can the lenovo software or wacom software be made to totally reject input except for pen ? so even if pen is not close to screen, the screen will not respond to hand touches clicks etc ?

I had the miix 510 for 3 years and the screen broke. So I had to switch to a new laptop. Got the HP Envy x360, and honestly I hadn't noticed how good the Lenovo active pen 1 actually is until I used the HP active pen because it is shocking. I've had it for 2 days but I am returning it just because of this issue. So it was quite enlightening to know that active pen 2 has improved upon their previous iteration. Hoping that's still supported and if not, the new generation laptops offer similar, if not better, functionality with their pens.

Nice. So, for Drawers a real improvement, but for just some writing on the screen (e.g. school / university) you can also use the 1st generation fine.
I've used a passive stylus based tablet/laptop for a long time. A Lenovo Helix and Fujitsu Stylistic. They have zero jitter at all. I also have a Yoga 720 with an active stylus which has a lot of jitter. I can not write even notes with 720. The jitter is too annoying. The 720 is great, but not for notes.

Ive got a Lenevo Yoga 720 and I was looking to get one of these, thanks for letting me make up my mind
SilentKiller what did you end up getting? How is the durability? I have yoga 720 and I bought pen 1 about 6 months ago. It is dying on me. I write alot of notes on my laptop. What do you suggest?
Glad they made the tip longer. That short tip made me hold the pen more upright than is comfortable for me.

I have it delivered with my 7i 15" convertible. Good pen. Draws as good as MS Surface pen. The frictions feels very good. It's not like gliding on ice. The only thing Ibwant for the future is a long pen tip like with the Apple pen. While the tip isn't too short, it's still short like most of the tips of digital pens. The only one that looks as natural as a normal pencil is the one from Apple.

The pen seems amazing as it has no parallax at all! while the pen came with my miix 510 has some very noticeable parallax at the corners...

-I already have Lenovo active pen 1 but I don't like how it works because both in Onenote and Bamboo ink, while you are writing, the classic windows arrow pointer appears and this fact comes off very annoying; do you think this problem occurs even with active pen 2? Thank you in advance.

Hi! I would like to ask you a question. I have a yoga 530 with the Pen 1. The tip gets into the pen body a little bit when pressing with the screen or with the finger, is this normal? The tips should be straight. Maybe the tips are bent?

recently getting a lenovo yoga is a great thing but i need to be using left/right mouse buttons for the work i am doing. when opening the drivers i can't see all the options you can. do you prhaps have a link to your version of the driver or any idea how i can fix this? I'm not sure how to get those extra settings. But before you buy, make sure the stylus is compatible with the model you are using. The pen does not work on all models.

We need to see the lines drawn with a ruler so we can see how the pen behaves without your hand wobble. It has nothing to do with how you normally draw. Otherwise a good informative video.
My thoughts exactly. I was also wondering, what specifically does the pen contribute to the imperfect line? MY lines are straight, but how is the pen going to change that? Without a control like a ruler, there's zero way to tell from this video.

I just got mine today. Pen needs to be near your screen in order for the buttons to function.
Under the pen setting you need to find where it says “Open App” where it will open the Lenovo pen app where you then can manage the button functions.
@@izzyrodriguez1259 If you only need to get the pen near the screen to function, that means that the pen is always on? do you take off the battery when u are not using it?

Hi Teoh... Have you tried using this with a Wacom MobileStudio Pro? I'm looking for a cheap backup stylus in case anything goes wrong with my Wacom OEM part.
The Lenovo Active Pen only works with selected Lenovo products. Wacom has their own pen technology

As far as I know, Lenovo Active Pen only works on Miix products and selected Yoga ones. So no Asus

Wow, what an answer... Personally the Lenovo Pen is as good as the Apple pencil, since both has 4096 pressure levels, but even if it has less, it wouldn't make a considerable difference.

Thanks for great review. You mentioned we need to have WIntech driver installed to get tapered brush selection in photoshop. For this application is there a specific driver to use (Wintech seem to have multiple choices). Can you elaborate on this? no one else seems to be talking about it. I'm a beginner and appreciate your lessons.
It may or may not need Wintab. Test first. otherwise you can install the file "Wintab_x64_1.0.0.20.zip" from www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49498
