I just realised how hilarious this must've been from the perspective of the characters. Chet takes the blade, casts grim psychometry, vomits, gives the blade back, goes back to sleep and refuses to elaborate.
Travis really struck comedy gold playing an old-ass man
An old man whom he is constantly trying to kill, just to stay on brand.
Who would've guess his show stealing, Critmas one shot character would've lasted this long?
@@tristanmilner9511 Travis said so himself that he didn't think Chet would lasted this long either. 😅
Whether as Chet or Betrand. Always remember the silver fox.
travis thought he was an 8 foot tall shirtless man with an axe.... deep down we all know hes a 3 foot tall 400 year old werewolf.
"Ptooo.... Ptooo" is really what sold the comedic timing of it all
It was such a tense part of the episode, and Travis getting the whole table to break was a much needed release.
This and the RTA meaning unveil are the best Chetney episodes in C3. Travis is a genius...
Sleepy old man is my favourite reoccurring bit of this entire campaign
proof that Travis is trying to kill Marisha with laughter.
It would have been really funny if Matt while describing the blade told Travis that he hears an evil voice come from the blade. Just to mess with him.
Then he'd have gotten another chance at getting the hat trick of possessed blades.
“Ptuegh, Ptuegh, Ptuegh” yeah i felt that, that wasnt just for comedic purposes, man.
the real question is, did delilah just straight up lie when she said it was sentient? that'd be the first outright lie she'd been caught in then.
Delilah is a liar she manipulated laudna to get what she wanted
I mean Chet checked it as well and he didn't sense any sentient mind. So yeah, I think it was a lie.
Well, it doesn't need to be sentient to be compelling. Maybe it 'just' gives a horrible blood-lust/murder addiction?
My guess is yes, she really wanted to add the swords power to her own
It could be sentient but just not willing to speak. Which is interesting in itself. A blade that is witness to the actions of its wielder but unable to voice its thoughts.
kinda reminds me of Half Baked, when they give the guy on the couch the science weed, he hits it, coughs once and goes back to sleep.
There is a thing about this that is a little off. If you looked at the record of any sword, it would be a blood soaked path. That is the nature of swords. Sure, some of the uses were clearly evil but not all of them. Since the sword isn't actually cursed, it's the weirder that makes the difference.
Cursed or not, evil intentions or not, it's still that bloody path that makes the sword a terrifying item. Fiction always has that one weapon that, on its own is practically harmless, but because it was used how it was, it suddenly becomes this mythical item that supposedly bares a half dozen curses and has the power to slay gods and demons with but a word, when in reality, it's just a basic bitch broadsword you looted off a kobold at level 3 and just never stopped using it because it "looked cool".
@@redfinale That is a fair point. It's more about the weapon's prestige than the weapon itself.
Maybe it wasn't even magical to begin with. But after taking so many lives...
@@redfinale I love that the developers of Genshin Impact took that "trope" and turned it on its head. Instead of applying that to weapon used by evil, they applied to a weapon used by good. It was a moment of, "It's not the sword that makes me that good. I am just that good."
@@ForeverDegenerate no one cares about Genshin Impact anymore bruv
one of the hardest i have laughed watching critical role
otohan was a fricking monster
Could you imagine the mindfuck if it was revealed that Ishta was a gunblade with a hidden integrated pistol?
Given the way firearms were introduced into Exandria
i need to know what the summit blades stats are
Man Ashley Johnson is so beautiful
Yeah. Makes me sad to watch her age.

The second Travis turned around, I instantly knew what was coming.
