I’ve watched so many makers carefully make a mold box for their resin projects and here you make it so simple with a ziplock bag. Lol
When he squeezed it between two more blocks of wood with tape (I thought it was rubber bands) I thought it was going to be the pressure pot as well. :)
Thanos must kill UA-cam "DIY"resoursewasters --- for saving entire Universe.
Kidding just. ;-))))
They are DIYers. Jimmy is the Master!!
The drop and drag at 3:50 cracks me up probably more than it should!
Nathan Johansen sure sign this probably isn’t your first DiResta video. Replace Jimmy’s hand with Spike’s fake paws... voila. Classic DiResta.
@@teekaypew6538 Ahhh. I miss the Spike paws!
Mr.D, it’s certainly a pleasure for me, to watch your craftsmanship. I’m 64 and still learning. Have a great day.
Jimmy walks into a bar and the bartender asks:
- Did you make a knife recently?
- Yes, but how did you know?
- You've got a shaved patch on your forearm again.
My family and friends stopped asking if I had made or sharpened a knife after the day i went through my house and sharpened every knife i own......i had no hair on my arms when i finished
@@StygianBlood And.... who cares?
Nice to see you back! BTW, I just got one of your picks - I'm finding new uses for it in my shop every day, and still haven't injured myself, but not from want of trying LOL.
The chuckle at the end got me, hahaha
Looks awesome. Really loving the look of the handle where it meets the blade.
ahhhhh good old Diresta... We missed you my friend! Back to the roots :)
This Jimmy guy, if he keeps at it, might become good at making things someday.
Don't give up, Jimmy.
Very nice design. Beautiful handle. Sharp and useful. Thank you Jimmy.
I was just thinking this afternoon that a Diresta video would be nice to see today. Thanks for sharing.
Ok Jimmy now you're just showing off. Had me worried in the beginning but pulled it off in the end. Great stuff.
Beautiful knife Jimmy. You make it look so easy. Hats off.
Nice ! ... there's something so satisfyingly , and primeval, about making a knife
Always watching your projects. Respect to the master !!!
I really thought the handle was going to be a bright hunter orange when finished. That looked beautiful.
Really was intrigued by the wood + epoxy part...
Watch black beard projects
Classic DiResta
Nice job on the knife. The shop looks like it’s coming along nicely. Always love your work. You inspire and THAT is awesome.🇨🇦
Very fine work! Inspiring as always.
The end. Is perfect!
I laughed, 3 seconds later, Jimmy laughed.
This is a beautiful knife! Probably one of my favorites you've made. The CA glue finish is nice.
That knife is going to make some chef really happy!
Yeah man, fun times... One suggestion, if you don't mind, finish the front of your knife scales, before epoxy... It is almost impossible to get to them after they are put on... Also, I keep a bottle of rubbing alcohol(spray bottle) on my bench, it is great for getting off extra epoxy(hands & handles)before it sets up, cleaning off mismarked metal, & if you cut yourself it comes in handy.... Sweet video, hope all is well, take it easy...
Awesome! I've only heard of using crazy glue as finish, never actually seen it done before - it looks great! Thanks dude!
Just the way my grandfather used to do it.
Oh wait...
я сам делаю также
Sexy design brother, I really like how the blade comes a little bit back towards the handle. Nice work
There was a time years ago, when I was anxious to see other people in frame; fearful that the channel was changing. Now, I see the what a wonderful thing that is happening as a growing community of makers is developed because of it. Sorry to doubt you, man.
Nice knife BTW.
You must have a right collect of arm hair in a jar somewhere 😂 great video as alway 👍🏼
does he? or is that you :D
At first i didnt know what you meant until i saw him cutting his arm hair.
Awesome looking knife! Looks good with the cutting board I made for you and Taylor 😉❤️
Hello, Jimmy my name's David, and as usual, your work and your mastery are awesome.
By the way, i recovered the GSM of my wife. Thank you for everything.
Beautiful timber and awesome knife. Love the zip lock bag idea 👍
An excellent outcome! The handle was especially beautiful!
Thanks for the video.
Where is DIRESTA sign??😉
Yeah wtf?!?

The knife part of this is nice, but the handle...damn man, that's just exquisite!

Great build! Your knife making is really getting stellar.
That laugh at the end 🤣🤣🤣 beautiful work brotha. 👊👊👊
Parabéns pelos seus trabalho, cresci vendo meu pai ser muti tarefas, fabricava moveis, facas telhados de casas e vejo em você esse dom , que se propõe em inovar sempre. PARABÉNS !
Another beautiful job, man... Really fantastic knife! 😃
I totally expected you to throw it into a stump at the end. lol
Form and function, beautiful, practical, excellent work. You are the Master
Encore de l'excellent Jimmy DIRESTA !! Bravo l'artiste !
ANOTHER Great Video JD! Yup!...... I learned something new from this one as well! Thanks for doing what you do Brother! Much Love! ❤️ Have A Super Week!.....Gus
Forged in farmhouse coming soon to TV near you 😋😊😉
Odd to see a knife made from a sheet metal cut out....but that was awesome! The simplicity of pouring the resin into the bag with the wood is an amazing time saver. Well done fella! 😎
That’s a common way knives are made these days.
I'm loving the handle 😍 beautiful designed knife!
Awesome video man and a thumbs up on the stabilized wood technique. Love your work👍
Super lovely handle, so unique, as though alive, the last or first of its kind. Thanks for sharing!
Gorgeous shape you got on that knife!
Another Diresta masterpiece!! Welcome back!!
I like that cutting board at the end. If you made it, a video on that perhaps?
Those screw rivet things are a great idea
I think they are called sex bolts or loveless bolts, it's early here 😊
Corby Bolts
Thanks @@GreenEnergy007 that's an even better answer 👍 I was on my first coffee 😊
No you don't make knife, you make EVERYTHING.
No burrito cutting this time? Well at least we got the good old arm shave 😁😁
Beautiful design on this one! Love the shape and profile!
GOOD to see ya back.
this guy can make anything.
To my taste, this is the coolest knife you made in a video. The way the handle hugs the metal is just perfect.
The material you put around the wood, after sanding it wast just a very tin layer, right?
Jimmy you look like a mad scientist mixing the epoxy. Great video.
Nice knife! Beautiful work. +
I can't watch it! There's too many ppl trying to watch at once, it plays 1/10th second and buffers. I have full service, Jimmy you've become too powerful!
Get in the choppa 🤣
Looks awesome!
Beautiful knife you created there Sir, any chance for a video or something telling about/showing your pressure curing of the epoxy method ? I have never seen that done before on a small scale like you did and it gives me lots of ideas. Have a great weekend.
Hey, my arm hair grew back! Time to make another knife 🤣.
I like that little hook bit on the handle, cool.
2:35 Mad scientist 😁😂
That knife is amazing. Keep up the great work
Pleasure to watch as always.
Miss this sooo much... this is exactly what made me follow you...
You make this look like it's so easy to do
Can I suggest you try your hand at a slicer (like for briskets) - I would guess you could get a lot of buyers from bbq/smoker crowd - would be a cool project I think! Anyway - beautiful work there!
You should start naming these various knife designs! Great work!
Beautiful knife and beautifully done.
I sent a small sculpture of spike with a white hammer to you I hope you received it intact.
Gracias por todo tu trabajo éxito 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷

Must be just a blessing working in your new shop Jimmy, No more leaky ceilings from tenants above lol. Cool knife Brother !
Beautiful knife Jimmy...oh say hi to Spike for me. :)

What a really sharp knife build Jimmy! Way to go & glad you're back............. :)
Brilliant finish
Was waiting for the burrito at the end
you are really a crafts man Mr. diresta.
A polished crowned spine would have been epic on this
What no temper? 😁
Джимми как всегда молодец! 👍
Wonderful video, wonderful channel, wonderful knife
we don’t love technology, we love diresta.
I told myself I wasn’t going to watch another knife making video, getting sick of them, before I knew what was happening, I watched the whole thing.
Amazing piece of Birds Eye Maple!
Beautifull fininshing and sharpen knife
Hi Jimmy. Very nice knife. I have a question though.
What was the 2P-10 for? You used the resin/vac process for stabilizing the burl, right? If so, why apply the 2P-10 before the oil?
Really Great Work Jimmy
Truly man of the renaissance.
Been missing you Jimmy.
