Many thanks. Love your work. One thing that you're missing: Magic is real. I myself come from the top family of the Satanic world and we rule over the earth by way of pacts with demons and Satan himself. "Gillette, the best a man can get" being the family slogan, should truly read "Gillette, the BEAST a man can get." We own everything and everybdoy and there is no truth that we haven't bought and paid for. Penn Gillette as the representative of the clan within stage magic is paralleled by Grand Magus of the Church of Satan, Peter H. Gil-more. If you want a citation that proves this point, I'll be glad to post it in my next comment. For some reason the Christian church refuses to acknowledge the reality of the paranormal, and thereby cedes the argument by not taking note of the evidence. One excellent place to start one's personal investigation into this issue is by way of NPR's show "Snap Judgement" via its series "Spooked." The episodes going back to the introduction of the annual series a few years ago are archived online, the most eompelling stories featured in the first two seasons. And I can provide more.

The problem with biblical interpretive research is most of the work comes from solid Christians trying to fortify the Bible’s accuracy or atheists who try to prove God doesn’t exist. Both sides are not credible as both sides end up driving an agenda rather than joining in an honest study of history - as accurate as we can get it. This video bashes Christians throughout, even getting political by bashing Trump. I see two people with an equal blinding ideology as Christians have - only opposite. There are many content creators who delve into this topic without the religious emotional pollution. Mind you, atheism is just as much of a cult with doctrine as Christianity is. Your fervor for your belief system is aimed at shaming Christian’s as Christians shame you. I hope you veer far away from your religion of no-God to be simply unbiased apolitical researchers. Your information could become more valuable. I have to discard this research because of your bias as I discard the works of Christians.
To get to the truth we all need to meet in the middle and free the discussion of God altogether.
My goal is to free the spiritual almighty- whatever that entity is from what I believe is simply a retell of much more ancient history than what the Bible relates.
My research has nothing to do with disproving an almighty spiritual realm. That cannot be proven or disproven.
Never the less this discussion is essential and hopefully can be done by all parties without the unnecessary bias.

There has been scholarly research done that describes Yahweh originally as a volcano god/ blacksmith god. Iron age, I think. Thus there are tons of references in the bible to fire and brimstone, mountains, and the like. Apparently the people in the region were awed by the new "magic" of blacksmithing due to its similarities to what volcanoes do, and for these people to produce items from it. Subsequently, Yahweh also became a god of war, because metal weapons were now able to be made. Yahweh is a god full of rage (like a volcano), and full of jealousy. For a long time he was just one god of many from a pantheon of regional desert tribes. El, I believe, was thought to be the main god.

It's a typical misunderstanding that an atheist is distinct from an agnostic. They are two different scales. Atheism/theism is about belief in a divine entity. Gnosticism/agnosticism is concerned with the availability of knowledge. Most atheists are agnostic.

Whether such a category of entities exists or not is beyond human knowledge or even the ability of humanity ever to perceive (i.e. the outside of time and space ontology). That doesn't mean gods certainly don't exist, but it does mean that the numerous historical claims to knowledge, which are not available to us, aren't acceptable to agnostic atheists.
Most atheists are agnostic like most theists are gnostic... but there's no obligation either way. One could be an agnostic theist - not believing there's actual knowledge of the divine, but believing in the divine's existence nevertheless. Meanwhile, one can be a gnostic atheist, declaring that knowledge is sufficient to contend that no gods exist. I have met a few of those two groups, but it's usually agnosticism + atheism, and gnosticism + theism.

Ever since I read God: An Anatomy (GREAT book!!) I've wondered if the first temple had a statue of Yahweh and Asherah in it. My theory is basically this: 1) archeology indicates that both ordinary Israelites and even elites believed in "Yahweh and his Asherah" throughout the First Temple period, including having statues of both in their homes, so this was apparently normal; 2) while trying to put idols in the temple in the Maccabean period and later instantly led to revolt, Kings and Chronicles record at least three times when kings put idols in the temple, with no record or hint of a hostile reaction from the people, so perhaps it was normal to them...and even the post-Babylonian Captivity editors couldn't fake it; 3) the idea that there should be no idols of Yahweh seems to have been one of those rules added after the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem - so maybe a reaction to having their god's statues carried away?; 4) since the rest of the design of the Jerusalem first temple was so in line with all the other temples from that region, it would seem reasonable to expect that that feature would be there too.
I'd love to know what Dr. Stravrakopoulou and others think of that idea?

Maybe too technically or pragmatically oriented but I must ask. It always struck me as irrational that the concept of ‘a day’ of time passing could be calculated before the creation of the Earth as a day is simply one revolution of the Earth around its axis. Therefore, before the creation of the Earth how did GD measure the span of a day’s worth of time? Perhaps by another method or basis of measure (assuming one believes literally in creation myth).

"Day" as describing, alluding to, that which follows night/darkness. We arise with sunlight and begin our day. We are meant to understand spiritual things not stand alone science. I think 🙄 the creation "day" means to convey that message.

    • @debrapaulino918
      @debrapaulino918 11 місяців тому +1

@@jeffknetzer856Time was in God to do. If God is our construct, it logically follows we created time. How is that possible when we did not always exist? Since we did not exist before time how then did we create time? Nothing exists w/o light not even water as far as I know? If water was in the cosmos in a mist it did not become useful until light acted upon it. Whether a six day creation is true or not, I think the science of its logical sequential order is spot on. I took a basic science class in college and how striking it was that science backs up the fact that light happened first. Did our super id do that? Light happened from compulsion? Light was the other side of the dark expanse and poked through because of compulsion? Why wasn't it ok just as it was? Why wasn't it enough? Why can light not leave well enough alone? It has its side. Dark has its. Hmm. Seems the nature / attribute? of light is to create. Sciencewise, does light possess all the elements to do such a thing? I don't know. If yes, it means elements pre-existed light but just as darkness is incapable of creating so too were elements. It logically concludes that the first "day" began with light and "time" had 0 to do with it. Time followed light just as creation did. Light assembled the elements to create everything into forms; everything a composite of same elements but differently arranged and not evolving from another. Extinction has occurred while adduction has not. We are human because we were created to be that from the start. Whatever we looked like several millennia ago the fact remains it was human. If that wasn't the case we should see ourselves in different stages of primate to human development today. Have a nice day 🎉

And maybe they toyed with the idea that "they", one of their ranks, could become Messiah. Cause that all got kicked of with the 70 weeks Daniel shit. So, dr. S. if you please?

      From a Biblical scholar:
"So for example, when we read carefully what Yahweh says in the book of Leviticus, namely that the Aaronids (the sons of Aaron only), are high priests contrary to the Levites, that they alone are Yahweh’s mediators and the Levites are reduced to mere ministers of the Aaronids, that only through sacrifice can one atone for sins and not confession as preached by the Levites, or more precisely the Levite’s Yahweh, etc., *it can be no coincidence that in these laws and commandments,* ***which are placed on the mouth of Yahweh,*** *that Yahweh himself is presented advocating and legitimating the very views and beliefs of the specific priestly guild writing the text, and,* ***contrary*** *to the views and beliefs of their rivals, the Levites and the Levite’s Yahweh!* We will examine this more closely when we get to the contradictions in these books. But in short, this was the function of ancient literature, and we are allowing these ancient texts to speak for themselves. *In this particular case, the Levites and Aaronids wrote specific texts that each advocated their religious beliefs, views, and their position as high priests* ***by writing these sentiments directly into the mouth of their god!***
But just studying the Bible alone, scientifically, affords us the occasion *to see that many of these so-called words of Yahweh are* ***actually the very words of the texts’ authors.*** When we see numerous texts employing this ancient literary technique, and moreover, ***presenting Yahweh as the spokesperson for their own views and agenda,*** *and* ***contrary*** *to Yahweh’s other words in other texts written by other authors employing the same technique,* how can one conclude otherwise.
In other words, when in the composite text that we now call the Bible we find: Yahweh declaring that only Aaronids can officiate as his priests and Yahweh declaring that all Levites can officiate as high priest; Yahweh declaring that sin is atoned through confession and Yahweh declaring that sin is only expiated through the sacrificial cult, no exceptions; Yahweh declaring that he gave laws and commandments at Sinai and Yahweh declaring that he only gave the Ten Commandments at Sinai; Yahweh commanding to exterminate all the Canaanites without pity and Yahweh declaring to tolerate them and live in their midst; Yahweh declaring that the wilderness generation were disloyal and rebellious and Yahweh declaring that they were a paradigm of loyalty and faith; Yahweh declaring that he may be offered sacrifices at any altar and Yahweh declaring that there is only one altar where sacrifices are to be offered up; Yahweh declaring that the people saw him at Sinai and Yahweh declaring that they only heard his voice; Yahweh declaring that circumcision is an eternal covenant and keeping the land depends on observing this very commandment and Yahweh declaring the Mosaic laws as the covenant and keeping the land is dependent on keeping these laws; Yahweh declaring that he dwells in the midst of the people and Yahweh declaring that he only resides in heaven; Yahweh commanding Passover to be celebrated by all at Jerusalem and Yahweh commanding it to be celebrated at each person’s home; Yahweh commanding that animals for consumption must be ritually sacrificed and Yahweh commanding that they don’t have to be sacrificed ritually, etc. ***one must conclude that Yahweh is being used by these authors, each with their own contrary views and beliefs as a spokesperson for each of these authors’ agendas.*** These are all the personal, and competing, views, theological beliefs, and religious systems of our biblical authors. And this is only the tip of the iceberg."

There was no j in the Latin alphabet, they used an i. The true name of the God of the Old Testament, the God of the Hebrews, is Yahuah. The sole purpose of the sacrifices was as a teaching tool to prepare the Israelites for the coming sacrifice of the Son of God. Since His coming, there is no need for more sacrifices! In about 165 BC, Samaritans moved into the Jerusalem area. They are the ones we know as the Pharisees and Sadducees. They were not descendants of Abraham. The only Hebrews in Israel today are the Arabs, descendants of Ishmael, the first son of Abraham. The others are Khazarians from the steppes of Russia.

I find the psychology behind all of man's beliefs to be far more interesting than any of his "stories".
It all comes down to the awakening of the mind.... curiosity .... the desire to know. Man did not get expelled from the "garden"... he saw that there was more to the world than the fruit of the trees, and sought the "fruit" of the tree of knowledge. The dangers, or the perception of danger that comes with entering the darkness to see what is there is THE source of the psychology of our ancestors. What made us to challenge our own fear, and reap the rewards of curiosity is within our very nature. The mind is not satisfied by comfort, and food....it needs much much more to be fulfilled. We found that fulfillment in knowledge and understanding of the physical world.... and now, we complete that quest by understanding the mind itself. Within us lies the answers to all the questions.... and the questions themselves.

The Greek philosophers never used the name Yahweh to describe God, it was a pitiful attempt by those same Romans to defy God and obtain eternal life through nefarious means. Just as they are to this day trying to do the same thing by shooting rockets and nukes at the magnetosphere, day in and day out. They think Giving Yaldabaoth the demiurge a new name will save them somehow and defy God, but they dont understand that God Invented names, surely He has all of them already, yet El or Isle or Allah or Ilah is more appropriate because you can say that name and breath inward like he breathes life into our souls as light to animate and then in through our nostrils to animate the body and mind.@@drsatan7554 I also realize how the information portrayed in misleading and designed to make one think that way, but I am however; immune to the shekels of the dichotic spells these idiots weave and ensnare so many with. Derek, Derek, Derek .... the garden myth in Genesis is not about food. It's not even about eating an apple. THERE IS NO FOOD AND NO APPLE in the story. "Eating of the fruit" is a mythological "literary device" that means "to engage with" or "to experience". "The knowledge of" means "to experience, as you must know, .... to "know a woman" means to have sex with her ... as in "he knew her not", etc ... thus "eating of the fruit" of something, (in this case a mythological "tree" ... not a real tree) means to "try to experience, or attempt to experience" ie to "know" .... experiencing "the fruit" of the "tree" of the KNOWLEDGE of (both at the SAME TIME) good and evil. The thing that is forbidden is to attempt to "know" BOTH good and evil and not make a moral choice. Humans can't do that. They must chose, ... you can't both cheat on your wife, and not cheat on your wife. Unless you as a humanist do the ONE thing, (chose to maintain your moral center) that you believe you must do, you lose yourself .... and that's why the MYTH says, "you will die". You lose yourself. You ex-Christians must learn to stop with the childish Christian literalisms and learn how to read mythology.
In ancient Babylonian myths, (a lot of Genesis has Babylonian material) as this expert can tell you, is about Chaos and Order. They did not have "good and evil" They had Chaos and Order. Besides their Creation myth, which you should read, the most important myth was "Marduk Slays the Dragon of Chaos. This is basically where the Hebrews got the notion about "eating of the tree" of BOTH good and evil AT THE SAME TIME. When Marduk slices Tiamet in 1/2 (the dragon of Chaos) he creates "order" of her and the universe. And this is what Genesis recounts in the garden myth. Chaos and Order. Adam and Eve are told NOT to attempt to live in chaos, (which is not possible for humans) but to accept the order they are given as possible in human life. Christians are so used to reading this with their own interpretation in the brains, they cannot even see the words as they are printed on the page in front of them. See Martin Buber, Jewish Philosopher, "Good and Evil", Part 2.
It's about the "attempt *to encompass opposites* (in the same person at one time). One must chose which action promotes their core being, or their core self dies. One cannot "know" both chaos and order. (the fruit of the tree in the myth). That's a pretty phenomenal human insight for the ancients

Our problem as humans is that we asking the wrong question which leads us to circular answers. The question we asking is, does God exist, this lead the masses to automatically respond, YES, he does exist because the religious texts say he does. Added to that you have the social indoctrinated psychological responses - I feel his presence or have “mystical” experiences that proves he exist. The masses who make these claims do not understand the extent to which social indoctrination plays in influencing their mental states and the biochemical effects of chemicals such as DMT in so called mystical experiences/feelings. The right question we must ask, and which religious scholars like Francesca is researching into, is where does the God idea come from, when and why did such an idea arise. The deity ideas is part of various cultural expressions which arose from different cosmic dramas, that is, the changes and interactions of various celestial images in the night-sky and correlating these to terrestrial life and events. These cosmic images were first recorded as cave and rock art and narratives were created to show relations between these and terrestrial things and events. Over thousands of years such ideas evolved into complex cultural expressions, traditions, rituals including religion. All religions have their origination from different presentations of the cosmic dramas. Humans are now slaves to nonsense mythological ideas which have caused such destruction and are preventing our higher conscious evolution.
