I have a confession to make... If it wasn't for Colin (mad as a box of frogs) Furze.. I wouldn't have found your channel. I wasn't expecting much considering the fact that your content is 'just'.. Farming related. Well! Now I'm hooked 😂. I dare say that I'm equally as impressed with you as I am with Colin. Your skills are super impressive 👌
Interesting video tom. I used to take down and help to erected Dutch barns. When I was 16 years old back in 1986. In Somerset. Hard work but really enjoyed it. The sheds are still up. Bit weathered now. Just started watching your channel. I love how to explain everything. Great channel 👍🏻
I've seen so many good shed just pulled down and I think what a waste. There's one near Sevenoaks that was a Vauxhall dealership just demolished, would have made a great farm building. Guy I worked for when I was still at school took a second hand shed and that was over thirty years ago. He had a firm put it up but its been rented out all those years. All it cost a him was transporting it himself and the firm to put it up. Good stuff Tom.
Never been able to find a second hand shed like this for sale near me (regional Australia). Mind you, we have a fair collection of old domestic garages that we got for free. Good for keeping the smaller equipment out of the weather, and out of the bigger (read: expensive) sheds!
Was this shed for another farmer ? Were you acting as a contractor?? Great concise and informative video, plus great to save the main parts of the biulding.
Could you do a video on how the camera determines the length /width of the shed and how it squares it out please, it certainly beats string lines and tape measures corner to corner.
Well grafted on to new rootstock..! Amazing spans , clear across the barn.. snow loads may humiliate ...should panels in roof be very light and wall sections be heavy block or poured..?
Was it just 2 of you most of the time? How many days to take it down and up again? I’m only interested as we just done this. Only difference is we kept the roof and side tins.
Depends how much you can buy a second hand shed for. Usually if you can find a shed and Somebody wants it gone you can get it for free if you dismantle it
Another nice video, thanx :) are the Z perlins galvanized? and are the waxcones used because of making it easyer to get the bolts to fit the holes on the bottom plates? why not drill in expansion bolts instead? I am going to built myself, so just wondering? 😀
Great video Tom it’s always interesting watching your ones because they will be different plus hopefully it saved you some cash reusing a shed that’s still got year off life left in it 👏👏👍👍
@@Tomlamb980 all the gear and no idea, lol good going mate, built a similar sized shed for a client about 6 mths ago, our first shed build.. we are rural fencing contractors, looks good.

Yes did it for someone else

Proper job again Tom 👌
Top Job Tom. I know Farmer Ps was watching your last Shed build - could be a customer for you 😹
Cool to see what your building process so I can see how its different from the US. Great videos.
Thanks 👍
Tom Lamb, not just a Farmer!

Love these videos great job
Tom, do you ever sit down, 😂😂😂

2 sometimes 3
About 2 weeks total with moving it and re welding the legs
Are there much of a saving against a new shed? A lot of time involved dismantling old one.
Depends how much you can buy a second hand shed for.

There is now that new prices are crazy
Why concrete panels and not masconcrete walls between the pillars
Where do You get them cone things you are using in the bolt boxes. Fine shed. Well done.
Get them off line mine come from a shop
Called resource engineering supply’s.
There wax cones
Another nice video, thanx :) are the Z perlins galvanized? and are the waxcones used because of making it easyer to get the bolts to fit the holes on the bottom plates? why not drill in expansion bolts instead? I am going to built myself, so just wondering? 😀
Z are galvanised the point of the cones is to move the Stantion to where you want it so the concrete walls fit
I’ve seen builders just drilling and using expansion bolts. Then the plates are covered over with the concrete floor.
Great video Tom it’s always interesting watching your ones because they will be different plus hopefully it saved you some cash reusing a shed that’s still got year off life left in it 👏👏👍👍
I was wondering what the point of the cones was as well. Guessed it was probably to allow some movement.
What sort of cost are we talking to move a shed?
Some job, useful shed. Is the shed for yourself?
No somone up the road
Is there still a part 2 of this video coming out?
Never got around to it
Looking at prices for a 60x30 and the prices I’m getting for supply only are crazy
Is this building for you or someone else?
How many hours did it take to get this far Tom ?
Maybe week and half
@@Tomlamb980 that’s good going mate
Why u moving shed
It’s in the wrong place
Tom you sound like you know what your on about but in fact you really haven't a clue,, 😂 😂.. The guessing game.
