Danke für die guten Style-Tips
Danke dir, Bruno 🙌
I'm going to a wedding in 2 weeks so I'm gonna go with your look at 2:30.
White pants, blue shirt, blue blazer. I just have a doubt about the shoes....
Great video!
Thank you for watching. I hope you'll have a great time at the wedding.
Dark brown penny loafers in suede would work very well.
Great video, I own 2 linen trousers one sand from suitsupply and one beige from spier and Mackay I really like them and really like safari jackes too I don’t own an actual jacket but I have a safari brown shirt that I use as a jacket from suitsupply.and agree with you on the blend for sport jacket of silk linen wool it great I own one that’s made with that and I love it.
Great choice of trousers, Roy :)
Where's your sport jacket from in that blend?
This guide is what I need in this summer. 🙌🏻 thank you for this.
Thank you :)
What type and brand did you get your suede loafers from?
Thanks for watching.
Those are from Clarks. Not my first choice as a brand but sometimes they have some good deals.
A bit more pricey but better quality would be Meermin.
Great video - thanks for sharing. Could you please share the brand for the suede loafers you showed?
Thank you for watching.
Those ones were actually from Clarks, on sale for around $50.
They usually don't have the nicest shoes but sometimes they make some good ones.
A bit more pricey but also better quality would be Meermin (probably around $150).
What's a yacht loafer?
It's something between a regular suede loafer and boat shoes, so a loafer with a rubber sole and a very minimal design.
I would add Solardo suit to your list. I believe you should wear long pants in the city. Shorts only proper when you at the beach, a tropical/beach resort or at a pool part.
Great point, Walter :)
How does a Solaro suit feel in summer in your experience?
I haven't been able to try one yet myself.
Thanks Lukas for recommendation of Linen shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt. Their dress shirts are excellent from my past experience. I will try lien shirts from them.
Thank you, Jason.
I'm sure you'll like them a lot.
Spier & Mackay are also good for linen shirts and at a similar price, but I find their sizes more difficult for me personally.
@@Lukas_Schanderl Perfect! I will try Spier & Mackay as well. Appreciate the advice!
Gruss aus Florida 🌞 🦩🍊🐊👍
These are great for Florida living.
Grüße zurück 🙌
Perfekt :) Das kann ich mir vorstellen
Hi, I have always been struggling with having wide hips and a large butt I've been working out and built decent shoulder size so there is not not a huge different in size between my hips and shoulders anymore but I still look weird in summer so I'm always wearing hoodies in hot weather. I would really appreciate it if you could give some suggestion for summer clothings for men with wide hips and butt and if you can provide amazon links that would be great since I'm in a village and Amazon is the only option. Thank you so much !
Thank you for watching.
I know how you feel. I also have quite wide hips and butt, so I can not wear short-sleeved shirts in summer, for example.
I did a video where I spoke about this subject, but not about summer.
You can find it on my channel if you search for hips.
One of the best things you can do is to
1. Get high rise trousers + tuck in your shirts (This makes your upper body look much more powerful and hides the hips quite well)
2. Add another layer (Ideally a well-fitting sport jacket, which really helps to create more of a V-shape), but you can also use a linen overshirt or safari jacket or a chore jacket as an extra layer.
3. If you are just wearing long sleeved shirts, roll up the sleeves as this also makes your arms and shoulders appear wider than e.g. a short-sleeved shirt or polo would.
I hope this helps :)
I'm not sure how to find those clothes on Amazon, unfortunately, especially since Amazon has different offers in every country, but I hope the tips help.
Hi 👋 im in my sixties . When i was very young in the 1960s i wore peg leg narrow trousers. I like them , they are very smart more so than baggier trousers. Some good looks gere and your advice is correct .
Thank you :) I agree, I am not the biggest fan of the wide baggy trousers either.
You must have seen a lot of trends come and go over the years.
Thank you for sharing :)
@Lukas_Schanderl Yes , I wore flared trousers in the 1970s. 50 years ago in 1974 my hair was shoulder length and I wore platform shoes. In the 1980s I wore baggy trousers that tapered to the ankle , they had pleats in the front at the top. Stone wash denim was popular then. I wear peg leg style trousers now and it's cone back like it's 1964. I'm 67 so I can remember those times.
What brands can you suggest for nice linen pants? And which ones are you wearing in the video?
Thank you for watching.
Spier & Mackay are great for high quality linen trousers at a reasonable price.
Pini Parma, Natalino are also great or Proper Cloth / Hockerty for custom trousers.
The ones I have in the video are a mix of:
Hockerty (1:26)
A local tailor in Bangkok (1:18)
Proper Cloth (1:42)
Scotch & Soda (0:16)
Great video as usual. A question/suggestion for a video: which summer shoes/sneakers would go well with shorts? It's a topic that some people, including myself, might struggle
Thank you for watching :)
I did make a video about that last year, if you search for "shorts" on my channel. But I would add yacht loafers to the mix
Great stuff! Where is the blue safari jacket from if I may ask?
Thank you, Terje.
That one is from Gutteridge. Bought it during their summer sale.
Which brand would you recommend for seersucker sports coats, preferably in Europe and under 500€? Thx in advance 🙏
Thanks for watching, Stevie.
Interestingly, that's not an easy question to answer 😅
I just looked up the usual suspects but most don't offer any seersucker jackets or they are too pricey.
Suitsupply doesn't (only in custom and 600€+), Oliver Wicks has one custom option for around 500€, Gutteridge has 1 and would be the cheapest option but also the lowest quality, Spier & Mackay also has a few affordable ones but it's shipped from Canada.
I can’t wait , and I think if you will upload some shorts it will grow your channel.
Thank you, Roy.
I should really start doing that. What type of shorts would you find most interesting?
@@Lukas_Schanderlfor starters, you could just condense individual parts from longform videos; could leave a bit of an open ending to lead back towards the longer content. Something that also works well for fashion influencers like yourself (though perhaps I’m thinking more on the side of women’s fashion, idrk men’s as much) is lookbook shorts and “what I wear in a day/week/for this event” content.
Shorts work well with short, punchy topics, such as single item recommendations, “x will change your life,” and “never do x” vagueposting style videos. For the most part they can’t really reach the quality or revenue of longform so it’s often best to use them more as an advertising tool rather than “real” content per se. This kind of lifeless content creation for the sake of reach can lead to burnout, especially since consistent and frequent release is necessary, so for a channel like yours which I assume is a one person production, it might be best to stick with lead-back videos & previews rather than original shorts content.
Thank you for taking the time to write a detailed response.
Sounds like you know this quite well and you're right, just a one man show for now.
Thank you for the great suggestions :) Guess I'll have to find a sustainable way to add shorts/reels
do you iron your linen shirts? the CT shirts are quite wrinkled when they come out of the washing machine.
A little suggestion: iron them, but for better results, do it when slightly damp. Either immediately out of the washing machine, or spray them with tap water.
Thanks for watching, Randy.
I do iron them and it's actually quite easy in the end, but you need an iron with a steaming function and some water to spray on the shirts first.
Or as Simone mentioned, iron them when they are still a bit damp from the washing machine.
What you think about side adjusters trousers? Is it good?
I personally really like them.
No need to find a suitable belt and you can always add some extra room after a meal :)
Recommendations where to get affordable Safari Jackets?
I think the most affordable, especially on sale would be Gutteridge.
The navy one I am wearing is from Gutteridge. I think it was around 50 Euros on sale and is 100% linen.
The next best in terms of price would probably be Spier & Mackay or Suit Supply, but that's quite a jump already.
Why is it always a video that i need the most at best timing❤
Thank you, my friend 🙌
Awesome. The safari jacket is new to me. Its great that you are looking out for sales. 👍🏿 Side note: Video title says 9 items but you mention 7.
Thank you :) Just changed the title 😁
Safari jackets are fantastic for summer
Check out the polo shirts of iman gadzhi. Hate that guy but really like his polos.
Loro Piana Gift of Kings... prett clean
I agree. His polo shirts are great. I think Suit Supply offers them for around $80-10 (if I recall correctly)
Hi Lucas, great video. By way, once again I went to my favorite discount store in New York, which I mentioned to you before, and found a beautiful long sleeve polo shirt by a designer I am not familiar with- HANNES ROETHER. It’s the most original design and in Sangria color. Only $40. Are you familiar with that designer?
That's a great deal again :)
I hope I can visit that store one day.
I don't know the brand but it does sound German. I will look it up. Thank you
Switch the shorts for a Panama hat and you just discribed my summer wardrobe 😎
That's a classy looking hat for summer 👌😎
Good "stuff😊❤🎉💯."
Thank you, Sean :)
I've found it very difficult to find real linen products online. Usually they are advertised as linen or 100% linen and then when you check the label after the product arrives it may have 10% linen or none at all.
Thanks for watching, Christopher.
I agree that can be quite common with many bigger retailers.
With Charles Tyrwhitt, the shirts are made of 100% linen and with brands like Spier & Mackay, Pini Parma or even most of Gutteridge, the same is true.
What about Quiet Luxury when it's really hot all the spring/summer?
Thanks for watching.
In that case, I'd usually go for linen shorts or long linen trousers + linen shirts to keep cool and still look good.
No layering unfortunately.
@@Lukas_Schanderl thanks!
I don’t know why I can’t reply to you I answer and then the comment disappear and for your question the jacket in that blend is from pini Parma ,
Oeh that must be a nice one then. Which color?
Strange 🤔 Somehow UA-cam keeps putting your comment replies in spam
@@Lukas_Schanderl beige and its double breasted.
Excellent choice 👌
@@Lukas_Schanderlthanks man I wanted it to be a summer jacket because I live in a hot climate it actually my first ever blazer I want to buy another one in like 2 months from lightweight wool or even tropical wool that I can use for 3 season except summer in navy or brown from probably blugiallo or even drakes but I’m not sure because drakes is more expensive. Do you have maybe another place to recommend me?
I have the same blend from Pini Parma, the light blue herringbone. Highly recommend it as well 👌🏻
summary guy ?
What do you mean, Emilio?
@@Lukas_Schanderl a recap of the points in the video
Brother we getting 50°C nowadays
Oh man. I cannot even imagine that weather 😅
I guess you can only dress like this indoors when the AC is on full blast, right?
@@Lukas_Schanderl of course no other way😭
Tuck in your shirts. Quiet t luxury and old money and it is styles, quiet luxury do not follow trends, like having your shirt untucked. It also looks very feminine.
Thanks for watching.
I agree that it looks better tucked in, but there is a time and place for everything I think.
