. He could play every genre and had a perfect voice...
Messiah at Montreux was/is INCREDIBLE!!!!
@@guitarjunkie7124 one of the things that made the messiah will come again so good was also he used the famous "greeny" and that goldtop had the most beautiful tone...
RIP Gary❤
"The Messiah Will Come Again" for your next Gary reaction hands down Stace.... it is a masterclass to experience ❤❤❤❤
STACEY !!! Make sure you react to the "Live in Montreux 1990" video 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I second that opinion!!! I've always considered SRV to be the best, but after seeing that performance, I had to rethink my opinion. Now I'm not so sure Stevie was or is best. Gary Moore is definitely in that for me now
I heartily recommend it too but it really needs to be the live in Montreux 1990 video.
@@LordRahl1975 OH GAWD YES THANK YOU FOR THE CLARIFICATION !!!! EDITING NOW 😂😂
@toddbarton7229 I go back and forth myself - they are both otherworldly "conduits" between what brings us joy in music beyond just being guitar players - it is just the instrument they choose to express their magic with ❤❤
And that song immediately leads into of course 'Roy Buchanan', world's most unknown underrated player. Gary absolutely learned from listening to Roy (and Green and Gallagher).
Magical! 'The Messiah will come again' must be next on your Gary Moore list.
Yes !!
Ab so friggin lutely
@@AnthonyKellett I always thought the guitar solo from pulse comfortably nubm was the greatest ever until I heard Gary's version of the Messiah will come again
@@robertkern9911 Two completely different solos and players i also love both solos
One of the best guitarists ever….Ireland’s gift to the music world, along with Rory Gallagher. RIP both of them
“The Messiah will Come Again “ needs to be your next stop.
INDEED!!!
Yes. Epic live.
@@billc.5861 That one is insane. One of the greatest guitar playing displays ever.
@andreasC81. You know that not an unreasonable statement , his guitar player on that song is crazy good.
Agreed. Most passion you would see in a guitar player. Epitome of guitar mastery
Gary Moore went from rock star (Thin Lizzy) to legendary blues guitarist.
aha
I saw Thin Lizzy in 1977 when Gary Moore was still in the band & Huey Lewis played harmonica!
Saw thin Lizzy in the 70s when Gary was in the band bloody awsome.... RIP Gary gone way to soon.
Before Thin lizzy he already was in 'Skid row'.
@@PainInTheS yes he was i forgot that, the original Skid row in Ireland and not to be confused with the American skid row of cause.
This is one of those songs that you only need to hear once and it stays with you forever. Stacey, these are the song types that have substance and inspire the human spirit.
You've just listened to one of the greatest guitar players of his age . RIP Gary...
Gary was one of the finest guitarists who ever lived. Not to mention a great singer. Gone to soon😢
One of the best guitar players I've ever seen live. He is amazing.
I've heard and watched this song probably 200 times, and it never ceases to bring me to tears. No one makes a guitar weep like Gary Moore.
Words!
Parisienne Walkways
Song by Gary Moore is a classic
A truly beautiful blues ballad. I love the way the song ends on the full version with the wailing guitar ...
He is highly underrated ! One of the best guitarists around and he is hardly spoken of.
Gary Moore was a master of getting a guitar to cry. (RIP)
One of the greatest guitarists of all time. It isn't fair that he can also sing. RIP Gary you are missed
in hungary, they called him the lord of the strings. nobody plays guitar like he did, very special.
At the Stratocaster 50th anniversary concert in London he did a version of Red House (a Jimi Hendrix song) that blew the roof off. It's worth watching...and a lot of it is improvised, and he had a sore hand.
The Blues for Jimi version is just as good
Man, nobody could convey emotion through the guitar like Gary. He is missed!
RIP Gary Moore a true legend. His lyrics and guitar playing make you feel what the song is about or you may have felt like that scream crying guitar solo from heartbreak. Your reaction when the second solo started is what it’s all about. You said OH Baby it’s sad but sexy at the same time.❤🌹🎸🎤
Saw Gary Moore live twice and he was incredible. My favorite guitarist.
Same here first time 1989 when he said it would be the last time he'd ever play hardrock a promise he kept for about 10 years! Second time 1990 when he played blues.
First time I heard this was driving down the road and it shook me to the point I had to pull over and reset.
First time I heard this guitar solo bring me to tears❤ great reaction❤
Gary Moore is one of the greatest guitar players of all time imo, If you like the solo on this one then you will be blown away by his solo on Parsienne Walkways Live at Montreux its a whole other level.
@@davej2300 you should see the live version from Royal Albert Hall 92 the sound is epic..
@@starkmoore2684 Thanks id forgotten about that one ive watched most of his performances on line and on dvd too, The 2010 Montreux one is another good one to watch too he does not hold the note quite as long as he did in the 99 one or the Royal Albert hall one but its still a magnificent performance.
@@davej2300 Yeah you right, the 2010 is good, Im just not a fan of the sound he uses, its too metallic but thats just me🙂
@@starkmoore2684 Thats the thing about music its so subjective, I showed my friend David Gilmour comfortably Numb Solo live at Pulse and his reaction was whats so special about that left me open mouthed lol, I think its a good thing though that any perforformance from any artist affects us all in different ways.
@@davej2300 exactly and David is also one of my favorites🙂👍
Gary is a Mount Rushmore guitarist for me. Chops and shred for days, combined with incredible soul, vibrato and a tone to die for.
One of the greatest Les Paul players of all time. He really felt and understood that guitar
R.I.P Gary. I'm so glad folks are starting to realize what an amazing musician he is.
Hi beautiful Stacey. I was lucky enough to see Queen live at Milton Keynes in 1982. Along with Joan Jet was Gary Moore as part of the support line up for the show. Gary was incredible and is sadly missed. Thank you again Stacey for a brilliant reaction ❤❤
What a freaking bill that must have been. We were so lucky back in the day!
Parisienne Walkways is a must.
Still living that song, for over 50 years now😢
One of the very best. RIP Gary.
The Messiah will come again Live .One of the best guitar solos ever...👌
Good luck from Italy 🇮🇹
If you can take emotion even rawer than here, Gary and Phil Lynott's 1985 Still in Love with You, which is on UA-cam, has it all. Phil's vocals are so clearly deeply felt, and he passed away just a few months later. Gary unleashed two solos, the first reflective and haunting, the second an outpouring of tears into the fade. It's mind-mangling, to be honest.
Bonjour Stacey 🥰 🥰😘!!! I so like Still got the blues, it's a piece that I've been studying for a long time 🎸🎸🎸 long live guitar, thank you for this nice reaction!!! ❤️❤️❤️
RIP Gary Moore.
He was one of the greatest.
This song has one of the best licks (a lick is a repeatable patch of notes) in rock and was one of the first that I had to learn.
He was also in one of the best band's called Thin Lizzy.
Great reaction 👏
Greetings and Love from Germany again 💚. Great reaction video like always, my dear. I was lucky to expirience Gary's magical guitar skills once live on stage in 1989 here in Cologne, Germany. It was a lifechanging evening for me, an out of my body expirience, serious. Thanks for your reaction and i hope you take a few dives into his catalog. Live performences prefer...like "Parisienne Walkways"....have a peaceful day & stay safe 🤘 🌈
There was just no-one who could hold a sustain like Gary Moore. Fantastic guitarist. I live in NI and to be brutally honest, I don't think he's had enough love over the years from the place he was born - when people talk about Northern Ireland musicians past and present, you hear the same names over and over (Undertones, Van Morrison, Snow patrol, etc) and I don't often see his name in there. So it was inspiring recently to hear that there are initial plans afoot to erect a statue in his honour in Belfast.
Asides from The Messiah will Come Again and Parisienne Walkways, which get a lot of reactions on YT, another great track he sung is "That Kind of Woman" (written by George Harrison). It's very catchy and upbeat and probably my favourite of his.
I was very fortunate to catch Gary Moore live in 1998, in Glasgow Barrowlands. I was stood about 15ft from a full Marshall stack, and I think to this very day, my hearing is yet to recover. It was totally worth it though. He was a very unique artist, an extremely talented guitar player and a great songwriter. This is one of his best, but there are others that you should consider checking out Stacey. Gone too soon, unfortunately, may he rest in peace. Thanks for this reaction.
Gary Moore Empty Rooms live from Stockholm 1987
😊 Gary was a underrated guitar player. It's sad this talent goes on without being appreciated.
Seen Gary many times over the years, what an absolute legend. RIP Gary.
Such beautiful guitar playing ❤️
I love this channel❤. You are worth every moment- funny, excited, emotional… and your sighs, sounds and delight is obvious! You are a special woman, Stacey!
The very best player/singer of the blues from the UK. Sadly he died Feb 2011 whilst on holiday in Spain from a heart attack. Peter Green ( ex Fleetwood Mac ) gave Gary his guitar. Saw him twice, so memorable, never forgotten. You need to listen to his album Blues for Greeny to get the true mastery of his blues guitar playing. I'm now 81, still listen to his soulful sound.
Thank you beautiful for the reaction ❤ sending you big hugs 🤗🤗
I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know is one of his most emotional performances with a heart-wrenching guitar solo, definitely one to consider from the legendary guitarist.
Yes!!!! Not enough people know about that wonderful cover of Donny Hathaway's classic song....
haven't listen to this in decades. Classic.
Gary was the master of sustain and raw live emotion.
Hi Stacey, also check out "Parisienne Walkways" live at Ulster Hall in Belfast 1984. This song is written by Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy) and Gary Moore. Both are sadly deceased but here they perform the song together, which is a sweet treat. May they both rest in peace.
Gary is my absolute favorite guitarist. So much passion. I actually had a brief FaceBook chat with him before he passed.
the closing part is the wry bittersweet smile you give yourself when that old emotional journey crosses your memory
You always know Gary Moore from his tone. So clean, so much sustain. He was a savage guitarist, hugely rated by other guitarists, not well enough to the general public. A vastly underrated singer as well. Go down this rabbit-hole because he was brilliant.
Also, please try Parisienne Walkways. Another amazing song, perfect for romantic slow dancing.
Gary Moore's career was amazing. I saw Gary's concert a couple of months before he passed away and I'm so happy to have seen him live at least once!
Gary is actually one of my influences as a guitar player, love his sound and style and this is my favorite of his songs
From Algeria, Mister Gary is one of the greatest guitar player ever walked in the earth
He loved to play with the crowd, pausing before one of famous long notes etc. I spent a lot of my childhood in the car and my parents played Gary Moore a LOT during those long car journeys, I was lucky enough to see him live (it was one of his last performances before he died). If you love his guitar solos then I'd recommend: "The Loner (live at Hammersmith)", it's my favourite song of his and I've heard pretty much every version of it and THAT'S the best one (don't think there's video of it though, just audio)
NIce reaction. One of the greats gone way too young, RIP Mr. Moore.
So characteristic of the rainy-blues atmospheric genre of music... I love it
Hi Stacey, yes one of the many great guitarists that played in one of my favourite live bands Thin LIzzy ( another rabbit hole for you! ). As always keep on rockin' beautiful lady!
Thanks for sharing this amazing video and performance! Gary is one of the great guitarists we have been blessed with. Very melodic solo. Great reaction, Stacey!! That's the blues!!! ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
You said it Stacey he does make the guitar sing 🎸 Gary takes a simple riff and makes it soar during his solos. The band is tight allowing him to take it wherever he feels. I'm glad you got to experience this song and great performance 😊
RIP Gary you were a guitar God who never got the recognition! AMAZING
Very underrated guitarist by many, RIP Gary. Privileged to have come to visit you at your grave and be so close to a legend
Gary Moore was a Northern Irish blues, blues rock and hard rock guitarist, composer and singer. There is an album by Gary where he played Celtic Rock. I would highly recommend Over the Hills and Far Away. You can see Gary, how fast he plays the guitar. I saw Gary Live three times and each time it was a great concert. Gary is one of the best guitarists in UK history.
Over The Hills And Far Away was a great song from the Wild Frontier album
A great great loss when Gary passed away some years ago now, but we have musical videos like this to keep his magic alive.
One of the best guitarists ever. And underrated. Greetings from Norway. 😀
Gary Moore... When you watch his concerts, look at his face during the solo. He literally tells us (his?) life story through this guitar solo, talks to us through the guitar, tears his soul and gives it to the audience... Maybe that's why he left us so early, because he relived almost every song every time he performed it.
And one more thing. A little fact: Gary was left-handed by nature, but as a child he learned to play the right-handed guitar. And he became a great guitarist.
One of the very best blues guitarists.
II have seen Gary Moore 4 times live and he was mindblowing 💗
you're right Stacy, this melody stays in my heart forever
“OVER THE HILLS AND FAR AWAY “ I s one of Gary’s finest moments!!!
Stacey, This is what's missing from a lot of music now. Masterful musicians who actually play instruments. Computers and digital programs will never replace the spontaneous human element that makes you feel the music. Always love seeing you enjoy the music just like we did hearing it for the first time!
"I wonder if there's a guitar solo" - This is Gary Moore there's always a guitar solo. One of the most amazing blues guitarists of all time, taken from us far too early. His cover of Red House is one of my favourites of all time. Also Parisienne Walkways Live. Too many great songs to list them all.
Gary Moore is one of the greatest guitarists that ever played, a complete natural, very much missed ❤❤
One of my favorite songs ever. From the first note, it captivates you.
He is among the top positions of every best-guitarist list - and if he isn't, he should be
He spanned from blues based hard rock, scratched at metal during the 80s hair band time, and returned to pure blues
There are a few guitarists who can not only play music, but transmit emotion with the instrument. Gary Moore, Derek Trucks, Joe Bonamassa and David Gilmour are some of my favorites. Plus, this is a great freaking song.
You *need* to hear the 1990 live performance at the Hammersmith Odeon.
IMO, the greatest live version ever. Gary died on Feb 6, 2011 and leaves a legacy that is unmatched. Search: "Gary Moore - Still Got The Blues (Live at Hammersmith Odeon) [HD]"
Pure. Raw. Passion.
And don't miss "The Messiah Will Come Again" You will be amazed.
The man was alone at the top, (again, IMO...)
That music was coming from inside him somewhere. All the greats seem to have that in them. It's a gift from god.
So happy you did this reaction video on Gary Moore. He's my favorite guitarist!
Gary and playing Peter Green greeney guitar!!!!!! legendary
Stacey you absolutely have to listen to The Loner, live in Stockholm, you will never listen to guitar playing the same again!
Went to see him live not long before he died, fantastic performance. RIP Gary.
Oh Stacey - thanks so much bringing back all theses memories, when i was young. That's why i love your channel and also seing young people exploring the jewels of former times. So emotional and so wonderful.
This is a great song to slow dance to with that special someone in your life.
great to see people finding Gary Moore in 2025 - was lucky to hear/see him at the Hammersmith Odeon 1983 🙂
The Loner - Gary Moore 1987 Live
Love watching Gary play, you can see each note on his face.
My favourite song of his is “Separate Ways “ extended intro version from London 1992. So emotional.
Gary Moore with Thin Lizzy!
" Do anything you want"
One of the greatest guitarists
King of the Blues and Walking by myself are a must. I've got to see a lot of great artists but my one regret was I never got to see Gary live. R.I.P Gary Moore
My favourite guitarist a lot of great guitarists around but Gary had a way of making you not just listen to music but feel his music through the guitar and wasn't limited to one style or guitar there was no guitar he couldn't play.
Hi Stacey greetings from The UK 🇬🇧 Gary Moore was a truly great rock guitarist who sadly passed away and you should really check out his song " PARISIENNE WALKWAYS" the live version as its such a great song and you will love it.
Gary wore his heart on his sleeve - and in his guitar.
Good morning young lady, here once again loving your video, thanks once again, great choice.
@ thanks so much, just keep up the amazing job, the means a los to me, young lady! Thank you!
The first i did when i open this video is put this into my favourites! Yes! i was on his concert 21 october 2010. One of his last concert... That was amazing...
The concert took place in a sports arena and seating was arranged for people opposite the stage. Although they usually organize standing places like at all rock concerts and so on. Other people took places on the arena around. In general, at some point I saw that people began to jump over the railings in the stands from almost a three-meter height and run towards the stage. Without thinking for a second I jumped and ran, the security could not do anything when the crowd became too large. I was right in front of him. I didn’t have a single photo left from there, but it was as if my brain was taking screenshots of my eyes. I still remember every detail clearly. Since then, I took off and began to travel for nore concerts, met and talked with rock legends, flew to the States from the Russian Far East and attended a McCartney concert and much more... Thanks for the reaction, Stacey. RIP, Gary :(
