Dale Ellis was the shit at one point...
He was a ridiculous shooter coming off screens, especially in his first stint in Seattle.
@@batman9512 He was always the shit but Dick Motta hated him and only put Dale in at the end of close games to hit the three's for the win. I was sooo happy when he got traded to Seattle and was a starter who made a big difference for them as he hit the ground running, still hitting the three's for many more years. His career 3P% is 7% higher than MJ.
@@maxximus67 Motta was JEALOUS bc Dale could do things that Motta's heroes could not do..and that was score/pass/rebound and run the floor and hit the 3 or drive it home in the paint. ONE OF THE NBA's ALL-TIME GREATS, but you'd never know it bc everything back then was kissing MJ's ass.
Dale Ellis could play w. anybody any era.
PEACE.
@bishlap you over doing it a tad bit weirdo. Dale Ellis was a great shooter but to call him a all time great player is meat glazing at its finest. Damn get off ya knees little homie 😂
bro i used to live in his old house and his room w all his shit tommorow
Jordan was actually worth several times the price of admission, IF we're being honest.
See Jordan and click automatically
Especially if it's footage you don't think you've seen before, or since it originally aired.
Dale Ellis' twin brother was in the Marines with me back in 1983.
Shawn Kemp's rookie season!
Dale was fuckin nuts with the 3 pointer.
Over the backboard shot by MJ, there’s literally nothing he didn’t do
Sedale Threatt sighting
It is worth noting that Jordan had 3 sucessful 3 pointers in this game plus many outside jumpers. Whenever he had to go up against a fierce rival, he mirrored the skills of the other player to show he is better. The sonics had the upper hand of course, Ellis had 4 3 pointers and X-man was top scorer with 36 points.
Another super rare game. Is it just me or was almost every make a swish?!? The weren't even hitting the rim
I noticed that too. Just stroking those J's.
That's that Carolina shooting form, hits the rim soft as a baby's bottom, if it ever hit's the rim.
Imagine Jordan nay sayers are suggesting that he didnt have no competition. Thanks for the Video MJ23 His Airness Forever.
ESPN programs people to speak nonsense like that.
Timmaz Dangerus he didnt have any competition cuz he destroyed it lol
Lol those Sonics are a .500 team
rafikz77 exactly!!! A .500 team. Is that goood this team would win 50 plus today
mansonlamps lol no those Sonics would be a lottery team today
@2:28 Young Shawn Kemp robbed here! That's a clean block on the reigning MVP!
Clearly hit the backboard first you blind clown
ball was on the way down. it was a swaggy reject though. kemps rejects are a thing a beauty
Not even one idiotic celebration, how I miss those times.
From about 1988 to 1998, there was a lot of talent that Michael came up against from:
Michael Finely, Gary Payton, Dražen Petrović (In America), Glen Rice, Larry Johnson, Shaq, Penny Hardaway, Grant Hill, Dale Ellis, Kobe, Iverson, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Vince Carter, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Paul Pierce, Tracy McGrady, Dirk Nowitzki etc etc.
5:59 over the backboard shot rule is the strangest in the NBA. Sometimes they allow it and sometimes they don't. Even shots from directly behind the backboard sometimes don't get waived off.

🗣️DALE ELLIS WAS GLEN RICE BEFORE GLEN RICE . DALE WAS DEFINITELY UNDERRATED . THE MAVS AND SONICS GAVE UP ON HIM TO SOON .>🎤 🏀🗑️
Marietta?
Yeah
Same hometown as Norm Nixon.
Where did u find this!!
Scottie Pippen was about 2 years off from being a great player. 87/88 Pippen's rookie year he averaged just 7ppg. 88/89 Pippen averaged 14ppg the entire season. Basically Jordan's Bulls didnt Get over the hump and start having a winning record to 1990/1991. By that time Pippen was deadly on defense, averaged 20ppg and Horace Grant also stepped his game up was averaging 13ppg.
🗣️ST🛑P 🧢CAPTAIN CRUNCHING . THE BULLS HAD WINNING RECORDS BEFORE THE 1990 - 91 SEASON . IN THE 1990 - 1991 SEASON SCOTTIE PIPPEN AVG. JUST 17 .8 PTS. , N🚫T 20 PTS. MIND YOU HE ONLY AVG. 20 PTS. OR MORE 3 TIMES PLAYING WITH MIKE . HORACE GRANT ALSO , AVG. 12 . 8 PTS. , N 🚫 T 13 PTS. IN THE 1990 - 91. SEASON .>🎤 🏀🗑️
Pippen and Grant were not ready for the championship level until early 91, totally agree. Jordan never had to learn to play with his teammates, THEY had to learn to play alongside him.
There is a game of the Bulls vs the Sonics and Horace Grant scored 30 points but Jordan had fouled out do you have that game 😮⁉️
Honestly Dale Ellis was a better player than MJ..
Goat

That was before the NBA decided to change their rules to protect. MJ
rafikz77 -protect MJ? You kids are laughable. The greater part of rule changes occur in 04-05. If your talking about the flagrant foul rules in 91, you have no idea what you're saying and you're regurgitating internet conspiracy theory nonsense. Go watch games from the 90's and get back to me about him being protected - that's literally absurd.
@@boogieloo1831 I'm not talking rule changes I'm talking about special treatment
@jaboo82681 true true, but not as much as Jordan tbh
FTs attempted per game: Harden - 8.3, K. Malone - 8.9, Kobe - 7.4, LeBron - 8.1, and Jordan 8.2. This is a very high-level FT attempts comparison, and rules changes and style of play between eras are factors. Jordan was very aggressive and played with a high motor, so it's logical he'd draw more fouls than Kobe, as an example. Also, Kobe took more threes than Jordan, since the game was not as three-oriented when Jordan played. This meant that Jordan was taking shots closer to the basket and in more crowded areas, which increased the likelihood he'd get fouled. It's no secret that all stars get some sort of special treatment.
rafikz77 this wasn’t before Jordan started getting superstar calls. In fact, about a month or so into his pro career, he was on the cover of Sports Illustrated (A Star is Born) and they talked about how superstars got preferential treatment and that Jordan was already being allowed to get away with travels, because he was a star already. It was already commonplace for stars to get calls before Jordan entered in the NBA, and it remained that way after he left.
