Awesome! I absolutely love to hear this kind of feedback! So glad it was helpful and I hope you find more helpful tips tricks hacks and techniques to level up your Livestream!
Great question Steve, the answer is yes, any video you have in the studio you can switch between them. I would be careful though because it only works or makes sense if you're doing a full screen switch. If you want to show you and the guest and then switch your camera and keep guest there that currently does not work but I'm told StreamYard is coming working in that feature.
Absolutely! I always recommend headphones and of course if you have a guest you would need to wear them to hear them. But yes headphones will definitely work. Thanks so much for your feedback and support!
Good info Kirk and presented very well..... How do you like that Sony A7? You have a very nice setup..... I did a actual live show the other night just with the bare minimum but I think it turned out ok..... Thanks for sharing your knowledge..... Keep pushing.....
Great video Kirk. Are your overlays and background templates available? I've used Streamyard for a while. Your overlays/bg would def level up my streams. Thanks.
Thanks for the comment and support. Unfortunately they aren't templates, I created and edit them for each use. I'm looking into creating some templates which would be available on my site or through the newsletter.
@@kirkrnugent alright. if you do make them available, even with your branding let me know. I use canva for all my graphics, but its frustrating making it, importing it into SY, than checking, realizing its off a bit (for where camera feeds sit), than rinse repeat. Its frustrating.
That is one of the biggest hurdles to making templates is not having any branding. Thanks for that info, definitely makes it easier. Also thanks so much for the Sub!
how were you able to switch screens without the layout changing. when streaming I try to automatically switch screens but it would add the both screen first and then i would remove one but you did it automatically.
I think what you're referring to is the solo button on each camera in the bottom of the studio you want to click on the solo button so essentially you would add all the cameras to the screen and then click solo on one and then when you want to switch to the other camera you click on solo on the other hope that makes sense. Let me know if I misunderstood your question
Hello, Thank You So Much @kirk. I'm still the same person from the question. I used the company's email the first time. I think you got my question, I would try it and give feedback. Thank You So Much, You rock!!!
Absolutely. That's the preferred method to take the load off of your computer. This video is for people who want additional Camera views without any extra equipment. Thanks so much for your comment and feedback!
Very helpful, thanks! Muted Chrome tab was really new to me! On Firefox its possible to mute a tab, which is not impacting other tabs, would that work as well? something to experiment with for me. thanks!
Yes thats absolutely possible but you will be at the mercy of your Wireless which may not be an issue depending on your setup. Great observation, thanks for sharing.
I Just watched the original and this video and Thank you for making this. As a crafting channel I need t be able to switch around angles like others do and you explained how so I could grasp it. Thank you so much.
Linda this is so Awesome! Thank you for your comment and feedback, this is literally why I do what I do. Excited for you and for the content you will put out.
This helped me so much. Excited to try this!! Tried practicing the other day and kept getting the echo, I think I understand it now. I’m a cooking channel and want to try to live stream, and I obviously would want a wide angle with me in it and a camera of what I am doing. Question does fb and UA-cam have cc during a live stream ? That is super important to me because my daughter is deaf and so our some of my viewers.
I know that Facebook does have CC during a livestream automatically. I believe with UA-cam you have to check an option. Unfortunately as the source you won't see the captions in real time. Thanks so much for your comment and support!

I like your style and good clear explanations. I make a small number of live shows, using a datavideo switcher, but want do more outside broadcasts using the laptop webcam and an external camera - a panasonic HC-V770 with a Camlink 4 capture device. You got me past the echo . . . 😀
Great tutorial. I thought you had to use obs with streamyard to have multiple cams. I have a camlink 4k but if I want to add my c920 Webcam I need another capture card I assume.
Thanks so much for your comment. To answer your question, No you don't need a capture card for a webcam (that won't work) you can add it directly by plugging in USB and using the method shown in the video.
I just want to use my iphone XS mounted in an Arkon stand shooting down to my desktop while I'm crafting. I could use my ipadpro camera on me for intro/outro. And/or I could use the camera on my imac. Will Streamyard let me just switch between those two cameras? I'd love to have a small picture in picture too, but I'll be happy with just switching...
As long as both of those cameras can be seen as a Webcam by your computer and Google Chrome you can use the method in this video to add both cameras to one StreamYard studio and be able to switch between them or have both on screen.
@@kirkrnugent Thanks for your response! That will be awesome. I'll sign up for the free StreamYard now and maybe upgrade later so I can have my logo, overlays, etc. (I guess I sign in to Streamyard on my imac and use it for controlling everything, then sign into Streamyard from my phone and see if it shows up as a webcam on my imac, right?) Thanks again!
Can I use my ATEM Mini Pro as a webcam in this program? Then I can switch cameras on the mixer and watch multi view on a second monitor? Great video! 👍🏾
Yes you can and I do this every weekend at church, great solution to take the load off of the computer. This solution is for this who don't have access to an Atem
@@kirkrnugent Thanks for answering. ATEM really is a nice tool to have, i use it at the Improve Theatre in Stockholm where I stream their performances. ✌🏾 Keep up the good work!
@@kirkrnugent Question; I get a small audio sync delay while streaming to Facebook from Streamyard.. Is there any way of changing any settings for that like in OBS?
@@benugdsen75 Unfortunately that option doesn't exist in StreamYard. If you use a Capture Card try sending your audio to the camera and see if that solves the issue.

I had that echo issue tonight when I was setting up my livestream. I will test the incognito feature out since I don’t have another speaker.
Hope what I shared can assist in eliminating the echo. Let me know what happens.
