Breath of the Wild definitely is some next level shit. I played it for weeks and only stopped playing recently so I can play other games. Now I'm playing it again so I can capture footage for my own review and it's still amazing.
ive played over 300 hours now and for me its lost a bit of its magic but its still and amazing game in general but im biast so i still like windwaker more
Eric Sledge While I’ll agree TP has a better story, are we really going to turn down BotW’s gameplay mechanics over TP’s? I know the learned sword moves are great, but compare BotW’s climbing ability, paraglider, horse-breaking, crafting, more weapons, better enemies, bigger more explorable world, I could go on. NGL though, I love TP. I just happen to think compared to BotW it is an odd matchup.
I have about 280 hours on BotW. There was one day, where I woke up at noon and started playing, and only stopped to shower and eat. I kept playing until 2pm the next day. So I played BotW for 26 hours straight lmao. It's so good
Legend of Zelda: I ran out of bombs. Zelda 2: I can't... hit... this... guy! Zelda a Link to the Past: 's good. Zelda Link's Awakening: Why is Mario? Zelda Ocarina of Time: 's good. Zelda Majora's Mask: Spooky scary skeletons. Zelda Oracle of Seasons: Buy it. Zelda Oracle of Ages: Buy it again. Zelda Four Swords: But I don't have fiends... Zelda the Wind Waker: I'm on a boat! I'm on a boat. Zelda Four Sword Adventures: But I don't have- wait didn't I already do this one? Zelda the Minish Cap: You can roll in 2D! Zelda Twilight Princess: It has Midna, so therefor it is best. Zelda Phantom Hourglass: First we do this dungeon, next THIS dun- oh it's the same one... okay well next is- oh... Zelda Spirit Tracks: Who needs a boat when you can have... A TRAIN! Zelda Skyward Sword: 's bad. Zelda a Link Between Worlds: There's people and evil people! Zelda Tri Force Heroes: But I don't have f- HOW MANY TIMES ARE YOU GOING TO TRY AND SELL ME THAT!?! Zelda Breath of the Wild: Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. And Mipha.
Love the video. I remember getting Breath of The Wild. My daughter and I played it together. Never had more fun. A true masterpiece. Nintendo just makes fun games.
Spirit Tracks is highly underrated man. It fixes most of the issues of Phantom Hourglass. It may seem restricted with a train for traveling the overworld, but unlike the boat you have full control of direction in real time, and through side quests more and more tracks open up, it actually ends up feeling more expansive than you would initially think. Also the dungeon you return to has sections rather than one long path, so unlike PH you can just skip previous sections. Also the buddy system in that dungeon where you control both Link and Zelda at the same time is also very fun.
Not to mention the character interactions. Some of the conversations in that game are priceless, especially with the Anoukis. It's really refreshing and hasn't been properly done so well since. Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom let you make some sassy comments and replies, but they never impact the game in any way. I'll always remember the conversation with the Anouki ice seller. Depending on your responses, you can get his ice for free. Everyone's tone in that game feels either very casual or sassy, and I love it.
I like how you explained that you consider Oot to be the best Zelda game, yet you also think MM is the best game in the Series. I was always torn by those two titles as to which one I considered my favorite, but now I have this internal conflict compromised by recognizing they are both equally my favorite. Oot for a Zelda Masterpiece, and MM for an Experimental Success. Anyone reading this that hasn’t played either one of these games, owes it to themselves to experience these 2 great titles. P.S. All it took was this video, and I subscribe while dropping a thumbs up. Can’t wait to watch the rest of your content. 👍
I actually love Spirit Tracks' story. Ghost Zelda is the best companion ever and the character interactions between Link and Zelda are great. She literally gets killed by a new villain named Chanceller Cole who is a demon disguised as a human within Hyrule's government. He wants to revive the Demon King by getting rid of the Spirit Tracks alongside Bryne who is also a well-developed character. It's the most unique plot out of every Zelda game; you should give it a chance. Ganon is nowhere to be seen or mentioned.
broooo I'm so hype that you decided to take on Zelda. I never played the series, I appreciate your outlook and opinion. Great job on the video as always bro
@@jonbrown1502 What would he even talk about in Hyrule Warriors? It seems like the least interesting Zelda game to talk about. It’s not an epic adventure with an interesting story, it’s just Dynasty Warriors with a Zelda theme.

Spirit Track, fun to play and it's better than hourglass, goal is to get Zelda body back before Ganon revive inside her body. your companion is Zelda but in Ghost form and must go through 1 dungeon per section (4 total) and 4 mini dungeon inside tower before reach to final boss.

I hope you do an "Uncivil Synopsis" on Banjo-Kazooie eventually, for though it could be summed as "Super Mario 64" on steroids (or collect the things the game but as you have said, better implemented than Donkey Kong 64) it is vastly different by being developed by the British subsidiary of Nintendo: Rareware and for an E rated game it is quite lewd in its humor but because it was primarily British in style it so it managed to slip by on an international scale. As for the retrospective, I am unfortunately unfamiliar with the series save Link's Awakening for the Gameboy other than that this was quite enlightening and you were quite formal and it is pleasant to see someone call out Nintendo where they fell short especially for such an iconic series as Zelda.
Love your videos, never stop making them. As a kid I actually didn't love Ocarina and never beat it, but I fucking loved Majora's. It's still the only Zelda game I've bothered beating. Breath of the Wild looks incredible though, and I can't wait to play it when I get around to buying a Switch someday. Oh yeah, and fuck the stupid timeline.
Actually for ocarina of time, you dont have to complete the adult dungeons in order, you just need the right items. One good order is forest, water, spirit, fire, and shadow, as long as you go collect the lense of truth after the water or forest temple
Super Paper Mario is a masterpiece. Not garbage. Being different doesn't equal bad when the differences are great and the essence of the series is kept the same.

Surprised that this video has so little views for all of the work you put into it. This is a really fantastic video! Great work. I might love it more if you weren't so angry towards Twilight Princess but oh well, everyone's entitled to their own opinions 😂
It seems like you are pointing out all the bad in Skyward Sword while ignoring all the good. Sure, I agree that the game is very linear, the sky is empty, etc. However, you're also overlooking the dungeons. The dungeons in this game are really great, like the time traveling Sandship and the layout shifting Sky Keep, and there are also great puzzles in the overworld. The whole concept of timeshift stones is really interesting. Also, even though you go back to the same areas, you never do the same thing aside from returning to Skyview Temple and the Imprisoned fights. You always go to a new area each visit, or the entire region changes like Faron Woods being flooded
Thanks for this. Last time I seriously played was probably around windwaker or minish cap. Now I know to skip all the other stuff and go straight to "breath of the wild" instead of messing with "twilight princess" or "skyward sword"
Things get a bit serious when he reaches Majora's Mask. It's a chill video before that, but then, it's like a very different person. Rants and screams.
Yeah, I'm a bit mixed on whether or not I should have included that. If you're familiar with the other videos I make, I don't think it's that surprising, but if you're jumping into this video for the first time, I can understand how it's a major turnoff. I think it mostly an issue with how long it takes to get the factual information out, because I never had this issue with any other videos before. I could have maybe included a crude language warning at the beginning of the video, but I guess I wasn't thinking about it that much. You missed out on spirit tracks. It is actually underrated. It has one of the best implementations of zelda. The Story is really good as well. This was my first zelda game and is my favourite one till this day (have not played all of them yet though)
HyperCharge Yeah, I can see why. I bought phantom hourglass because I enjoyed spirit tracks so much. Needless to say that ph was an utter disapointment.
I absolutely love Breath of the Wild (who doesn't) but after beating it and doing most of everything in the game (and I'm still working on completing it) - Majora's Mask is still my favorite Zelda. Majora's Mask was perfectly crafted.
Most of my favourite Zelda games take place outside of Hyrule, Link's Awakening (it has so much charm, was made the year I was born & was the first Zelda game I ever played- it was the one that hooked me for life), Majora's Mask (the story line is so engrossing & unlike all the pussys that hate the time travelling aspect- I thought it was revolutionary) & Twilight Princess (technically this does take place in Hyrule, but it's mostly in the twilight realm so it doesn't count in my mind- the imagery is unlike any other Zelda game). Great video btw
I think Breath of the Wild suffers from the lack of importance with the things you find. It is a horrible game to 100% and way too easy to break by upgrading the armors, as the armor directly subtracts the damage. Well, Joseph Anderson made a good video about the game, so whatever. Good video anyway.
Do u see the massive amount of fingerprints on that sharp Nintendo tv. Come on man keep your collection clean, especially that rare beauty. If you got the remote to it your my idol. Unless its a video graphic then forget it lol,.....nice video regardless
+HyperCharge I love me some single player TriForceHeroes, but man are you right about SkywardSword! It just felt LAME from the very beginning, I didn’t even get halfway thru. I also didn’t finish PhantomHourglass, or even play SpiritTracks, but I’ve seen some reviewers that live for that game, & call it the most underrated Zelda game of all time. And yes BOTW was awesome, I probably put around 300 hours into that game, and I never play games for even more than 40 hours usually. The previous record holder was 88 hours in Darksiders2, a Zelda clone.
The Mandela effect changed the name of the The Adventure's of Link that is what it used to be called not The Adventure of Link.. What do you remember?? I remember The Adventure's of Link...
32:47 Demise IS NOT Ganon! Demise is a demon it was him who started the Ganondorf meme ok?! I know my Zelda lore. Demise placed a curse on Link and Zelda saying that a reincarnation will forever haunt Link and Zelda's descendants. This reincarnation became Ganondorf and thus the cycle started. So in almost every Zelda game Ganon has to be killed and he'll be reborn to repeat the cycle
I'm not even going to go into the Zelda Timeline, because I could honestly make an entire video about how messy it is. All that really matters is that Demise is the bad guy at the end of the game that you kill with the Master Sword. That's all Ganondorf was and that's all Demise is.

look i found someone who loves majoras mask just as much as i do
I think Breath of the Wild suffers from the lack of importance with the things you find.
Yo play Spirit Tracks it's so underrated. Don't judge a book by its cover
I can tell that you put a ton of effort into this video. Because of that, you've got yourself a thumbs up👍🏻
Very well put together👏🏻
+HyperCharge I love me some single player TriForceHeroes, but man are you right about SkywardSword! It just felt LAME from the very beginning, I didn’t even get halfway thru. I also didn’t finish PhantomHourglass, or even play SpiritTracks, but I’ve seen some reviewers that live for that game, & call it the most underrated Zelda game of all time. And yes BOTW was awesome, I probably put around 300 hours into that game, and I never play games for even more than 40 hours usually. The previous record holder was 88 hours in Darksiders2, a Zelda clone.
Minish cap was my first ever tloz game
You can't begin BOTW without the glider, so at least in the beginning it's pretty much a linear game with little exploration.
The Mandela effect changed the name of the The Adventure's of Link that is what it used to be called not The Adventure of Link.. What do you remember?? I remember The Adventure's of Link...
Breath of the wild is the best game I’ve ever played
welp....you got a new subscriber.
It's not messy just confusing Zelda timeline is love! Zelda timeline is life! Hey fight Nintendo not me ok?!!
I'd fight Nintendo if they actually cared about the timeline at all, but I'll save that all for a future video
15:00 lmaoooo gotem
I’m glad to hear unpopular opinions, it lets you see what they see and you might change your prospective a bit.
This deserves more views
Edit: after finishing this video ngl you had some shit takes, but still a great video 😂
I thought Super Paper Mario was pretty good................................
Please don't kill me...
Hey hypercharge. Remember the Switch trailer? Did Mario Kart 8 make you happy with king boo and bob omb blast?
I'm enjoying it, but it's basically the same game. Been playing a lot of battle mode online
HyperCharge nice. I'm still saving for a switch and hoping Nintendo eventually restocks them :D
