WOW just Wow I'm ecstatic to find this information !! :) have had many allergies my whole life - started at 6 months when my Mom put me on Raw cows milk :( Before that I was on store bought formula . For years I had food & air born allergies . Found out I have histamine intolerance & oral allergy syndrome . All this time I wondered why I also had stomach issues .. I've been to Numerous allergy Dr's & None ever mentioned my allergies could cause stomach problems too !! Now I have more research ahead of me to Fix my stomach issues . Been doing my best to stay away from foods & other substances that cause me problems .... Great Video Thank You !!
I've been plagued by that stuffy nose response since adolescence. Over the last 6 months delving into histamine intolerance I've been pretty overwhelmed so thank you very much for putting this conversation up. The compliment paid to Dr Heald at the start is apt.
I'm originally from Calgary, and I've sent several people Dr. Heald's contact details along with a link to this interview. I can't imagine anyone living in Calgary who wouldn't want Dr. Heald as his or her ND. Great interview Mike.
Thanks for the great info. Just for those that heard eggs are embryos!Eggs are not. Chickens lay eggs daily even without a rooster there to mate and fertilize the egg. Minor clarification.
I believe I’m suffering from this. Adult onset asthma then AR then Nadal polyps now food allergies affecting my breathing extremely. I’m scared and frustrated with standard drs so I’ve found a naturopath who deals with this issue /gut n hormones. I’m 🙏🙏🙏 for relief n hope there’s a cure!
At approx 27 minutes Dr. Heald mentioned that the stuffy nose can be a sign of histamine release in the morning and when eating foods. Why does histamine get released in the morning??
Could also be the case that your system is trying to start wake up and make you rdy for the day. A lot of stress hormones have their peak in the morning because of that. Could also explain the correlation that early in the morning, is the most typical time to have a heart attack or other coronary complications
I've always found preparing real food and cooking therapeutic. Always home cooked a majority of the time. Drinking wine while eating helps to break down the proteins one of the reasons that the mediterranean diet is so successful. I've cut out potatoes in the last few months and I've shed a stone in weight. I walk first thing in the morning with my dog, when we get back I have breakfast, Greek yogurt with some ground seeds and nuts most days, sometimes I will have some smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast. I swim 3-4 times a week then I swim. On my return I have my main meal of the day prior to sunset. Then I go for another walk with the dog. I don't eat bread often, I'm not allergic to bread, not allergic to gluten, I'm allergic to yeast in bread, so no more than 3 or 4 slices a week and usually toasted. I've never eaten trans fats. Histamine is definitely an issue for my skin, so I am looking at what I eat that could cause an histamine overload, although the skin issue is due to a mutated gene due to cuts in childhood. The Human Genome Project was excellent at identifying what was causing skin issues and allergies.

Where can we order good DAO in Canada? Here in Qc the natural food stores and even my Naturopath don’t know what it is ! Thanks for this amazing interview 🙏🏽
Interesting! Thank you for sharing this! So crazy that packaged foods, and leftovers fall into this category of histamines. Absolutely amazing! And also how high cortisol also plays a role in preventing healing.
Very informative, but I feel overwhelmed since everything I eat causes a histamine response. I have Celiac Disease, and cannot tolerate diary in any form. I try to heal my leaky gut but find that most of the healthy foods create histamine. I feel there are no good choices for. me I react to everything! And on top of that I can't sleep! 😓
Don't keep living in this vicious cycle. The longer you live, the worse you'll get. Find ways to exercise, eat well and deeply relax. You need good nutrition and probably genetic testing to see what's not working in a normal way. So far, I've only tested the MTHFR gene and found a mutation that affects my body's ability to methylate and can't handle folate as folic acid, so I have toxin overload in my 60s. Critical information to have. I plan to test the rest. Allergy testing only gives you a superficial picture. You need to find underlying cause. Look at your genes and get help from a really good Naturopath, please. Do take care as what you do today will greatly affect your future.
lynnann137 I'm in the same boat as you. I switched to eating organic and stopped taking any and all medications I was on. There's gluten free dairy free probiotics that are not going to contribute to your histamine intolerance. Hi There! We have the same problem with foods. I suffer itchy bumps on my palm, cracks around my fingers when i eat those high histamine foods like chocolates, dairy products and seafoods.takes a monty to heal
So although this is an interesting video, I clicked on it to hear about histamine intolerance. Only now, 25 minutes in, are we getting to hear about that... 🙄
@Holistic-Healing UK same here. Did she even talk about what to do if you have histamine intolerance?? I couldn't watch the video because it has nothing to do with what the title says.
I saw an allergist today. I'm having a lot of stomach pain and my naturopath thinks it's allergies. I was referred to the allergist for skin swelling and hives. She told me I have dermatographism. Could this be related to food allergies? I'm seeing my naturopath again in a few weeks.

Me to. I stay away. Drs are an joke now. I have begged for help and want to learn nothing just drugs. Even the drugs hurt. So Back to utube. Self research. Learning about DAO its kidney supplements. Trying them. Nutrition yeast non fortified for Bs , potassium citrate, magnesium, epsom salt foot soaks. I suffer alot. Ugh
Food intolerances don’t show on food allergy tests. There are lots of different tests for good intolerances, but personal testimony is always the most accurate! Tests give false positives as well.
Is she saying that potatoes could be a problem for people with histamine issues? I thought potatoes an rice are the only safe foods for people with histamine issues while healing? (Ofcourse except you have a potatoe sensitivity which is not connected to histamine).
So my blood pressure actually drops and I get super dizzy and feel like I'm dying. My joints hurt and I can feel lots of inflammation in my body. I do have allergies to things like lemon, strawberries and vinegar and I will break out in hive. Things like bananas based smoothies will give me sinus issues and headaches. It will make my nose rose. I haven't actually had issues with avocados or lentils... so that's kinda weird because they say I should but I don't ans I know others with histamine intolerances who have no reaction to those as well. I do have problem with most other high histamine foods and I get a range of symptoms from hives to sinus drainage.

Hey all! does anyone have a reaction to beef tallow? I am narrowing it down but my nose gets runny and itchy and sneezy after certain foods. I am starting to thing beef tallow may be another culprit
So is she saying that self fairmented kombucha is oaky? Or that kombucha already adds to your histamine bucket so you should add some more by drinking beer? I am not a native english speaker please help.
I think she meant you might want to choose between kombucha or beer, because both of those have high histamines. But really, both should probably be avoided if you’re really sensitive to histamines.
It seems hard to know what's not good for you. I mean as far as I know, I can eat eggs with no problem, but what do I know? I do tend to avoid nuts and such unless they're pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, flax seed, and I try to limit my Brazil nuts. I sometimes envy those who can eat everything. I once could until I went to Egypt and got bad bacteria plus food poisoning. I need to somehow reverse that.
Don't understand how my food allergies\intolerance\sensitivities causes my blood pressure to spike so high. I thought food allergies sappose to cause hypotension?
You may know the answer by now (3years on!) but I read that "Histamine itself lowers blood pressure in most cases. However, histamine also triggers the release of other substances in the body that affect blood pressure, most importantly adrenaline, which raises blood pressure". This histamine palava is just sooo complicated and I don't think anyone has really fathomed it all yet.
Because they drink water with deuterium and lots of carbs with deuterium... instead of low deuterium animal fats they dehydrate themselves to death in a cycle of drinking more loosing more and killing mitochondria in between
Why does all the pottassium rich foods have histamine?? Im trying to increase my potassium levels yet im suspicious i might be slightly intolerant to histamines...
Trying to research some DAOs and already overwhelmed - many contain shellac and corn starch and I'm not sure if that's ok - any that you guys recommend?
Hi there, There's only two places to get the raw material in the US that I"m aware of: XYMOGEN and Seeking Health. The corn starch is to stabilize the enzyme and is from non-GMO corn; it's made in Austria. I've had several conversations with the developers of the material in Austria, it's a pretty clean product! Mike
I started buying Xymogen brand from my local Compounding Pharmacy in the USA after DAOsin was discontinued. I don't know if DAOsin is being reformulated or what. Xymogen is more expensive, but it's more potent and bigger bottle too. I like it.
Sciotec has always been the only worldwide producer of the DAO enzyme. In the past it was sold under several different brand names including Histame, Xymogen, and Seeking Health. As of 2017, the only product that contains the DAO enzyme in the United States is Umbrellux DAO. Daosin is the brand name in Europe and is identical to Umbrellux DAO. They contain 10,000 HDU of DAO enzyme.

Sucks that the new age yoga has to always come in to healing . When God that created you is who you should be meditating to . Not this satanic opening to spirits that will one day show themselves. Sad the end results years later of allowing spirits sneak in the temple if God .
Wth. Lol. You clearly have NO CLUE what meditation is. Has NOTHING to do with religion....It's about teaching your brain To focus on relaxing instead of constant over thinking and multitasking....
People don't understand that yoga is a religion, and it is made to open you your mind and soul with unnatural poses and emptying of the mind to invite in multiple gods. People are ignorant of prayer and faith in God, thinking their new age religion is neither a religion nor a form of evil worshiping. Many yoga practicers have left the field realizing they were neither getting better, and in some cases were becoming disassortative disorders. It is unfortunate many in the Natural Path health field go the route of yoga. It is deceptive and very typical of these types. Very left leaning, mellow, feel-good types are susceptible of this. They have Open personalities making them less suspect of these new age practices. Plus, this is Canada so...

Higher Yoga from Himalayas is more difficult, but the information you mention is correct. I am glad you mentioned Sulfites & Sulfates & Sorbate best is to avoid at any cost . We must watch what we eat in the west, Europe and especially Austria has a clean food standards best in the world. We Yogis from Himalayas have totally different approach to health & Histamine intolerance. Histamine is accumulating in the body & recommend is extra DAO & HNMT whatever other enzyme, so eating kidney is OK. Yogis have a cleaning techniques that simply excrete too much of Histamine. Also low - clean salt is a totally different from Western idiotic medical approach. Yogis intake a huge amount of CLEAN salt. We have a lot of different ways of life, often very contradictory to western orthodox medical approach. Hatha yoga we call monkey business and it is a waste of time . Cardiovascular exercise is 1000+ time better than any Asana that is a waist of time. Clean your gut & eat more GLUTEN. .....😂😂😂 Add some ConcenTrace minerals in a distilled water and some fresh or frozen Cranberries & we gonna live 100 years + . 😊😊

There are a few things for lessening leaky gut Have a whole food, nutrient-rich diet that avoids foods which irritate your gut Make sure your digestion is working: You can eat an idea diet, but if you aren’t digesting food appropriately, it is not going to help. Find and remove underlying food sensitivities - eliminate a suspected food for a period of time Find ways to reduce and eliminate stress:eg Prayer, meditation, yoga, adequate sleep, and acupuncture Consume gut healing foods and nutrients Balance the gut flora by including appropriate amounts of fermented foods in your diet each day. Find and eliminate gastrointestinal infections Try the use of gut-irritating medications: Reduce exposure to environmental toxins Make sure you have enough sleep and avoid overtraining which are a form of stress to your body. (I read these and why they work from Richala Remedy System site )

Mike, I really miss these videos. Looking forward to you doing video interviews again.
Great Video Thank You !!
sharpie. nails are i
Also migraines, joint problems.
Any updates? How did you recover
it wasn't raw milk it was the formula and high oxalate and Deuterium diet.
Deb is coherent and intelligent.
This video is 3+ years old.. Curious to know what has helped people with this issue
Thanks for the great info. Just for those that heard eggs are embryos!Eggs are not. Chickens lay eggs daily even without a rooster there to mate and fertilize the egg. Minor clarification.
Really? Interesting
Yes! I had no idea until I started raising my own chickens so I could know my egg were coming from happy, healthy and loved pet chickens!
Fertilized eggs are healthier.
You mean people don’t know that??? You all need to get closer to your food sources.
Could be a parthenogenic animal ( self conception)
We women used to do that and will again.
Thank you, just listening to your guys was calming for me.
Wow, that's wonderful. Thanks for that feedback! Glad you enjoyed.
What a great conversation. This is one I missed previously. Good to see you in Calgary, Mike!
Graduate Fitness it's from the Foods and drink that you had the night before.
Could also be the case that your system is trying to start wake up and make you rdy for the day. A lot of stress hormones have their peak in the morning because of that. Could also explain the correlation that early in the morning, is the most typical time to have a heart attack or other coronary complications
Can happen w something as simple as a change in temperature. Or hormone levels. And they both change when you wake up. Before you eat anything
Stress.....not sleeping, not eating properly or timely for type of work, overworked/labor intensive job, not enough rest
Well said, Dianerm!
Thank you,
Mike
Trauma like long term abuse via family members, spouse, etc.
Histamine intolerance/sensitivities connected to Eosinophilic Esophagitis?
Histamine intolerence is real...peanuts, fermented food has caused havoc on my body
Great work Deb Heald....very clear and to the point 😊
Dairy, eggs and corn cause havoc for me

One of the best interviews ever !
Such a great talk - I recently found your channel, thank you for your content!

(no matter the taste !). Use all kind of veg but try not to use night shades for now. My swollen sinus is now going away day by day, I can breathe better. I am going to continue to use green juices and avoid the trigger foods in my diet for a while, but now searching for DAO supplements to see if that helps.
you are loading these oxalates to max don't you
Where can we order good DAO in Canada?
I invite you to check out the list of probiotics here:
www.optibacprobiotics.co.uk/shop/for-every-day-max
I don't buy my probiotics there but they just explain well and list the probiotics for people like us. It's a great place to start from. Hope this helps x
lynnann137 there are many healthy, and organic, health foods that are low histamine. Many ways to find that online, and even a chef on UA-cam who does a healthy low histamine approach! Stay optimistic!
You should read "Dirty Genes" by Dr. Ben Lynch. Such amazing information and eye opener. DAO gene and MTHFR relation to histamine very well explained and how to deal with it!
lynnann137 I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you improve I also have problems with my gut. Can be very overwhelming...

just Chicken?
Great list. I can't eat these either. Not even decaf coffer or potatoes
Hi There! You should read the book Plant Paradox by Dr. Steven Gundry. He gives a full diet plan on foods that don't contain lectins. It is an excellent read.
+Tea and Books
Well, like I said above, we are going to be *EXTINCT* soon!!!
Hi There! We have the same problem with foods. I suffer itchy bumps on my palm, cracks around my fingers when i eat those high histamine foods like chocolates, dairy products and seafoods.takes a monty to heal
Do prolonged water only fast. It will help to reset your immune system.
Loved this one!!! so informative!
I've had a cough that wouldn't go away for a month, took one antihistamine tablet and it stopped in 30 minutes.
That was way tooooo funny! I rolled out of my chair from laughing!!! Thanks!!!
How are you doing today? I have the same thing, and still looking for info.
This is so interesting! I'm surprised I've never heard about the connection between IgA and IgG in relation to leaky gut! So glad I discovered your channel, really great interviews you're doing
Thanks so much, Adriana!
I too thought that connection between gut immunity, IgA and IgG was fascinating.

+High Intensity Health Thanks!
I have adverse allergic reactions to corn and sunflower seeds and intolerance to barley, wheat, milk and eggs. I got the skin prick test and the igA but they're all negative. What do you expect is happening?
Those tests don't work. Fasting heals the gut.
Me to. I stay away. Drs are an joke now. I have begged for help and want to learn nothing just drugs. Even the drugs hurt. So Back to utube. Self research. I had fish that was in fridge over night and wow got hit supper hard 3 rd day now. So learned freeze eat refreeze no letting food set out anymore. Also learned dehydration also makes it worse working on that. Already carnivore can't take anymore food away. Tried kefir about died. Ugh thing to heal my gut is really hard. Can't do any dairy eggs. Learning about DAO its kidney supplements. Trying them. Nutrition yeast non fortified for Bs , potassium citrate, magnesium, epsom salt foot soaks. I suffer alot. Ugh
add 2 slices of organic fresh ginger into the mix and blend, it could help you as well.
Food intolerances don’t show on food allergy tests. There are lots of different tests for good intolerances, but personal testimony is always the most accurate! Tests give false positives as well.
Seriously fantastic
Is she saying that potatoes could be a problem for people with histamine issues? I thought potatoes an rice are the only safe foods for people with histamine issues while healing? (Ofcourse except you have a potatoe sensitivity which is not connected to histamine).
potatoes has Lectin

I love eggplant! There is soo much one can do if you want. And it is so easy to grow.
Got an eggplant hanging for ya Irene
Eggplants are high histamine.
Histamine made me allergic to sauerkraut of all things. 😕

Same here my friend you’re not alone!
Histamine has also a cause. Its either a leaky gut or sibo. If you heal that you might be able to eat sauerkraut again.
@@Viv8ldi I eat a different brand now and I'm fine.. Just weird.

What DAO supplement do u recommend and where can u get in Canada?
Colleen Power i use daosin
i ate beans today and omg , so much HISTAMINE BABY! I Can feel my blood pressure rising !
@@valkyriesanborn189 histamine and oxalates is one story
The stuffy nose you get from histamine is dry stuffy nose? Or it has mucus?
Put some earplugs and some blindfolds on, sit still or lay down. It's nearly as good as those sensory deprivation tanks and gets you to a meditative zone in 1minute with no effort :)
I'm gonna try this.

amazing ,informative interview ... thank you for sharing so much quality advice. Does Ms. Heald have an Instagram account? thank you
So is she saying that self fairmented kombucha is oaky? Or that kombucha already adds to your histamine bucket so you should add some more by drinking beer? I am not a native english speaker please help.
I think she meant you might want to choose between kombucha or beer, because both of those have high histamines. But really, both should probably be avoided if you’re really sensitive to histamines.
I have read that kombucha has histamines.
can't we cleanse histamine out of body, periodically.
Yes, using DAI, which they talk about briefly
Get a DAO supplement
It seems hard to know what's not good for you. I mean as far as I know, I can eat eggs with no problem, but what do I know? I do tend to avoid nuts and such unless they're pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, flax seed, and I try to limit my Brazil nuts. I sometimes envy those who can eat everything. I once could until I went to Egypt and got bad bacteria plus food poisoning. I need to somehow reverse that.
it dwells in these oxalate stores
Don't understand how my food allergies\intolerance\sensitivities causes my blood pressure to spike so high. I thought food allergies sappose to cause hypotension?
Histamine in the food causes blood pressure to rise.
What's a good dao supplement?
Leilani, Umbrellux DAO is the only DAO enzyme licensed to be sold in the United States. The brand name in Europe is Daosin.
I wish so much that she was my doctor! Feel like I'd stop feeling so ill haha
Great video , is urticaria a histamine problem ?
yes
Yep
Hot yoga also loses trace minerals. Joel Wallach says heavy sweating is a major cause of death among athletes.
Have you looked into using moringa for potassium?
What kind of tape do you use to tape mouth shut at night ?
Trying to research some DAOs and already overwhelmed - many contain shellac and corn starch and I'm not sure if that's ok - any that you guys recommend?
Hi there,
There's only two places to get the raw material in the US that I"m aware of: XYMOGEN and Seeking Health. The corn starch is to stabilize the enzyme and is from non-GMO corn; it's made in Austria.
I've had several conversations with the developers of the material in Austria, it's a pretty clean product!
Mike
I picked up the Xymogen - I used it on my birthday weekend for foods I am normally very sensitive to - so far so good!
Holly Hansen ~ ~ Thank you. This explains what happened. They need to expand and let more people have access to DAO again. It's not fair.
great information mike. like all ways
Thanks for that, Shai!
Appreciate you tuning in,
MIke
Hello, do you know of any DAO supplement that is not pork based? I am allergic to pork and cannot take all the current ones on the market. :(
pork from shop has azotans and azotines after frying thing like that get toxic look for a fresh raw uncured stuff normally pork is ok even despite omega6 at least if you have any omega3 in diet ss well.
Emily E It seems you have no clue .
LB, your God is too small
Karen Hegarty You don’t know MY God . But one day you will !
Is a DAO Enzyme Supplement plant based from beans and lentis okay?
it doesn't hurt you much if you ask
Could never meditate it would stress me out knowing I would have to do that
Almost everything I eat gives me a stuffy nose. One reason I've tried carnivore a few times but with that I get bile acid diarrhea or maybe histamine reaction to meat. I don't know.
When im reactive that happens too. I have to lower my overall histamine levels and then it disappears
I have the same issues. There's a relatively new subreddit for carnivores with histamine intolerance. I'm hoping the community can grow and get help find a somewhat universal solution.
So she is taking 500mg of Curcumine daily. Can I do that to when I have a leaky gut and /or histamine issues?
I’m doing same, Now discovered , that it’s too high, coz it’s also part of oxalate family.. Total oxalates should only be 150mg per Day... So new Dilemma... Coz been taking for Allergies to Asprin etc..
I can't seem to add this to my saved videos. Any suggestions?

Clean your gut & eat more GLUTEN. .....😂😂😂

There are a few things for lessening leaky gut
Have a whole food, nutrient-rich diet that avoids foods which irritate your gut
Make sure your digestion is working: You can eat an idea diet, but if you aren’t digesting food appropriately, it is not going to help.
Find and remove underlying food sensitivities - eliminate a suspected food for a period of time
Find ways to reduce and eliminate stress:eg Prayer, meditation, yoga, adequate sleep, and acupuncture
Consume gut healing foods and nutrients
Balance the gut flora by including appropriate amounts of fermented foods in your diet each day.
Find and eliminate gastrointestinal infections
Try the use of gut-irritating medications:
Reduce exposure to environmental toxins
Make sure you have enough sleep and avoid overtraining which are a form of stress to your body.
