Thanks for the tips. I took your advice and created a playlist in premier pro. The exported video file sounds good but when I upload it to Streamyard its glitchy. Any suggestions on how to upload. Preparing for my fist livestream event and getting a little nervous.
Oh wow I didn't see this message so sorry for the delayed response. I did the same thing and saw some stuttering but once I plugged into the network router and got off of WiFi that went away.
I did something very similar recently, using copyright-free music on UA-cam and sharing my screen with that music video. But your way is a bit better. :)

FANTASTIC HELP!!! My question, so there are no surprises, what about copyright infringement? Facebook usually cuts music. Will I have any problems? I certainly hope not. If not, you are an awesome help!!!
Copyright is a Major consideration not just Facebook but any platform you stream too. Be sure you have rights to stream the music you select. Purchase from Epidemic sound, artist.io, and others
How do you adjust the volume on your background music video

When you do a Shared Video in StreamYard it adds a square at the bottom in the section where your camera and guests cameras appear. If you place your mouse in too of that you can adjust volume and scrub through the video.
Great video tutorial Kirk. I have a question for you which could I do the same thing with a video file with sound effects such as applause when I am bringing on a guest? I would download the sound effect from my epidemic sound account and follow your same steps that you outline in the video. What do you think?
Yes. I've done this as well... They are short videos and you would need to add them to the stream and switch to the other layout so no one sees it as described in the video. Only thing I'm not sure of is whether you can add multiple videos at the same time. I don't think you can so you would only be able to do one sound effect at a time. Great question... Might have to do a follow up video 🙂

Hello…………Great video…I’m hoping you can help me with a recent issue . I installed LoopBack following your video tutorial and it works fine for playing background music on my streamyard live-streams EXCEPT when I have panel guests. I can barely hear my guests over the music. (But on broadcast the audience can hear them fine) I even reduced the volume in LoopBack on Google chrome which is where my music is coming from (epidemic sound) aPLEASE ADVISE
Your audio (the audio you're hearing as the host ) isn't controlled by Loopback you have to adjust the volume of your music where ever you're playing it.

Hi I do a UA-cam show and I have an audio interface already but I want to add sound effects. Can you point me in a good direction of a machine that has effects and I could hook up an XRL mic? Preferably under 100 dollars. thanks
Thanks so much for your comment and support of the channel. There are some audio/sound boards that are in your price range that might do the job but I've never used them because they inherently have so many issues it makes it a waste if time and money. I can't recommend something I wouldn't use myself and nothing I would use is under 100 dollars you've priced yourself out of a real proper serious recommendation. Search for a RodeCaster Pro knock off and see what options you come up with. My recommendation would be the RodeCaster Pro itself.

Created it in Canva and Recorded the video in ECamm Live. I have videos detailing the steps if you're interested.
Could this be done with Basic Streamyard plan?

The lady singing is from my church she is one of our Praise and Worship leaders and this video was recorded by my team for Church Service. However, the song is called Let Praises Rise and it's by Myron Butler & Levi you can find it anywhere.
Is there a similar method for Restream?
Honestly haven't tested it but they do have local video playback just not sure if there's a layout that hides the video while allowing for the music to be heard
Music was you are going a radio show, Can you use things like Spotify or Itunes???
Based on what I showed in this video, No. This method only works with a Video.
If you use a program like Loopback or Blackhole then you have more options to play music. I must say that both platforms you mentioned mostly have copyrighted music and should NOT be used in a livestream. Thanks for the Comment!

Thanks so much for your comment and support of the channel. StreamYard now has built-in background music but the song list is very limited which makes this option still relevant for many streamyard users as you can see from the comments.
I've used this method multiple times to play back ground music with Zero issues its just unfortunate that the program I use to record this video has an effect on how it displays for the viewer. I'm sorry this hack doesn't work for you but I can assure you with the right computer and stable high speed internet it works perfectly.
How do you do group kareoke on Livestream
Unless each person on the live stream is playing their own music… Group karaoke is not possible, because your Singer will be out of sync with the music if they are not the ones playing it. Then there’s also the issue of echo and echo, cancellation and audio ducking and making karaoke very difficult on live stream.
Can i play karaoke with this?
I think it's possible but I haven't tried it.
