Anyone who's stuck at the Slax part, you should first add the Slax ISO file in the CD/DVD section from settings.
Then, Right Click the OS name, hover on Power Menu > at the bottom of the menu, Click on "Power on to firmware".
You will now be in the Bios Menu. Navigate to the right side and find Boot > Use the Arrow Keys and + or - button to move CD-Rom drive at the top.
Now if you reboot, then you will see Slax loading and follow the next steps in the video.

Worked :D
Great!
i once installed alot of android on vmware and then made all them into 1 zip file
man I love u lol
Ahh thanks a lot. Is there a way to force a specific video resolution?
Yes. In menu.lst file:
Enter
_nomodeset xforcevesa video=1920x1080_
Or, to set colour depth as 32:
_video=1280x1080x32_
To set DPI:
_video=1280x1080x32 DPI=400_
Save changes and reboot.
@@0x0F15 Thanks, I tried that out but my resolution stays the same..
@@speakerpat Hmm, that's odd. I'll investigate further when I get to my computer again, and report back in due course. :)
my laptop just keeps saying no os found when i have directed it to the usb with slax on it
any ideas ?
Hey! Just confirming - you are booting Slax in a VM, correct? Unfortunately, real hardware is out of the scope of the video and will likely need extra troubleshooting.
Hello man, I got a problem here. I can't see sda1 in File Manager directory. Could you help me please?
Sure. What are the options in the sidebar that you can see?
Im on the setup and it loads to nothing and now i cant even start the setup up again
Hello. Which stage of the setup are you on? :)
@@0x0F15 actually now it works and is set up but its unstable
OK, that's great! There are no drivers that I'm aware of for Android on VMware. :)
@@0x0F15 you know what can i just go back to android os in 2012
@@Palkia8-Bit Yes, you can try to find a copy on FOSSHUB.
Although this is a tutorial for VMware, but I hope it work on real machine (cause Android x86 is not booting up on my laptop so I'll try this method today)
Sure! That sounds interesting, do keep us posted on how it goes! :)
how can i mount slax cd in vm
Hello. Please download iso first, then:
If on VMware Workstation, VM > Settings, Hardware, CD/DVD, Use ISO image file, browse for the file, OK, reboot machine.
If on VMware Fusion, Virtual Machine > Settings, CD/DVD, choose dropdown, browse for ISO, reboot machine.
To unmount, simply check connected box in same menu.
ok so i added everything and i saved but its still stuck on 'found at /dev/sda1'
Hmm. Does the console ever show? Try pressing "e" in the GRUB boot menu, is the nomodeset there? :)
