Even if there was a good 1 amongst the group, he won't man up and call out the corruption he see and just turn a blind eye and help them cause if he doesn't, then he would be on his own and will be known as a traitor and they will force him out or he will get out himself. Log book was up to date last entry 45 minutes ago, all safety equipment was top notch, driver was well rested and alert. Ticketed for rust the size of a tic tack on my trailer tag. Thank the officer, promptly went to terminal and retired after 34 years of accident free driving over 3 million miles. You can go get your own groceries from now on. I'm done! DOT cannot get inside the cab of your truck unless they ask your permission first. I got pulled in at the scales in Ardmore,TN. about 8-9 years ago & the officer asked me if he could inspect inside my truck so I said I didn't have anything to hide so go ahead. After he finished I asked him "When you asked if you could look around in my truck what if I had said no?" He said "I would've tucked my tail between my legs & go back into the scale house." From they day on I decided if an officer ever asked to look inside my truck I will tell them no. Only way they can get in your truck is if you give them permission or they have a search warrant.

Up in Kentucky on 64 east bound last scale house pulled me in on a Sunday morning around eleven o’clock. Started a level two inspection. Told me to stay in truck. I was watching him as he went under my trailer. My truck started to rock back ion forth. I had put new air lines under my trailer on Friday & grommets. He took his pocket knife cutting the grommet out and pulling on the air line. Taking him about three minutes before he broke the line. I had my GoPro on my tractor trailer to keep a eye on tandem tires. I watched the whole episode and got out of my truck and he told me to get back in my truck. I was told by another trucker that Kentucky was bad about cutting air lines and backing off brakes. They are contract scale people. I called US MARSHALL’s office and a Marshall was their in twenty minutes. Showing him my GoPro footage. He let me drop my trailer and go get a splicer and shut down the scale house. I sent him the footage to his phone. . When I got home I had new line put back on and Kentucky paid for it plus the down time on my truck. Definitely came out ahead. SEMPER FIDELIS

The driver and his wife ran team, and the tire biter insisted he was going into the sleeper to inspect, refusing to allow the driver to wake his wife and make sure she was dressed. When he tried to get in the truck, the driver pulled him off the step and the fight was on.

I’m a car hauler and was parked at Mannheim West Palm taking my 10 when 4 1/2 hrs into my break, I was awakened by the loudest banging on my sleeper that I have ever heard. It was so hard, it activated the crash alert on my dash cam. It was a Florida State Trooper. He told me to move my truck or be towed. I told him and tried to show him that I was on my 10. He told me that he didn’t care… move it or be towed. When I asked him was that legal and requested his card, he treated to arrest me. I’ve been sleeping and hauling cars to and from that auction for over 15 years. It’s not right for Law Enforcement to make drivers drive when they are out of hours, I don’t care what anyone says.
