@@thebigm-dub3887 It's not. Just stay within your ability, and watch it grow. I've learned "all I know" from a few books and experimenting - AND by seeing my line as "those long flags" that small girl gymnasts run around swinging. As long as you keep the line in movement, you can do very funny things with it. Enjoy - it's meditative.!

Love seein monsters, beyond important to get them back in there to keep their spawning legacy alive. Beautiful 👊🏼🤙🏼🎣

Great job. The trash cleanup is great also. That may have been from anything, it’s important to remember it’s not always the land owner leaving trash in a stream, sometimes that washes down from roadways and other locations.

Makes me miserable every day when I go out. No matter where I go there is garbage everywhere. Mostly empty worm boxes and tackle plastic. Bottles, beer cans, chip bags. Humans are so shitty it makes me so mad. I try to clean up when I can but when you pack for shore fishing you don’t plan on hauling out a trash bag full of garbage.

This video is amazing on so many levels, I love that you kept all the emotions in from losing a fish. I have seen trout this big in Scotland in lochs and some larger rivers, but nothing this big in such a small creek. The messages about trash and fish responsibilty is most important, nobody likes to see crap floating around in such a beautiful surrounding. I live by the motto "leave it cleaner than you found it!" Thanks brother, you are role model for anglers and love your passion.

Great work, fishing, catching, releasing, and working to preserve the species. Also Major Kudos on your attention to leaving the area better than you found it! I don't understand how other visitors to these beautiful places can leave trash. Here in New England we have the same problems, even out in areas where you have to hike to get to. On every outing my fishing friends and I pick up beer cans and plastic energy drink bottles, even 2-3 miles from a road, left by people who make an effort to get to an "unspoiled place". We just have to keep trying to make a difference, I guess.

When I was little I was trout fishing with my dad and I had a huge brown on, I was so excited! But it came off and took my favorite lure with it. I was super bummed. I came back about 2 years later to the same hole and I snagged on some weeds underwater and I reeled the weeds in and on them was the same lure I almost got that huge brown with! It had all the same markings of it being used over the years on it.
I still have the lure, and I am never gonna loose it.

Beaut of a fish! I landed a not much smaller brown a couple of years ago and what a blast! And on 4lb test, what a fight! They might not have quite as spectacular a fight as bows do in terms of acrobatics, but between their sudden turns and runs and the general difficulty in inducing strikes, browns can be a tough fish to land! What a high when you get a beauty like that though.
Just remember if you do use light tackle and have big long battles everyone...be prepared to sit with that fish in the water for a while. That fish didnt wanna go anywhere for 10 minutes...but when it did it went strongly and I have no doubt it's still ravaging the shrimp populations of the brasdor lakes to this day!

Nice! Much better job on second fish. Let the reel do the work for sure. Two tips: 1) Keep the rod tip higher (more of a 90 degree angle from rod butt to outgoing line) to fight the fish with the more flexible top section. You are putting all the fight in the more stiff butt section of your rod where the top section is more of a shock absorber than the butt. Also, hide the net behind your back and quickly put it in the water. Don't dip it in the water in front of the fish. Flow it in the water from behind your back in the water always. They hate the net, so always hide it until the last second and keep in water. Nice job, bro!

@@hardmanfishing You will notice that the fish freaks out when it sees the net. Hide it behind your back until the fish is ready. Always keep it low in the water. When you waive it in the air over the fish they will freak out and make it harder to land.

There is a cutthroat trout where I fish that is that size... Last trip I hooked into him and he bent a new gamakatsu size 12 treble hook straight... I've hooked up on him 3 times and when he isn't bending hooks, he is tearing them out or breaking off the 8lb leader line.... all my gear is top notch, rigs tied perfect, and the fish makes me look like a fool... I will get him...

I had a “nemesis” relationship with a big cutty like this this summer. Finally figuring him out and catching him twice was an amazing thrill

@@alexe5951 3 more days and it will be cooled off enough to take another shot... I've beefed up all my rigs and thrown together some special ones... Got Gamatsu hooks on my Jakes Lures and did up some Tasmanian Devils... going 14lb floro leader... Also combined some big rooster tails with trout magnets... making a batch of my home made garlic good tonight.

Props for the trash clean up and the catch and release PSA at the end! We always take a trash bag and try to take what we can out.

Wow! That fight was fun to watch and can only imagine trying to land that brown. And thanks for picking up trash. Here you are fighting the trout of your life and I couldn't help occasionally glancing at the submerged can or plastic bottle. Unfortunately some people are incredibly lazy. But hey, what a trout!
