I was going insane at the amount of times the guest was interrupted.. I almost left the video.. I basically did after 10 mins I couldn’t take it anymore. and this was one of the greatest videos I’ve ever watched regarding information and health and the whole vit D thing.. amazing guest. I understand he was just curious about points he wanted to know more of.. but man you just gotta let the guest get there naturally.. anyway thanks for bringing him on.

I actually had to pause to take breaks because it was so painful to listen to the interruptions and feel Dr. Gould’s flow be abruptly stopped. Tom, we all are here because of your knowledge and gifts and your desire to connect us to truths. We are all aware of how smart YOU are. But maybe not fully aware and clearly we do not know enough about your personal struggle, especially that with the health of your wife. For those of us that are loyal pupils and truly appreciate YOU, will you consider doing a video of just you, perhaps another of you and your wife, where you highlight things you have learned or overcame, maybe talk about the people who’ve been the greatest influence on you? I realize that is probably a lot to fit in one video, so maybe just even like once a month do a 10 minute monologue? I’ve been in your virtual classroom for years now and I haven’t seen all of your videos, but perhaps for some of us late comers or even your loyalists, we do need an opportunity to learn more about you and your life and family sometime. Appreciate you so much, please please please do not take these comments personally. You’re sharing comes from a need to be heard yourself and you have such a tremendous base of people who look to you, even resort to you for answers and we would absolutely love to hear more of just your and your family’s story sometime.

I deeply appreciate you having Dr. Gould on in order to share this information! This interview contained an extraordinary amount of helpful information. I could go on and on with the health issues, other than what I previously addressed, but I won't. I will be making considerable changes in my life based on this information. I would like to address what many others have addressed below. I have noticed in all of your conversations with guests that you interrupt them when they're speaking. It's obvious you don't do it intentionally. I used to interrupt people constantly. When I became aware of what I was doing and why I was doing it I was able to stop. My ex-husband constantly degraded me and tried to make me feel like what I was saying was not important. Anytime I tried to tell him something he would tell me I was taking too long and completely dismissed whatever I was saying. We all have different reasons for doing it. I taught myself a decent way of fixing the issue I had in cutting people off. Whenever I thought of something I wanted to say or ask the person speaking I would repeat a key word over and over in my head while they finished speaking that way I would still remember what I was going to say. That allowed me to give them the respect they deserved while they were speaking and allowed me the self-respect of being more considerate while still addressing my need to be heard as well. I wanted to address this issue for anyone who has difficulty with interrupting or being interrupted because I feel we should all learn from each other! I thoroughly enjoy listening to you and your guests and deeply appreciate all you do! Blessings of love and light to all!🙏🏼💜🙏🏼💙🙏🏼🧡🙏🏼💛💚🙏🏼

I can attest to the power of vitamin D.
For almost 10 years I suffered from extreme exhaustion, terrible aches in my muscles and joints, brain fog, and insomnia.
It got to the point where I just slept all day. But I didn't sleep well -- I tossed and turned and was always achy and in pain.
My doctor ran a few tests on my thyroid, and on this that and the other, and then told me everything was fine. We went through this pattern for a few years.
I switched doctors but it was all just the same -- run a few tests, and determine everything was okay.
This went on for years. I felt like I was dying of some bizarre autoimmune disease -- my body was just falling apart. I had weird rashes, I was sweaty all the time, I had symptoms of IBS, and my hair was falling out. I was getting weaker and weaker and more and more tired.
After repeatedly bringing up all these issues to my doctor and having my doctor just run the same few tests and then tell me everything was fine, one day I told her that I was really really concerned that there was something very wrong and she had to do other tests because there was definitely something very wrong.
She opened the top drawer of her desk and handed me a card and referred me to a psychiatrist. She decided I probably had bipolar disorder or severe depression.
Since I was already under treatment with a very competent therapist and psychiatrist for ADHD and anxiety, I found my doctor's suggestion that I was severely mentally ill very irritating and upsetting.
I did a lot of research and found a new very qualified doctor. When I described my symptoms to her, the very first thing that came to her mind was a vitamin D deficiency.
I tested positive for vitamin D deficiency, and was given a mega dose.
The very next day after my first mega dose, BLAM, I was a new person -- I was myself again.
It's frustrating to realize that I suffered for years for nothing just because most doctors don't take vitamin deficiencies seriously!

I relate to your story so much! It's infuriating that doctors so often jump to the conclusion that we are lying or have psychological issues when we complain about things they can't "figure out". They should know that noone knows our bodies better than we know ourselves. I think doctors are slowly evolving to be more open minded but unfortunately it's still few and far between.

Joel, thank you for sharing your perspective, it was very enlightening and in line with my observations and experiences with the medical industry over the years.

@roodles it almost makes me wonder if Tom said to him beforehand “Ok I apologize in advance but for this interview I am gonna switch gears and play the novice hyper skeptical devil’s advocate!!”

Tom please stop interrupting your guests! There are so many conversations where I wish I knew what they were saying but you go off on questions that do not matter. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Tuned on to hear Vit D. Had to cut out after 5 min of unrelated info. This is why I stopped listening to these podcasts a long time ago. Let the guest speak Tom.

I don’t know if it’s because of this disconnected remote interview style that is contributing to Tom being like this, but it is extremely annoying. He should look back and learn from his older studio interviews. He just seems really impatient and not really allowing the interviews to just flow and turning things around to himself far too often, ‘ I heard this, I heard that, this relates to something I did etc.’ Just stop!

So much medical science was explained by Dr. Gould. I should repeat several times. Much thanks to Dr. Gould and Tom for asking the right questions in behalf of the audience.

This is such great information, the only objection is that this doctor gets interrupted too much by you. Not that your questions are not really good questions, just that the interview has to be set up in a way that those questions come at natural pauses after the doc completes his statement. Like a great investigative reporter does. Thank you, Tom and Dr. Gould.

Wow!!! What an amazing interview! This confirms everything I have experienced myself over the years. Being raw vegan for almost 10 years. I felt amazing in the beginning, but over the years my health just detoriated more and more. The interesting part about the sun is that when I went raw I stopped getting sunburned, because I stopped eating processed foods. And I could stay out in the sun all day with friends of mine with a darker colored skin, and I was the only one who didn't get sunburned. Completely different from when I was following the original SAD-diet, I was so sensitive to the sun. Even friends of mine who was eating cooked vegan had issues with this, but they were also eating processed foods and a lot of soy products. And I know that soy is actually being used as a natural way of bleaching the skin in certain beauty focused parts of South America.
After some time I figured out that I was totally depleted in omega 3's. So I started supplementing with omega 3 oils which also contained vitamin D3. And I felt better, more balanced over all. The best part was that I stopped being so depressed all the time. But even though fruit gave me issues like heartburn and sinusitis, I still wasn't able to let go of the thought of raw vegan being a healthy way to eat. Eventually my body started to reject all kinds of plant foods, my nervous system went into shutdown, making it even difficult to breath. And I was forced into switching over to eating meat, fish and eggs. At that time I was so heavily deficient in minerals and especially in magnesium even though I had for years been eating cases upon cases with bananas. And now I'm trying to move more towards a more balanced diet. I have been considering moving more towards a vegetarian diet again, but this made me really see this in a new perspective. All the puzzle pieces came together here now. I knew some of the stuff about glyphosate, but I thought glyphosate was mainly a problem when it came to conventional beans and grains, and not a problem with organic produce. Also I had no idea of the connection with deterium. had no idea of the connection with deterium. So this was very interesting to hear! It confirms it all for me. Thank you so much for sharing this! Very grateful 🫶
