  • A super cheap way to upgrade your throttle body on a 4.6 mustang, crown vic, or other 4.6 2v engines by using a 70mm factory throttle body off a Lincoln Aviator 4.6 4v or Ford Econoline Van with a 5.4 2v.

Your level measurement was forgiven by the gasket measurement 👍

The take away from this video is a mostly bolt on NA 4.6l engine without blower nitrous or cams a 75 mm TB is actually to big and you lose a ton of low end response time and power and only a small amount of gains at the top so a 70mm TB is actually a good all around performance upgrade for these applications over a 75mm and you can usually sell off the 70mm when you upgrade to larger needs. By going this route you avoid having to shit out $250 for a slightly larger TB you might out grow in a short period of time. Going to look for one of these at the salvage yard for my nephews car.

Your trading velocity for volume, which will lessen your lower end torque and add to your higher rpm power minimally…

Can you put your stock tb sensor frm the 65mm on to the 5.4 one? Ive been running my 70mm but every time i install it back on my fuel gauge needle goes higher than it was before i took the 65mm off

Had it ever even occurred to you to simply modify the bracket that HOLDS the cruise control cable ? as in cut out the part that hold the cable and re weld it closer to the throttle shaft? As in get a bracket from the junkyard and hack it up instead of yours in case there is an issue.
