Excellent review. Thorough explanation of how the stylus works or why it doesn't. Well balanced review that allows reader to make informed choice on whether to purchase this stylus and what performance to expect on most devices.
Great Review! it shows in details the poorly performance of this Stylus, thanks for the video, I was considering this product for drawing and sketching, but not anymore! you save me!
Not so much- you'd need something more like a ski glove. I did try my art gloves and they didn't help much because the capacitive sensors are always active. With active pens and digitizers once they sense the pen they ignore touch until the pen is no longer detected, and that makes all the difference.
Yeah, they're often too thin to stop your hand registering a lot of the time. Using them might be even annoying, as it'll make the experience even more 'random'.
Thank you for your very honest review on this pen! I bought one just a week ago and I am finding that even though it's more accurate than my regular finger for drawing on my screen, it's still not 100% accurate.
About the palm-rejection: if you use good Apps on the iPad like Goodnotes or Notability, there is built in palm rejection that works astonishingly good. So whether you are writing/drawing with your naked finger or a huge-nibbed Stylus, evertyhing you write is registered even when you put the "meaty section" of your hand on the screen as a rest.
Hi, my bamboo fineline doesn't work on my drawing app on my Android phone, or on any drawing app in general. I've charged it and checked to see if it was accidentally off, etc, nothing. Is there any reason why it doesn't work?
Did you contact Customer Service for that issue? Or maybe there's a problem with tge stylus? (assuming you've used it for years and that it isnt newly bought) It could also be because it falls a lot??? (tbh idk what im even saying lol)
You save my pocket! A little more and I buy the Bamboo Sketch (expensive one) for a Dell P2418HT capacitive touchscreen. Hope you someday explain the difference between the Tip and Sketch pencils :)
I would like to know how the Wacom Bamboo Tip compares with the Adonit Pro 3 and Adonit Snap? The only issue with the Adonit Snap is that the black tip surface starts to wear off and eventually drops off the tip in a short time of wear and tear.
Good review. I was going to get one of these for my phone but having seen it in action I don't think I will. I have been spoiled by the SPen and Pencil.
Lisa, as always a great review. The ONLY person I trust for reviews, you should be a personal shopper, take my money and buy me my tech!! Since you're an artist have you any views on the best application for vector graphics on the Play Store? I'm used to Adobe Illustrator but no longer have access to a Windows machine but have an old Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
does anybody know if this pen will work on the acer laptop? I am tired of buying different stylus which will make dotted lines instead of a continuous one. Any thoughts out there, please?
These active styluses don't work on Galaxy Fold 2 because of magnets under the screen. Would you know any thin tip stylus that works with galaxy fold 2? I've only been able to find the thick crayon ones or the disc type styluses that ar passive

I have a Lenovo Tab A10-30 and i want an stylus to paint with. i have Wacom bamboo solo, is fine. but i would like to have more precision on the brushtrokes. Could i use this stylus in this device? Anything better on the market for my needs? . i also have a Huawei P8. please can you help me?
wacom should make a pen that's just like the pencil but is compatible with most devices, for future devices that is to be released. or even an app or software maybe
Can you please tell me whether it will work on my oneplus 6. I called the customer care, they simply said it will not work because its not listed in their compatibility list. 🙄
I'm so glad I caught this video. Was considering one of these, but not now. Thanks for the demo. Just gonna save my $ and get a tablet that comes with a pen.
As Lisa said in the video, you're always better with active pen support if you want to use a device for pen input. Active pen will give you palm rejection, pressure sensitivity, buttons on the pen and, on some models, tilt sensitivity. This product is intended to give the best possible experience on devices that do not have active pen support.
I have a lenovo active pen 2 which I use on my Lenovo Yoga 530. I have been having endless issues with the active pen. What other options do I have in terms of other pen brands. Because the Lenovo pen sucks.
Wouldn't a compasitive styles with precision disc (almost double the price as the cheap $5 one in this video) work just the same. Also I don't notice any pressure sentitivity, so I'm really confused of why it needs to be charge (other than to act the same way as if a finger was touching the screen).
Adonit makes an “active” fine point rechargeable Li-ion battery stylus, too! The Adonit Dash 2 and now the Dash 3 which my wife owns and uses on her iPhone SE Beautiful looking stylus and a little cheaper than Wacom’s active stylii.
Thank you for the video, I hava a question, do you think it could work on the screen of my Yoga book by Levono or on the screen of any smartphone (I'm currently searching for a stylus for touch screens without all the Surface/Ipad/Samsung technologies but precise enought to write down things on the screen) ? thanks for you answers
Think I’ll stick with my Fineline 3 ...I want the Apple Pencil but I only have an IPad Air 2, planning on getting a dedicated tablet that’s made for digital art pretty soon
Hi and thanks. Could you recommend something that will work with the iPad Air 2 as well as the new base iPad 2018/19/20 models. The former I own, the latter I plan to buy. Will be using it for a little writing and some drawing but am not any kind of pro. Going nuts trying to find a solution. Thanks again.
I’m a bit confused. Why would the stylus need to be charged and turned on if it is for a capacitive device? Will it not work passively if you don’t turn it on?
it needs to great enough capacitance field effect, which is not possible with such a small tip without using a battery. I expect it will not work without turning it on.
Quentin's Family Show Thanks for explaining that to me, I really appreciate it. That said, are there similar types of styli out there which are as good and maybe less expensive?
Hello there. Can i usw this Bamboo Tip for PDF Scripts for de University? Im a Student and I have a Samsung Tab A. Is it possible to use this Bamboo pen for the Tablet? If yes then how?
i have dell inspiron 13 5000, i really want a stylus, do u know by any chance which stylus would work with my laptop which has palm rejection as well? thanks
How is this model different from Wacom Bamboo Stylus Tip CS 710B and Bamboo Fineline 3rd Gen in terms of usage and functionality ? Also, does this model works with Microsoft Onenote app in iPad 2017? Which one do you recommend for note taking and pdf annotation usage ?
the fineline is iOS only (needs to pair using Bluetooth) and allows for pressure senitivity. This is a capactive pen that needs a battery to great the field effect, it should therefore wok wherever a touchscreen is available. It will be more accurate, but not provide more functionality (no pressure sensitivity is possible)
Is there a stylus that works with laptops that don't have active digitizers? Maybe a Bluetooth enabled capacitive stylus? I recently bought the laptop you tested this stylus on and I was preparing to buy this stylus, but your video makes me think otherwise. Any recommendations?
I have an old Wacom drawing tablet I got cheap in a package deal. Intuos3 PTZ-630. Anyone know what affordable pen will work for it? I've tried a couple of Wacom pens and they don't. Anyone with a working pen want it? I was going to give it to my niece if i could find a pen.
You’re one of the few people who actually pronounce Wacom correctly. Thank you! :)
She says it lasts for two hours but she is incorrect. It takes two hours to charge. It lasts for 20 hours.

Can i use it to write on monitor of lap top ?
@@ahmedmadhy842 Only if your monitor is a touchscreen. What this pen does is basically a finger replacement.

woh same here
Excellent review. Thorough explanation of how the stylus works or why it doesn't. Well balanced review that allows reader to make informed choice on whether to purchase this stylus and what performance to expect on most devices.
It actually works quite great on my s9+, I really liked it. It does depend on what kind of device you have based on the screen/ digitizer make.
"This is like tryn' write with a crayon." 😹 That was so accurate of you!
Great Review! it shows in details the poorly performance of this Stylus, thanks for the video, I was considering this product for drawing and sketching, but not anymore! you save me!
I have this stylus and it’s great
If you use an art glove like you sometimes do does it allow you to rest your hand on the glass and still draw?
Not so much- you'd need something more like a ski glove. I did try my art gloves and they didn't help much because the capacitive sensors are always active. With active pens and digitizers once they sense the pen they ignore touch until the pen is no longer detected, and that makes all the difference.
Yeah, they're often too thin to stop your hand registering a lot of the time. Using them might be even annoying, as it'll make the experience even more 'random'.
Thanks so much, exactly the information I was looking for...the whole stylus-digitizer-tablet thing is very confusing. You made sense of it!
Thank you for your very honest review on this pen! I bought one just a week ago and I am finding that even though it's more accurate than my regular finger for drawing on my screen, it's still not 100% accurate.
I love the fact that she gives her honest opinion

They're plastic screens, so probably.

The charge is to increase capacitance, which is needed to amplify the signal with such a small tip, as I mentioned in the video.
