- The Retroid Pocket 2S is fantastic for Dreamcast emulation. It was able to run everything I threw at it without any issues and the analogue triggers are perfect for racing games.
All emulation is done with the free version of the Redream app. No frameskip and VSync enabled.

Do you have any general thoughts on the pocket 2s vs the rg405m?
Stick location seems big - is the stick on the bottom or top more comfortable when you are using it a lot?
My first handheld and I have narrowed it down to the two. Mostly n64, gamecube, PlayStation 1 and GBA. (My childhood). Lol

TLDR: I prefer the stick on top for the types of games I play (GC, PS2, N64) and also prefer using the stick instead of the d-pad for consoles that didn't originally have one. Overall, I like the RG405M better for the premium feel, stick positions and bigger screen but the RP2S is a solid choice as well.

It is the perfect size ! But we need a faster processor for ps2 emulation !
For some reason my trigger buttons aren’t being recognized in the app when I go to remapping any advice?
Go to your android system settings and find Handheld Settings. Look for input and check the L2/R2 input mode, it should be "both" for Dreamcast I believe.
If you are using redream, you may also want to check the settings to make sure they are mapped correctly

I'm not super familiar with the Saturn catalogue but I'd definitely put it on my list to showcase. Besides those games you want to be tested, do you have any other recommendations of games I could look into?

The games I've listed are some of the harder ones to emulate. I have a RP2+, thought it would run these Saturn games since, reviewers claim Saturn wouldn't be an issue🙄
I say throw some Saturn games you may think is interesting, in your play testing.
I did some testing and the three games you asked about all run with heavy frame skipping to the point where I would not consider them very enjoyable. It seems like everything else I throw at it is fine but the ones you mention are too much to handle it seems

Most reviewers seem to rather sell the idea, that these handhelds can play Saturn games. But not actually play the demanding ones.
@TheObserver85 it's strange that Saturn emulation isn't as stable as Dreamcast given that Dreamcast came later. I definitely had some trouble with Saturn in general where I had no issues with anything Dreamcast
Does the analog stick not work? I noticed it when you were playing Metropolis Street Racer. The analog stick seems to act like a d-pad - there's no response at all when you tried to steer only a little bit.
The analog stick does work. It has a bit of a deadzone which can be tweaked but I'm also not super good at racing games which might explain why I'm all over the road there

What stickcaps do you use?
Those are joycon caps. They fit well for the most part but the concave tops of the RP2S joysticks make for a little bubble between the caps and the sticks but not very noticeable
