“A little bit of salt.” COME AGAIN??? That was like a week’s allowance worth!!!🤣🤣
The beef blend he used was higher in fat, about 75/25 ratio so it needed more salt because fat neutralizes salt
@@anthonywestmoreland7707 ~ gotcha....it just sounded funny, all the times he said “just a little bit of salt.”
@@anthonywestmoreland7707 how does it work? where does the salt go?
It looked like kosher salt or some other kind of flakey salt. Much less sodium than table salt. But I also did think it looked like more than a little.
@@Morganaplays i never toom food science class cause that's boring, but ik it has to do with the chemicals that make things acidic neutralizing sodium, so you need larger amounts to cut through
just a little bit of salt has the same effect as when gordon ramsay says just a touch of olive oil
i was searching in the comments to see if anyone commented about the “little bit” of salt
@@sirineawarkeh2641 same

@@sirineawarkeh2641 saaammmmmeee
@Lu Cheng ye sit si it used by most “professionals” because you can use less but still have the same amount of flavor without the heart attack
As someone who lived next door to someone in college that decided it was a great idea to make full on steaks in their dorm, do not use mini grills or anything that can produce smoke in a dorm or hotel room....the fire alarm will go off, and it can trigger the sprinklers. Fun times!
My country dorms don't have fire alarms.. so I'm tension free whenever I cook
I-
Oooof
You guys have fire alarms?
@@user-tq5cm8vr7r Yes. Every floor, every building. Pretty sure this is code, but maybe not where you live.
Damn u can only so much in a dorm 😭
The hamilton beach grill is great for people in apartments. I bought a previous version for like 49.99 and it has lived outside on my balcony for almost 3 years and is still kicking. For people in apartments with poor ventilation that thing is a 6/5 for me.
yeah, that thing actually looked like a proper grill, and it made those burgers beautifully
I have that grill too and it's amazing
Good to know b/c I’d thought a bought getting this for my son who’s away at college/university....I’m thinking he’d love it!!
"It also comes with these nifty, little, pre-cut parchment squares..."
*holds up a circle*
I laughed at that too!!🤣🤣🤣
was looking for this comment and you delivered
I made a comment similar to this 😂
I didn't even realize that until I was watching *face palm*
I like this dude, can you make this a regular series?
Yes we need more of him
He have made serveral of this videos, in case you didn’t know.
He was on top chef
Yeah mustached joe from top chef
Do you like joe?
Lmao don’t use the little burger maker in a hotel room. You’ll set the smoke alarm off and the entire hotel will despise you 😅
Same with a dorm
Open the window?
@@justsomeonewholiketoreply9737 I mean it won't help that much
@@justsomeonewholiketoreply9737 most hotels have windows that not fully open so it won't help
Shower cap over smoke detector.
“Parchment squares”
Parchment: is a circle
I think the mini grill deserve at least 4 stars. It does its job, it is not expensive, it is compact (so it is useful where it is intended to be used, like a dorm).
If u want to get wet, sure.. That mini grill will trigger the smoke alarm for sure.
its all just for fun
@@ChefJoeSasto No it is not. It is life or death matter :P
@@bhimawaskita2540 No it won't. I have that grill and have used it multiple times with no issues.
@@Wildhorn666 You're using it wrong if it's even remotely dangerous.
He's displaying these burger items but I can't even focus because I'm straight up dying over those plants 😍😍 absolutely stunning.
proud plant parent over here!
I think the grinder is the only gadget there worth buying.
I'd be tempted by the mini grill, but you're right: my small cast iron pan would do better and be more useful.
I feel thats more of a dorm gadget in general (the minigrill) the grinder seems like a good tool if you dont own a kitchenaid to which you can attach different tools
agreed
I have one of those patty stampers and they do work great if you aren't good at making even burgers yourself, these will cook even throughout and wont bulge up in the center :D. Also using saranwrap if those circle ones are out works fine too.
I always press my thumb in the center of hand made patties. But the ridges on the press work just as good I am sure.
i thought that that mini stove was cute 🤗😅😅
@Paperyhelloo YES I was about to say
@Paperyhelloo It's made by the same people. I have their waffle maker, griddle, and grill.
I bought the little hamburger mold on sale for under $10. It does a great job, especially if you want to do a bunch of burgers and freeze them.
Looks so tasty😍
Wow, your here! My mum loves your channel
The name is literaly tasty
@@sahasralol69 Many thanks!😍
@@CookiesInspiration :D!! No problem.
@@CookiesInspiration oh wow your channel is colorful literally
I just ordered a meat grinder attachment for our Kitchenaid just for this purpose. I can't wait to try the meat blend to see how much of a difference.
?
its 2am and i'm watching this urgghhh!
im hungry rn :(
Puts burger in burger securer, burger: rolls down and bids goodbye
killed me
Breakfast gadgets next please!!
Omg this needs to be a series so helpful when wanting to buy new gadgets for the kitchen
huh, I think I would have given the patty party a higher rating honestly. I mean you can reuse it, you make several burgers at once, they pop out easily without using any parchment or anything and it looks easy to wash. A three at least for all those.
Are we not going to talk about this man's mustache like the little curls at the ends are *chef's kiss*
Honestly the best thing was the parchment paper. 😂😂
Parchment squares * they are circles
That tiny burger grill is an amazing product..!!
4:08 yes my favorite square
I loved seeing joe do this
Thank you for keeping it nice and simple and still fun
I like people when they cooking something amazing and amazing idea
This needs to be a series
i would love to see more of these videos i wanna see someone else from tasty try other amazon gadgets too or wish gadgets.
Agreed!
Why not the same witty smart chef 👨🍳 I Loved his vibe
Haha 😆 very entertaining! Love seeing new gadgets’ functionality 👍🏻 Thanks
This was fun to watch and helpful!
Like how enthusiastic this chef is!
Did anyone figure out the difference between top and bottom of patty? I didn't think it mattered lol
I’m dying to know
Maybe the ridge or "lip" that gets made on top from the small space between the "holder" and "stamper" part? I would call that the top. And that lip makes it so your burger doesn't bulge as much and come out like a round meatball (it's why people just dent the middle when hand making).
Or maybe he was just joking?
Brilliant kitchen stuff. Great job
Yes 👍🏻 awesome to see
Man, Joe has this husbando energy that distracts me :(
we use the mini grill to toast individual bagels, or to make nice sunny side up eggs for breakfast sandwiches.
they get grill marks on top but the yolk is perfect.
also works nice for those grilled cheese "shells" if someone's on a keto diet.
I need to get some of these burger gadgets for myself! Great video!
I Love Joe!!!
He's awesome!!
Bread making gadgets would be really cool
Such cool gadgets! Love it!
I used a similar thing to the small grill in my dorm... Works great, easy to clean, doesn't take to much place and can be used to make other things.
Too* much space. :-P
‘Just a little bit of salt’ Proceeds to put all the salt in the ocean on
Kosher salt is less salty than table salt. If he used table salt then yes that would have been a ridiculous amount
@@balentay totally covering the burger, so that it is white, is normal?
@@RabidWolf1966 Well since kosher salt has bigger crystals and is, per my last reply, less salty yes
I dont think its kosher salt im pretty sure what he's using it flake salt or "finishing salt" which is much less salty than both and has huge flakes compared to the small crystals
I loooove my dash grill. It's only me so it's very convenient... Great reviews
My husband bought the metal burger shaper. He loves it! Super easy
When I worked in a burger joint, we actually used the butter wheel coming closing time or when the machine we use to butter and toast the buns was broken.
I feel like you should be given the price first, because it would be funnier when you had to deal with the burger holders knowing what a rip off they were
I like not knowing until the end
I’m actually loving that tiny burger grill. I’m an empty nester, so I rarely make myself a burger. I don’t like to drag out my large indoor grill and I don’t like making burgers in a frying pan. This little gadget would be perfect and I could use it to make other grilled sandwiches. Definitely the perfect size grill for one person and it doesn’t take up much space at all. ✌🏻🥰😊
That's why I got one (along with their mini waffle maker and mini griddle). I am single and cook only for myself, so it's nice having something that takes up little space and makes perfect single serving burgers.
Cool seeing ROUND parchment SQUARES...
Very fun video. Totally natural and spontaneous.
4:10 wow such nice parchment circ- squares
it also comes with these pre-cut parchment squares.
It a CIRCLE
the butter wheel looks very good
Burger video- first thing I think: 'woah, love these plants!!' 😍😍💚💚🌿🌱☘
This video is actually pretty nifty! :) thanks
I love this guy ❤
Those gadgets are what I needed too, I love to cooking, the burgers are looking great and yummy. That would be wonderful meal.
Great review...very indepth! This was like reading the manual but more fun :) Do people even read manuals anymore though...lol. Great job on your video :)
I really enjoyed this video. I love burgers.
Butter wheels are probably better for larger kitchens than the average home cook. I know I used to work in my college dining hall and we used them, especially for buttering bread for grilled cheese.
The mini grill seems really useful if you travel and want something to do hot sandwiches
Amazing!!
“The top gets hotter than the bottom”... 🤔😉😇
I found it amusing that he HELD the bun to the top plate instead of just placing it on top of the one on the bottom plate & closing the lid!!🤣🤣
@@oncnurse5 Would have squished the buns, and the steam rising from the bottom one would have made it mushy.

4:09 ah yes some nice squares
Yep!
These videos make me so hungry
Me too - eating too much already 😂
Fun, good energy, pizza or burrito gadgets next please!
Im impressed by the patty maker, the one you pressed into a circle, that is so perfect
If you want to make a large amount of patty, it kinda get tiring to shape one by one, I also didn't like to get my hand dirty, if I can I will avoid it.
I would definitely buy that
Toaster gadgets, like donut toaster, grilled cheese toaster etc
The butter thing 5???
Nooo way!
You are suppose to do a double grind and I mix chuck, short rib and brisket! When you double grind it. It presses them smother and better helping them to stay together better when you don't have time to handle them so slow and your pumping burgers or and flipping them
Excellent video dear friend! Keep up the amazing work! Thanks for sharing!🙏🏼
Feeling hungry.....want to eat these tasty burger 🍔🍔
Tasty always make tasty things 😋
I love his moustache
Joe Sasto is Sasssy ... I enjoyed his wit n charm
Nice video
To be honest I didn't even focus on the video I was concentrated on his mustache.. I love it 😅 😂😂
Aww man it's 2 am and I'm watching this now
Epicurious and Tasty Should collab for this series
3:59 when my dad says if I wanna hear a joke
Ces burgers ont l'air d'être délicieux.
The burger holder is actually to stop the filling from spilling out the bottom of the burger as you eat. We have disposable cardboard ones here in New Zealand at one of the burger restaurants. They work pretty well. I wouldn't necessarily purchase this particular holder myself as a little mess doesn't really phase me. Licking your fingers is part of the experience of burger eating hahaha
Yum 😋
I love the mustache he rocks it
I litterally have the same cooker thing but mine is like a flat griddle and we use it for pancakes
I have a similar patty shaper but i only use the top oart to smash my burgers
you guys should make a video where you try to only cook with gadgets
This guy was on Chopped and won the episode.
He made a better looking burger with gimmicky products than I can make with regular kitchen appliances.
What sauce is the you used on your burger it looks so good 😍
Yay Mario is back 😅🤣😂
Great video!
i work at burger fi and we use the butter roller so
Not a burger expert by any means, but I believe that the way to distinguish the top of a patty from the bottom is to look which side is dented.
The top should have some sort of concave shape from the utensil that was used from smashing it into form, while the bottom always stays flat because of surface.
A cool video idea would be if you would gather all or most of the tasty producers and do a Price Is Right spin off but to guess different kitchen gadgets and then if the contestants get it WRONG, then they would have to cook a meal with them in a certain time limit. And there would be a cash prize at the end. Your welcome for your next best show, Tasty😂
me starting the video thinking to myself "his mustache is amazing"
"Da faq!? is someone grilling in the next room over?" hahahahahaha
Love these product testing videos! I'd watch you test anything.
As someone who owns the Hamilton grill, it actually does a pretty good job searing if you give it some time however, once the grease dries on the grill and you try to cook more meat on it, it won't do as good a job so if you're only gonna cook a few burgers like max 4 or maybe even 6 it's good but anymore than that won't give you solid searing marks.
The top by of the burger has a more aggressive sear because it’s cooked longer on the first side
