Just an update that since so many of you asked for it, SproutyDoll added a DIY kit section on her store where you can buy molds, bases, deco kits and much more to make your own custom eyes :) Here is the link sproutydoll.com
Thank you so much for this! I really believe the thing that makes BJDs so special isn't the actual ball joints but the special eyes. They really make the dolls come alive. The eyes tell the story of the doll. They mirror the personality of the doll and make it become a real entity with history, emotion, personality. For someone who wants their dolls to be truly unique, eye making is a must in my opinion!
Wow she is so polite! I love how she takes so much time to create these wonderful tutorials for us and how she always asks how we are doing every video. Love you work and your kind soul! You have really helped and inspired me and others in the doll custom community! :D
I'M MAKIN A DOLL FOR MY DAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY AND I LOVE THIS TUTORIAL. I'M DEFINITELY GONNA USE THIS TUTORIAL TO MAKE THE DOLL'S EYES. MY LIL MONSTER WILL LOVE THIS!
you can also use clear builder gel (for gel nails) for the lenses. Still needs UV to cure, but I've found that it's cheaper ounce for ounce than Magic-glos.
ink!! prosthetic eyes are laaamethey are just made to be "esthetic" in the same color as your natural eye but is boring after a while, is not like a prosthetic leg that help you to walk again, an eye is just to "make you look normal" i would totally PAY for a doll eye like those for me
Dear Andreja, I love your videos a lot! Do you realize you are an inspiration to everyone that is watching you, what I'm trying to say is that you deserve more followers than you have.
wow they are beautiful i know i would have a hard time making them but to watch it would help me if i do start making things like this . thank you very much for sharing this with us .
These look SO amazing! I haven't got any anime dolls yet, but I have my eye on a couple that I'd love to try painting, and now I'm definitely going to be making my own eyes for them too! Thanks! :)
I wasn't so sure about how those doll eyes looked until the end where you were showing them in a doll's head. I can't beleive how fast they went from looking over the top and gaudy to looking really good XD
thank you so much for showing the finished eyes in the doll! so many tutorials i looked at didn't do that and I was dying to know how they looked in a doll head haha
You really are an inspiration, I've said this so many times! I've just ordered my very first bjd because of your videos. she's not resin made because I just cannot afford one (yet) but a beautiful Hujoo YOSD Lily made of ABS. I cannot wait for her and to make all these wonderful things for her. Thank you again for inspiring me, and so many others to try something artistically new. Love your videos 😍
You are my new favorite UA-cam channel! I'm have been binge watching your videos for hours! I'm so excited to start customizing dolls now thanks to you!
you should do a video (Or possibly a series?) on how to make customs with easy to find materials that most people already have, for those of us who cant afford the fancy stuff. it would be really amazing and id love to see how it turns out. you are so amazing and skilled and i cant stop watching your videos!
+Narwhal Tacos hehe that is fine :D In that case I'd recommend checking my Faceup Supplies for beginners that was released as part of my Back to Basics series. Panting faceups requires very specific materials that cannot be easily replaced with materials that most people have in their house, but my video suggests the most important and basic materials if you are just starting out so that you minimise the money spent at the beginning. It is better to invest in 3 very good and high quality pencils than a set of cheap pencils, because using high quality materials really affects the quality of faceups you can achieve, not to count the ease of use. Learning a new skill as a beginner is already hard enough as it is, so cheap supplies will only make it worse and more frustrating >__< I hope this helps!
Wow. Very beautiful work you did. I love how the eyes gets some life at the end. Very unique designs. I would love to have a doll with the pink flower design you made and the blue gem ones. I love them all! Keep up the great work. This inspires me. 💗💖💞💎
_Godddd, I want to create my own dolls _*_so_*_ badly, but I'd _*_never_*_ be able to. For one thing, I don't have the artistic talent, and for another, I don't have the money to buy the tools and resources necessary...I love these videos, but watching them is always so bittersweet. :(_
Aρняσɗιтє'ѕ ლ Ɗιαяу Practice, even if you don't have the artistic talent who said it has to look good? Making dolls is not about it looking pretty and cute, it's about the effort and love you put into it. Like you're not going to have children and neglect them because they're not what you wanted them to look like. The only real advice I can give you is to stop making excuses and start making successes. Work for money and then maybe you can start making dolls. These people didn't start making beautiful dolls out of thin air, they've worked their asses off just to do the face.
+Lillimarilli 01 I just stumbled across Andrea's videos one day, and I found them fascinating. It helps that her dolls don't look scary. Plus, they only scare me a little bit.
I was just recently thinking about this, well done! I can't wait to start making eyes for a catboy doll I'm going to be working on, the creative ideas for the irises are really inspiring me right now. Keep up the good work!
i think its beautiful! i have never made an eye before but i really like to paint and draw, so i thought if you want to make it a little more realistic you could use a grey pastel on the top portion of the eyewhite for shadow? but it looks gorgeous and i love all of your projects
beautiful :) one thing I think might be interesting to try, is putting a few specs of glitter in with the gloss at the end, so that these would look like floating little lights. I don't have a BJD to try that for though :/
It's a fun video! These days, I keep looking. As a Korean, your English skills may be a little bit bad! She is really good, his hands are very pretty and his voice is so cute♥

Nicolle's Dreams I love your videos
I love your videos
Nicolle's Dreams plz tell me where to get those dolls that you can put eyes in
Sad to say this, but Sproutydoll no longer has DIY eye kits or molds. The pages go 404 when you click on the links.
Nicolle's Dreams do u have any "cheaper" less money usage way of doing this??
I am pretty well convinced any eye once it's in the dolls head will look great, gives me some courage for my dolls
Me during this video: ...but these look terrible?
Me once she puts them in the doll: * gasp * magic
#whydididoubther #queen
Never doubt her. Lesson learned.
I was in the same boat. Always try on before you conclude #don'tdoubt #neverdoubt
Same haha
Yeess same. The doll she shows in the ending are beautiful tho.
+knightsintodreams lol same ESPECIALLY the ones at the end like omg /(0O0)\

Wow she is so polite! I love how she takes so much time to create these wonderful tutorials for us and how she always asks how we are doing every video. Love you work and your kind soul! You have really helped and inspired me and others in the doll custom community! :D
I'M MAKIN A DOLL FOR MY DAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY AND I LOVE THIS TUTORIAL. I'M DEFINITELY GONNA USE THIS TUTORIAL TO MAKE THE DOLL'S EYES. MY LIL MONSTER WILL LOVE THIS!
Those blue eyes that you put in the doll at the end were gorgeous! Definitely my favorite, but all of them were dazzling!
+Lov Jinxx Thank you! :D
I can't believe you are a beginner! You are so good! The eyes are so beautiful!
Awesome sparkly eyes, truly awesome!!! I like to see how crazy you went with them, when seeing them on the dolls face they make so much sense!
you can also use clear builder gel (for gel nails) for the lenses. Still needs UV to cure, but I've found that it's cheaper ounce for ounce than Magic-glos.
My sister wants to start repainting dolls and I can see why. It looks fun and satisfying.
I use a prosthetic eye and I'd love to have a prosthetic as cute as this doll eyes
that would look so good!
ink!! prosthetic eyes are laaamethey are just made to be "esthetic" in the same color as your natural eye but is boring after a while, is not like a prosthetic leg that help you to walk again, an eye is just to "make you look normal"
i would totally PAY for a doll eye like those for me
Maybe ask your doctor if something like this can be done? ^^
It probably has to have a certain material but I'd say go for it :)
i think you should go for it!
I like you
Before she put them in the doll I was like "I mean they look okay" and after I was like "THAT LOOKS AMAZING"
I like the blue ones she shows in the doll at the end of the video! They are so pretty!
Me too
Awwwwww she sounds so adorable! Almost like Marzia!
wow, those eyes really look great when on dolls!
My room mate got me into doll making videos and I'm so glad he did! These eyes are absolutely stunning and the videos themselves are addicting!
They looked weird at first without the eyes in the dolls, they look sooo cool at the end
Dear Andreja,
I love your videos a lot! Do you realize you are an inspiration to everyone that is watching you, what I'm trying to say is that you deserve more followers than you have.
+Rihanna Jaymond thank you Rihanna! :)
the eyes look almost creepy by themselves until you place them in the doll, then they are beautiful!? Magic 😊
These eyes look AMAZING!! I am really impressed, they look so much nicer than regular stadart ones!!
wow they are beautiful i know i would have a hard time making them but to watch it would help me if i do start making things like this . thank you very much for sharing this with us .

+Narwhal Tacos what do you mean "customs"? Painting faceups?
yes sorry, thats just what i tend to call them xD you know, dolls that you customized yourself, recreated, sorry for the confusion xD
+Nicolle's Dreams I think that he or she mean to make things like dresses or skirts, that kind of stuff
+Deborah Piedra that and the painting of it too, maybe the wig? whatever you have in mind, im sure it will be amazing :)

Aρняσɗιтє'ѕ ღ Ɗιαяу Don't put yourself down! Just mix some passion, effort and practice and you'll be making dolls in no time!
Aρняσɗιтє'ѕ ლ Ɗιαяу you're making an excuse when you actually CAN. You can do whatever you want but you need to work for it
Aρняσɗιтє'ѕ ლ Ɗιαяу Practice, even if you don't have the artistic talent who said it has to look good? Relatable...
Talent is important but it's not everything. Practice a lot to get better. The money is definitely a road block though.
I'm actually afraid of dolls (it's a long story), but I love your videos! They're so entertaining.
how can you watch doll videos when you are afraid of
dolls?
+Lillimarilli 01 I just stumbled across Andrea's videos one day, and I found them fascinating. It helps that her dolls don't look scary. Plus, they only scare me a little bit.
