Correct, but what we say here is that full torque of the motor is applied when you switch to the drill setting (compated to the screw setting) as the motor will give everything it has because the torque limitor is not engaged. It can be devastating to the drill though... and for this it is not recommend to screw using the drill setting.
mode 1 for drills is for more torque and mode is for faster rpm
