This was a goal for a long time! I always figured that if I made a pair of handmade scissors i’d learn more that I could predict!
Well in this blacksmithing project, I absolutely did! I know there are going to be few people that will get their panties in a bunch because of the various methods that I used to make these scissors, this was done to entirely bait you. You know who you are - enjoy!

Franco Noce given that Jimmy doesn't make too many knives, he could offer up some of the off cuts to a knife smith for San Mai, or jacketed blades. Leaf steel makes for decent spines/cores, or basic cheese board knives if I'm not mistaken...

Duly noted for future reference. I'll try and get my hands on some, as a buddy has offered to let me use his shop space for some exploratory forging. He's better equipped than I can be at my current income level. I've watched too many vids on the subject not to give it a go. I'm hoping spring steel is available at the local salvage yard, or else I know a guy up in Windsor that likely has some lying around. Thanks both for the feedback!

Form is so iconic they could hand on a wall, but function is so good that they never will. Stunningly impressive that you have mastered all these techniques, bringing together the power of large band saws & controlled heat to anneal, then hammer & heat to form, then harden to quench, then anneal again, everything to the appropriate temperature & time, techniques that only a few years back would have required an apprenticeship & years of experience. Thanks for sharing!
