Psa just needs to hire you. If you were grading my cards, packs, boxes, or whatever it is in better hands than any of the psa graders now haha....seriously I opened a Spanish base set pack. Pulled a holo venasaur, double sleeved it immediately.....came back a 6. Sent it back in to re-grade.....came back a 9..... do they have monkeys throwing darts at a grade number???

If you get it graded twice you give them more money.
So they give you a low grade the first time hoping you’ll send it in again.

If your an authentication business, someone brings you a card or box and you authenticate it, you should be liable if it turns to be fake.

I'm a football card collector, but this story has intrigued me and I'm SUPER impressed with the effort you put into this whole thing. Great job, we as a whole (Pokémon, sports cards, etc.) need more people like you keeping an eye out. It's great to highlight this with a HUGE purchase by a celebrity with deep pockets, but it's a good reminder for the people working day to day and get scammed out of $50 or $100 that they don't have to burn. Thanks again for sharing this, great work.

I’m not a Pokémon card collector but this caught my attention as I dabble in Magic the Gathering and old action figures. I am starting to question the legitimacy of any grading company at this point
I’m not into any of this shit it when I see someone got scammed for 3.5 ms, especially Logan Paul, I’m gonna click. And it just so happens I clicked on the best video on the subject. This dude exposed these clowns for what they really are.
For Pokémon cards low-key I think Randolph has the best grading company, super high standards their grades acc matter
A lot of grading companies are dog shit. Let’s say you send in a mint card(baseball, Pokémon, magic, etc) and your buddy has the same exact card they are identical you both send it in. Your card goes to one grader that just found out his wife got laid off and they just had a kid and he is all stressed and you get a 9. Now your buddy gets a grader that’s an upcoming employee loves whatever the card is and sees these mint card, he gives him a 10. There is no computer that scans it with precision and is perfect with that, it’s all based on humans that are flawed and have biases. So it’s all a sham. I have seen cards first hand that literally have zero difference and they are two different grades, rip them out of the holder and get it re graded and have a better or worse grade. It makes no sense.
I personally haven't used any, but I've heard good things from competitor companies who actually list out reasoning for their ratings and give subratings. That won't help with pack guarantees though...
You have some solid evidence there. I really don't know how I helped out at all with that stuff. If this does turn out to be resealed/counterfeit/whatever, as the video give evidence for I really do hate it for everyone involved. I know that feeling and hope justice is brought to source.
Even though no one seems to know the exact significance of the 7 digit numbers on the case, I appreciate the quick response. Chances are, if you and the others I asked don't know, no one does for sure.
I also hope that all transactions get reversed if the contents are unlimited or repacked as I believe they are. If there are issues, I can see it mostly being with the original seller.

Honestly I don’t see how slicing open one flap of the case and seeing inside would affect the value really much at all so I see LP doing that for sure. I mean TCA opened his box and sold it to LP and it didn’t hurt the value at all.

This is great indepth research and follow-up. Can't thank you and everyone else that contributed to this enough. Only way to be sure that the case is authentic is to crack the case and verify. In addition, one or preferably all, boxes should be opened and verify that they are all 1st Ed packs. Then add the tamper proof seals on it like Rusty. Video record of course. Can't purchase something that valuable and not validate.
I agree. The case can't be properly authenticated by anyone and especially by someone who didn't know what 1st edition base was in mid 2020.

This is such an epic and articulate take down. If anyone's credibility has skyrocketed here it's yours. It would almost be a crime if you didn't start providing your own authentication and investigative services from this. I'm a lawyer and the fact people are out there engaging in high quantum/value sales without appropriate caveats, escrow, or other conditions on payment is astounding. As they say, a fool and his money are easily parted. This is why people like me and hopefully you have jobs and get paid well.

Artificial scarcity only amplifies value if there is initial base value, and base value only comes about if there is a use case - and the main use case of nfts is as an "investment" by people who do not think they are at the bottom of the pyramid scheme.
Even the model people point to in the art world is used heavily for money laundering and tax evasion.
I don’t feel bad for Logan or shyne. They are not Pokémon fans and are only into it for the money. The fact Logan said this is devastating to the Pokémon community is hilarious. I’m part of the community and I love it.

Let’s hope this case doesn’t ever get to see the light of day then. It’s wasting everyone’s time and money and to be disappointed because of this is an even worse feeling. The person who resealed this box should hear from a lawyer in my opinion, this is not little funds being played with here.
Definitely hope that any bad actions on this are punished. I hope they have enough information from the original seller to make him the one who pays for it. (other than a loss of profits for everyone else)

Great video and info, You did an amazing job with this box and the research/hard work you put into this. I have thermal labels that are less then two yrs old and they are faded badly lol, that label is defiantly ink label made on a simple printer probably and cut out, size is not correct either. WOW, this was a well orchestrated scam that took more than a few people to pull off and i think numerous people were paid off or at least paid to partake or help authenticate. This shit should be all over every site, podcast, news and or YT channel across America and everyone should be asking questions and putting turning the heat up on all of these dudes involved in this scam until someone cracks and snitches on the others.

Very good work, covered it from a lot of different angles and honestly make a very compelling case, I’d be very surprised if you were wrong at this point. With that said, only thing that makes me think perhaps its not an unlimited case inside, as theoretically he was willing to sell this on ebay (if he ever allowed a sale to go thru) for 70-80k, which would’ve been significantly less than the value of an unlimited case at the time, but perhaps he never intended to allow a sale on ebay to go thru.
The account only had 15 feedback so it wouldn't have been a big deal for the seller to not sell/ship.

You have made some very valid points in this video. I have some critiquing. Regarding the stop tape. Keep in mind this was the very first run of pokemon cards. Somebody probably pointed out the tape wasn't grammatically correct and they updated the tape for future runs. Also.. there is no proof the boxes that you used as comparibles were also legitimate boxes with the exception of King Pokemon's. The boxes used as comps were also from different sets so there is a high change the packaging for the boxes was changed in future runs. As far as the emails go... those could have been fabricated with the exception of the one that you personally claimed to have exchanged. ALSO regarding the bar code. Keep in mind there were factories all over producing these cards. The methods and nomenclatures they use to barcode the boxes could very easily vary. I did like how you compared barcodes though with a base barcode.
There are still so many details on top of the case itself looking wrong in every aspect compared to WOTC cases around the same time. Seven digit number, which likely indicates batch, is the same as an unlimited case example. 4 different stories told by the seller. Low feedback account with name changed right before listing the case. Location extremely close to a scammer who scams with the exact sealed product in question, etc... I could be completely wrong about half of it and there would still be way more than enough to doubt the authenticity of the case.

They need to change companies. He could be swapping out packs (based on weights). The guy who authenticated the box is 1000% sus. I am sure this case is fake but trying to be objective about some of the facts.

As a design and print professional, I agree with your findings and analysis of the label/barcode. There are even differences in the font styles. Stop tape is wrong. One thing would be cool and it would be to weigh the box and compare it to a base unlimited. Oh man, someone is going to have a really bad time.
Base unlimited is going to be a similar weight to 1st ed base. Packs would be long and slightly heavier but not sure that is enough to tell. If it's repacked as well, chances are the scammer made sure the weights were the same. They did some sort of research, although misguided, to design the fake label.

If you compare the printed "Lot #" of Logans box "6601" and the lot # of the Fossil Box "6005" - its interesting that the fossil box would have an earlier lot # by 600 lots.
