If I want to make sure my hair will not revert when I straighten it I must absolutely use a flat iron and there must be silicone in my hair. With this I can go out even in the rain (with an umbrella) and my hair will not revert unless it gets touched by water. This never works with a blowout so I save those for non humid days. I wear my curls most of the time anyway, but sometimes you just want to rock that press 🙂
Can you do more styles? Like messy/undone waves & curls. I've learned so much about definition, the other curly things are a mystery. I love that you have been doing that some lately!
It's spring/summer in Houston, Texas! It's flooding right now & next week, it will be in the 90's ⛈️🌦🌤 These tips are just what I needed! Mell, with all the life saving knowledge as always❤
Thank goodness for you MELL you just saved me from a bad hair day - I would have tried the round brush blow dryer without a flat iron lol - and of course it’s raining and humid lol
I ❤ the two tips - with curly hair you must work on damp hair!! I die at the salons when they style my hair like it’s straight hair. And tip two- the flat iron! Thank you for the Truth. I can now trust every word you say 😌⭐️
This is the same.routine that works for my hair. I haven't used the number 6, but will add on my next wash day. Thank you for the professional confirmation. Love you much.
I have very different textures in my head. My "fringe" is super curly, like your curls, while the nape of my neck it's much more relaxed and wavy, and everything in between! Instead of trying to make the back of my hair curlier, i would love to learn how to create a more relaxed curl pattern all around, like waves or loose curls. i find that blow drying the front makes it too smooth and it looks like when we used to flat iron the bangs in 2008 - definitely not the look i'm going for :D i'd love a tutorial! thank you mel!
I like the Redken Extreme Anti Snap line. I use the heat protectant, which is also a repairing leave-in conditioner, and the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. I also sometimes use the Super Skinny Relaxing Balm before blow drying, and the serum before flat ironing. My hair has never been so soft and it took me half the time (including toddler interruptions lol). I try to keep the number of products I use to a minimum because otherwise I have to stop halfway through and clean my flat iron.
I’m going to try the before and after serum. I actually use 3 different heat protectants (now 4: Serum, oil, leave in conditioner and heat protectant and a conditioning heat protectant.) I usually put serum again just before I flat iron, but I’ll try this without the flat iron next time I go straight
MEL, could you make a video trying a thermal round brush??? I only see videos of people with straight hair using them for a blowout look, but I want to know how it will work on curly hair! 🙏
I would like to know how long does your hair last? One or two days? Also, I wondy if too many products weight down the hair. If that’s the case, then what would be the one or two only products to use? Thank you
My hair lasts the whole week and I’m not nearly as good as Mell at straightening my hair. It helps to twist it into space buns when sleeping to keep the curl (the straight curl lol)
Mel. Could you please pick up on the topic and hair tension damage. I think I have it but I am not quite sure how to remove it and get back my bouncy curls! There is very few videos on it and I would love to hear what you have to say about it
Why you don’t using Dyson airstrait for your blowout? Making an update. Also your hair grows little longer, did you wanna growing your hair back longer?
Hey Mel! Is there any other blow dryer brush that you recommend for curly/coily hair? I was looking at the t3 airebrush duo? I tried the lange but it’s damaging my hair and I do use heat protectant
Once upon a time In used to get a blowout and it would be silky smooth and last a week. Maybe im just getting older but it remains poofy and doesn't last
same!!! i’ve been trying to figure out all sorts of things on how to get that back but just can’t although my mother told me doing a doobie wrap will train the hair overtime to stay silky smooth
Last time I straightened my hair I didn’t protect it before and it took weeks for my curls to come back after some conditioning and treatments… I did bad… but that’s why I got you now I know better! 😊
How is hair getting moisture if you dry it? This has never made sense? Splain please? (I can see conditioning, but that doesn't hydrate if we hit it with a dryer)

This non curly and straight is perfection on you!
Verb ghost oil on damp hair for a blowout is chef's kiss
Thank you! Though I wonder if there's a cheaper dupe? 🤔
Saving this one in case I feel the urge of blowing out my hair 😊
Welcome back! You have been missed!!!
This is fantastic advice. Thank you SO much, Mell! You're truly the best.
You're the best!

Thank goodness for you MELL you just saved me from a bad hair day - I would have tried the round brush blow dryer without a flat iron lol - and of course it’s raining and humid lol
You have the best hair in the world. I love your hair. It’s perfect both curly and straight.
Thank you so much for your video. I was trying to blow-dry my hair straight right and got frustrated and quit. I'll try again tomorrow 😮💨😆

GIRL that dang canadian humidity has been working against me whenever I do a blowout on my curls… so this is perfect timing 🙌🥰
It's giving Natasha Romanoff vibes, I ❤ IT!!

Mell, you are the best! Thank you for your videos 💜
Saving this for future reference if I ever decide to blow out my hair! ❤Mell you are the best as always! Xoxoxo
Wow that’s such a beautiful blowout! Olaplex gives me the best results as well but The Dyson Airwrap is too expensive though 😭❤️
❤❤❤hello, hello my mane girl Mel. Great advice. I have learned so much from you. ❤❤❤
Do most of you watch UA-cam on your phone?! If so let us know what u think of this video format!❤
I watch on my phone but I don't care for this format 🤷♀️
@@deanna5671ok thanks for the feedback!
@@deanna5671agreed
I usually watch on my tablet because my eyes are old lol😂
I watch on both my phone and TV…. This format is fine as long as I get my dose of texture Thursday it’s all good for me ! U girls are the best ! 😊
MEL, could you make a video trying a thermal round brush??? I only see videos of people with straight hair using them for a blowout look, but I want to know how it will work on curly hair! 🙏
This hairstyle and color on you gives me Scarlett Johansson vibes! I have a question... I over did it with protein on my hair. How can I fix it?!
bravissima, devo imparare anch'io, non mi sembra cosi' difficile ❤❤
Exactly what I needed to watch! Thankyou ❤
Have you ever used a thermal heated rounded brush? (Not a blow try brush)
Wondering if it would work even better
I would like to know how long does your hair last? One or two days? Also, I wondy if too many products weight down the hair. If that’s the case, then what would be the one or two only products to use? Thank you

Love that hairstyle on you! ❤
What about rollers sets? They used to do it in the hair salon in Europe and central/South America to prep hair to be blown out with less heat…
Thank you from New Orleans!!
😂 I love the endings when we get to see your behind the scenes parts😂
I miss that Malibu c shampoo I had. But I gave it to my mom bc she dyes her hair often.
Thank you for this!! Getting the no. 9 serum! I love the no. 6! What is the hairspray?
As a native Texan and wavy curly I approve this style lol.
I just got my shark flex style so definitely following this when I do my blowout
Happy texture Thursday ❤
Happy texture Thursday Lynzi!❤
Why you don’t using Dyson airstrait for your blowout?
Making an update.
Also your hair grows little longer, did you wanna growing your hair back longer?
Your amazing!😂❤
Can you please teach us how to do the front part of curly hair, for me this is a big deal, thanks
Looks beautiful Mell!!
I can get the olaplex products here in the EU but I can't get the Verb oil , do you have an alternative?
Do you happen to have a video on how to cut your hair at home to defeat the dreaded triangle head shape?
How do you use the flat iron without flattening out all of the volume and waves you made with the airwrap?
dont use super high heat !
Is that really all you need for there to be no frizz? Can you put a gel in before straightening will that help with the frizz?
Thank you for this 💜💜✨
You're so welcome! ❤
Heat protectant first before the leave in/serum? Just want to double check if I got that correctly?
Do you have any recommendations for a lower priced Dyson Air Wrap alternative?
Hey Mel! Is there any other blow dryer brush that you recommend for curly/coily hair? I was looking at the t3 airebrush duo? I tried the lange but it’s damaging my hair and I do use heat protectant
Can you mix the Olaplex 6 & 9 together and apply them at the same time?
Once upon a time In used to get a blowout and it would be silky smooth and last a week. Maybe im just getting older but it remains poofy and doesn't last
same!!! i’ve been trying to figure out all sorts of things on how to get that back but just can’t although my mother told me doing a doobie wrap will train the hair overtime to stay silky smooth
Mel what do u think about the Evox premium products or any treatment u recommend...?My hair is super high porosity i need something
Do you have a link for the blow dryer brush that you’re using?
How did you turn your hair from the narrow Kerley to the Wavey?
Here for the tips, stay for the chaos 😂❤
Which aerosol hairspray did you use?
Mel, I have problems with my bang curls, they dont curl as much. I tried finger curling them but it doesent work :(
The link for the blow dryer doesn't work
I like all your video you so beautiful which color did you use in your hair so nice color
Last time I straightened my hair I didn’t protect it before and it took weeks for my curls to come back after some conditioning and treatments… I did bad… but that’s why I got you now I know better! 😊
My sister Jakayla also asked can you flip your hair like that
is it just me that if I put to much product and my hair becomes a little more heavy and shiny, than it won’t last a second straighten?
How is hair getting moisture if you dry it? This has never made sense? Splain please?
(I can see conditioning, but that doesn't hydrate if we hit it with a dryer)
so professional, such GLAMOUR, then....chaos at the end❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤
