Humans are so shitty it makes me so mad. I try to clean up when I can but when you pack for shore fishing you don’t plan on hauling out a trash bag full of garbage.
That’s awesome!!! Congratulations……great job landing that fish by yourself. You hooked 3 huge fish in that hole and landed two….. You are NOT a bad fisherman…..on the contrary….lol. I’m impressed. I am so impressed that you guys cleared some of that trash……respect.
The video was great! The best part though was you had a great experience and then showed your appreciation and went back and cleaned up. Thank you for that. If we all carried out more than we brought in, it would sure clean up fast. Thanks again.
Inspirational, guys. One week in a tiny mountain creek catching beautiful native brook trout, the next catching a giant pb brown. Always superbly filmed in beautiful settings. The best fishing channel bar none.
Thanks for bringing us along on your awesome fishing experience. These small streams seem to be underestimated by many, however, you absolutely prove that giant trout can proliferate even in small streams. It would be extremely nice if you could explain your line/leader and fly setup for those like me that could learn more.
What I've always loved about you Hardmans is that you don't hold the fish out of the water for 20 minutes like some of the others do. Thanks for that & for all the gnarly videos!
I get mega pissed if I lose a 20” stockie bow, a mid 20 wild brown would be devastating and idk if I could keep fishing lol. Of course it’s not so bad when an even bigger fish/pb is in the same exact pool lol. Congrats on the big rainbrown 👌
You and me both! Losing a fish of that size is never fun. And rarely is there any fish in the run that is anywhere near that size. But as I've always said I'd rather be lucky than good! Thanks for watching man
Great stuff, honestly. This is my favorite fishing video Ive got it saved. Excellent spot, awesome fishing, and most of all excellent thoughtful content as usual
What an epic outing this was, and what an extraordinary video! Kudos on the PB trout - and deep admiration for the stream clean-up! Thanks so much for sharing with us!
This video is amazing on so many levels, I love that you kept all the emotions in from losing a fish. I have seen trout this big in Scotland in lochs and some larger rivers, but nothing this big in such a small creek. The messages about trash and fish responsibilty is most important, nobody likes to see crap floating around in such a beautiful surrounding. I live by the motto "leave it cleaner than you found it!" Thanks brother, you are role model for anglers and love your passion.
what an amazing catch. 44 years ago, in the the stream leading tp phantom ranch in the grand canyon, there were 5 trout together that were at least this big. never forgot that sight. you're a fine angler.
Great work, fishing, catching, releasing, and working to preserve the species. Also Major Kudos on your attention to leaving the area better than you found it! I don't understand how other visitors to these beautiful places can leave trash. Here in New England we have the same problems, even out in areas where you have to hike to get to. On every outing my fishing friends and I pick up beer cans and plastic energy drink bottles, even 2-3 miles from a road, left by people who make an effort to get to an "unspoiled place". We just have to keep trying to make a difference, I guess.
Oh man ,,, nothing I love like the feel of a 20 plus brown on the line. And to put it back so someone else can feel it thanks buddy makes a guy happier than to get to April.. really thanks
Hog brown bro! What size tippet? Thank you for practicing and preaching catch and release habits to help the population! And super props for picking up the trash! Y’all rock!

It’s not hard to tell how panicked you were during that fight, you kept repeating the fundamentals over and over, “keep that line tight, let the drag do the work” 😂 I do the same thing with big fish!! But that one makes mine seem like minnows, what an absolute tank!! Outstanding job man, such a cool moment to have captured on video!!
Honestly sometimes it didn't even make sense what Andrew was saying but It was cool to see how he was trying to talk himself through it. And it worked!! Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the video

Ehoa ( Maori for friend ) theres a place in New Zealands South Island that has heaps of 20Lb trout and even bigger salmon ! I lived near this river as a kid and fished it backk in the 60s -70s .
When I was little I was trout fishing with my dad and I had a huge brown on, I was so excited! But it came off and took my favorite lure with it. I was super bummed. I came back about 2 years later to the same hole and I snagged on some weeds underwater and I reeled the weeds in and on them was the same lure I almost got that huge brown with! It had all the same markings of it being used over the years on it. I still have the lure, and I am never gonna loose it.
Like your stewardship too. Don't forget to mention that the stream's health is a real indicator that such fine fish thrive there. Wherever it is, kudos to the DNR!!!
Fantastic Brown! WOW! Love watching you and your Bro. Have learned from you guys on streamer fishing. Love the Tanks you all pull out of these small creeks. Great attitude to get back after you broke that one off; you need to watch your boy Alex (Trippin On Trout), he is a master at using the levers of the rod butt to fight the fish...Hats off Bro! Great thing you did, cleaning up after others who don't care about the outdoors! Those were some great fish. Do they live in that stream all their lives or do they run to the G. Lakes?
Nice! Much better job on second fish. Let the reel do the work for sure. Two tips: 1) Keep the rod tip higher (more of a 90 degree angle from rod butt to outgoing line) to fight the fish with the more flexible top section. You are putting all the fight in the more stiff butt section of your rod where the top section is more of a shock absorber than the butt. Also, hide the net behind your back and quickly put it in the water. Don't dip it in the water in front of the fish. Flow it in the water from behind your back in the water always.
