    Guitar is the driving force behind MOST blues music. Gary was a guitar God. If you ever watch him play live, he plays many with his 1st and 2nd finger. he can do more with 2 fingers than most with 5. Rest in peace to a legend.

      i wanted to get in to their reactions, but brad is just too ignorant on most any music, granted its new to him, but doing what they are doing they should have some general knowledge on various types and eras of music. final straw was him saying he didnt realize there was guitar playing in blues. guess he will make his money off this with his partners cute reactions...

    • @Speckhuggarn
      @Speckhuggarn 2 роки тому +4

      @@robertlavorna2968 That's not being ignorant, that's unknowing. Knowing that guitar is very crucial and essential to blues does seem common knowledge, but not important knowledge that you need in your life. Also, not everyone has the same interests in life, and sometimes you don't pick on something that is very common knowledge, and clearly Brad doesn't have any strong interest in music more than just enjoying it, and he's definitely not alone in the world. I even think some people watching reactions could be interested in seeing a person go from no knowledge to learn about things. But all in all, how can you get angry at someone not knowing something?

    • @robertlavorna2968
      @robertlavorna2968 2 роки тому +3

      @@Speckhuggarn not angry, not knowing is ignorance, its not being detrimental to him, theres a big difference in calling someone stupid and someone ignorant. ignorant isa a lack of knowledge, i just think if you are doing what they do, they would take some time to gain a bit of knowledge of the the different eras of music. i really just watched cause i love the song, and was curious as there are other very young people i enjoy learning and appreciating the past.

    His guitar was CRYING... the blues is IT for me! I'm 62 years old, and I've been listening to blues artists since I was a little girl. Duane Allman's "Please Be With Me" is one of the finest guitar and vocal pieces you'll ever hear...."I sit here lying in my bed, wondering what it was I said that made me change so suddenly, from looking out to being free. And of all the better things I've heard, loving you has made the words and all the rest seem so absurd, but in the end it all comes out, I'm sure. So won't you please read my signs, be a gypsy. And tell me what it is I find deep within me. And because you can't read my mind, please be with me..." Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Life Without You" is another. Otis Rush's "A Fool For You" shows off his incredible gospel voice. Buddy Guy's "Damn Right I Got The Blues" is another. I can lead you guys down a very deep rabbit hole if you'll let me.

    Lex, that quality of "taking his time over every note" that you mentioned at the end is generally refereed to as 'tone'. It's not as flashy as speed, but good tone is really a hallmark of the best guitar players. It's also hard to teach, since it's much more matter of feeling than technique. If you want to hear guitarists with beautiful tone, try Mark Knopfler (solo or with Dire Straits) or Dave Gilmore of Pink Flloyd.

    Gary was a once in a lifetime talent, from his days with Thin Lizzy to his early solo rock career. One of those songs was Wishing Well.
    And his later years of blues is perfect.

    I been a serious guitarist for over 50 years... Made good money doin' it in the '80's and '90's...
    Many of us players moved Gary Moore into the #1 spot of living guitar players in this genre when SRV passed...
    There is one thing though, that Moore always did better than anyone, including SRV... He was the World Master of bending strings...
    String bending is kinda the foundation of playing any kind of Blues, Rock, Country guitar....
    And Gary Moore was FLAWLESS... Watch all the 'Live' performances you can find, and more importantly listen to them...
    Never a weak, over over-bend... The timing on holding his bends... The 'vibrato' or 'wavering' in his bends... Was absolutely perfect...
    R.I.P. Gary... And Thanks for the music....
    Wade Patrick

    Yeeesssss! Can't believe you've just reviewed Gary Moore!! One of the greatest guitarists of All time!! He was such an underrated VIRTUOSO GUITARIST!!! COULD PLAY ALL GENRE'S!! HE Was the Guitarist in Thin Lizzy in the 70s!
    You should listen to Gary Moore's "Parisienne Walkways"! Amazing Lyrics and even better guitar than this has one of the most legendary Blues Guitar solos of all time in the middle! 👍🎸😎
    There's also a great live Blues Performance of Garry Moore and (an Old) 'Albert King' live in concert! Great performance aswell old passing the torch so to speak..(given Stevie Ray Vaughan died) Gary Moore was the next young guitarist of that age and similar ability all be it a different style but all the same VIRTUOSO!!
    Ps. I had a feeling Brad would love the Blues!!
    Cheers from London England 👍❤️🎸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿😎

    Interesting that you guys would feature this epic Irishman today of all days. Gary Moore is comparable to none when making his guitar cry in this song. Especially at the end when he squeezes every last tear out of it. Watching him play live is even MORE dramatic and emotional. Such a loss when he passed away, but he left such an indelible mark on music in general, and I for one, am lucky to have experienced it.

    I agree with some comments below saying you must see live version of "Messiah will come again". In that performance Gary was at his peek with his skill. The way guitar expressing emotions is out of this world, in my humble opinion that is the most complete guitar playing seen live. There is shredding, whaling, harmonies and emotions coming in waves thru all the song. That was the piece of music which made me look in a different way some guitarist, otherwise Gods of guitar, ( Gilmour, Page, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Clapton, etc.)

    Brad and Lex, you guys need to go on a blues pilgrimage to Beale Street in Memphis. I lived outside Memphis for a year and I was there at least every other weekend enjoying some of the best music ever made. Doing a vlog of that trip would be epic to say the least. Plus that Memphis BBQ is no joke.

    For pure guitar playing watch Gary perform The Messiah Will Come Again, live at Montreux. This track, Still Got The Blues, was put down live in the studio, and it took just one take. A few background overdubs in the mix, but all the guitars were just Gary in full flow. Enjoy his musical journey. Gary and Scott Gorham playing Thin Lizzy's 'Black Rose' is an amazing live performance, live in Dublin. He was a phenomenal rock guitarist too, along with many other styles. I was lucky enough to see him many, many times over the years, starting with his tour with Greg Lake back in the early 80's. Love your channel guys.
