I'm so glad to welcome Estée Lalonde back to the podcast, especially as this conversation coincides with some exciting developments in her professional and personal life. There's her body care brand Mirror Water and a new relationship...
Her career is a truly incredible one: she followed her boyfriend to London, became a part of the beauty blogging community and has gone on to make her social media and UA-cam a wildly successful business. She has shared her life with millions of followers and as she evolves from influencer to businesswoman, she's opening up about the highs and lows of taking huge risks, knowing what you want from life, people and relationships and why you have to advocate for yourself.
I've known Estée for a few years now and I always come away from time spent with her feeling better for having seen the world through her eyes and, I'm just going to say it, I think this might be the best conversation I've had with her in the time we've known each other.
Estée is always honest, real and straight-talking so hearing her share her life lessons with no filter whatsoever was a real eye-opener. I learned a lot and I hope you do too!

"Are you getting in your own way? You might not even realise you are. I didn’t, but by the time I hit my late 30s, the way I thought and lived was so life-limiting that I’d backed myself into a corner and I was horribly lost; mentally, physically and emotionally. I was the Queen of self-sabotage and the only way out was to admit I didn’t have all the answers, wipe my slate clean and look at the world through other people’s eyes. And that’s how The Emma Guns Show was born. Each week I chat to guests from different backgrounds, expertise and industries to find out how they overcame their insecurities, tapped into their potential and started to live authentically. They generously share their success stories without sugar-coating the failures so you can become the best version of yourself."

I'm so glad she made a point to let us know that her long term relationship with Aslan was not the one she was referring too.
Loved the fact that she described her relationship with Aslan as the best union that she ever had in her life. I wonder what is going on in his life. Hope everything goes well for him.
OMG I am so relieved that she wasn't referring to her relationship with Aslan as the toxic one. I adored Aslan and I think that him and Estee were an adorable couple. They were a "team" and I was so sad when they ended their relationship. I also remember all the happy times with Reggie ❤ I miss the videos with the three of them 💔
Literally just clicked this to confirm that Aslan was the good boy I knew him to be and that the bad egg was not Aslan. <3
She still has love for Aslan. You can see it. 😢
Aslan really helped give us estee❤ I hope he’s doing well
Why did they break-up? If it was a good relationship…what does that mean? I am just thinking out loud and she has the right to share whatever she wants. I really like how Amelia addressed her break-up head on. There were no questions after that video. The break-up made sense and I know everyone who watch Amelia was cheering her on in the beginning of that relationship. So, when it was over and then she did the video, I mean, that took so much courage because we all were on the journey with her. I was loving every minute of the family dinners, parties, getting to know the in-laws, his sister, and so much more. It was beautiful. And also feeling her pain when it all crashed. It was dramatic, full of emotion, and also love because her friends and family really put their arms around her and got her through. So, yes, nosey and all, I wish Estee could explain the reasons for walking away or why he walked away from a good relationship? The insight could help others who think they are in a good relationship but really maybe we are just complacent. It’s easier than leaving. Anyway, thinking out loud :).
Love Estee!
I think deep down inside Estee still loves Aslan. They were soulmates.
Wishing both Aslan and Estée joy in their new relationships!
I love how clearly she states that it’s not about the relationship we would all be thinking of to negate any drama and how highly she still speaks of that relationship. I feel like all of her OG subscribers have a sense of nostalgia for that young, first public relationship Estée but so amazing to watch grow and mature with her as well 💗
Was heart broken for a second thinking the relationship was the one with Aslan... So relieved it wasn't... For me they were the more adorable couple ever... The respect the support the love they had is unmatched!!! Looked up to that relationship for so so long
I love how she’s smiles when she talks about her old relationship!! Ah I wish them the best 💕
these comments is exactly what she is reffering too! please lets stop, she has moved on, lets move on too and stop making assumptions about her last relationship.
"I owe everything to that relationship." Awww I actually miss her with Aslan. But I'm happy they didn't end in bad terms.
I really enjoyed this podcast!!!! Estée has been my favorite UA-camr since 2011 ❤
The thing about anxiety is soo true! With my ex I was constantly anxious, constantly on edge, I literally couldn’t sleep most nights because I was worried he was out cheating on me (which he was). Anxiety is the BIGGEST sign that you gotta go.
I'm so glad to find out it wasn't about that relationship. We all share the good vibes of those times.
Emma has the best voice, she would be an amazing audiobook recording artist.
When she did her boyfriend tag that was the first video I ever saw of her and thats when I fell in love with both of them! :-) I wish them both the best.
