Shar: In darkness all things will be known.
    Gopher: Hmm....
    Shar: I love darkness.
Gopher: What are these clues trying to tell me....
    Shar: DARK.
    Gopher: Could really mean anything....
    xD

I do not remember saying that. Can you time stamp it for me? In fact, to be honest, I must have been way too tired because I seem to remember knowing we had to look in the dark from pretty much the start of that 'puzzle'. I must be mis-remembering.

@@GophersVids You're being made fun of, congrats :-)) Your problems were light mechanics and not thinking about lanterns as interactable objects. As soon as you thought of targeting it you figured out to try and touch it

      @@GophersVids Not a literal conversation :)
I think pretty much everyone gets stumped on this puzzle. Probably doesn't help that the fires are purple and mystical and Shar-y so you don't immediately think of them as just a light source you can turn off.

You're a UA-cam celeb. Gonna have to take a wee bit of it sometimes.
Mildly comedic re-interpretation of antics is to be expected, dude.
Best ignore. Take it on chin.

How many new expensive GPU's in last couple years?

This location you're in. It's ok to explore it. But if you go past one point (game will tell you) you'll miss a lot of things in Act 2.

Gopher, one mechanic I missed during my playthrough, regarding the Fly ability, is that it uses your movement. It simply allows your movement to get to places you couldn't normally get to. So if you walk somewhere and use up your movement, then activate Fly, you still won't be able to get anywhere with it, as you already used up your movement.

Took you a minute to figure out this puzzle :-)) So interesting how differently you thinking process goes from what I had my first run :-)
Light cantrip gives off a lot of light, it gets applied to the weapon you're currently holding in you main hand, can't be extinguished, only moved. You just weren't paying attention what weapon you were holding when casting it. Easiest way to get rid of light - just switch weapon.
Dual wield is janky, have to always make sure it didn't come on for some reason.
Throwing is janky as well, sometimes path is interrupted and you just can't see why.
Aaand you're still forgetting to use all attacks on Karlach 😂

  • @realzyxtomatic
    @realzyxtomatic 3 місяці тому +3

Path is interrupted! :) I think the game's pathing is a bit buggy when it comes to thrown spear weapons. Lots of people on the forums complain of the same issue, so don't take it personally! :) I'm curious, if it says path is interrupted, and you click anyway, does it let you throw anyway? Or does it deny you?

My friend said he could tell a better glove pun than me.
But I'm not gauntlet that happen.
I went to a record shop and asked them for something by The Smiths.
The owner went out the back and came back with a longsword and pair of gauntlets.

I'm approaching 27, but I've been watching your videos with my younger brother since the days of Stiv 🙂
I have loved your videos because you AREN'T hyperactive and are quite sensible. Also they are very high quality. Thank you for the years of amazing videos.

I subscribed to your channel in 2013, specifically June 22. On that day, you had uploaded "Lets Play Skyrim (modded) - Chapter 2 Part 6 - Orc Warlock." I was fourteen years old.

1:32:40 This had me realize that I have also been watching your videos for about 10 years now. I started watching your videos when I got into PC gaming because of your modding guides and Mod Sanctuaries, but I stayed watching because of your let's plays. The "slowness" of your content is actually a big part of why I enjoy it; I cannot stand hyperactive/wildly edited content. I feel like I get whiplash when I watch videos like those. :)
But anyway, thank you for the content across the years. I'm 24 now, so your content was a big part of my teenage years. I can probably give you at least partial credit for starting a major domino effect in my life: my interest in modding, which turned into my passion for making mods, which developed into my interest in programming.

No spoiler hint, just how I felt about the traps:
One thing I find weird about the traps, the game lets you disarm both actuators (pressure plate/wire/button) and outlets (gargoyles/vents), can be useful, but does not have to be done. If you can find the actuator, disarm that, if you find an outlet, blocking it also works. Or, just solving the puzzles, but understandably nobody gets that on the first play through all the time.

I've been curious to see this particular conclusion to the AC quest-line. I guess, when you completed this, you realised why so many people ragged on you re: a certain somebody. 😉 Said Druid isn't amongst my favourite companions (though I don't hate him, or anything), but I like to keep him around for this quest, and because he can be useful in Act 3.

You got tunnel vision bad that time. You want it dark and there are 8 lights hanging in the room with levers to lower them down within reach and the first thing you think is NOT "hey let's put out the lights". 🤣🤣🤣
Sorry to laugh but this game will make you nuts. So many things you do that you shouldn't and as far as I can tell there's no way for you to know. So why would anyone think the solution was just hit the light switch? Wwhen every other time if you don't look under every cunt hair of grass, someone gets killed.
Like when you fight the harpies early on, there's a kid that gets killed if you don't, if you don't, well I don't know what you do. How are you even supposed to know he's there. I'm not even sure why he was dead one time, watched him get killed one time and he survived one time. Not that I've played thru the game 3 times but I played with 3 different people.
Hell, I went thru and murdered the whole goblin camp and apparently someone who was supposed to give me a mark. Gee, I hope that's not important 🤣🤣🤣
But thank you for playing. It's prolly the only way I'll ever see the story. And you're prolly the only one I could watch play it. ( I hate the "word" prolly).

Gopher, you can end a spell by clicking the little x below your character portrait at the bottom of the screen. It has a little symbol of the spell you're concentrating on as well.

Gopher probably doesn't care considering his dislike of Astarian, but some of the rogue & rogue/ranger crit builds are just incredible. If I could give one piece of advice with Astarian it would be to capitalize on his bonus actions: bonus dash into bonus hide for a sneak attack almost guarantees a critical hit and there are a variety of perks and items that synergize into a guy that can easily delete many of the games stronger and even strongest enemies in a single turn.... all by himself.
