Birks and socks! Yes! 100%!! Welcome to the west coast! As soon as the snow stops flying where we are (southern interior of BC) the socks and sandals come out. People are tired of wearing boots for months on end, but in the spring it's too cold for bare feet in sandals, so socks and sandals it is! We do have a much more casual vibe out in the west, so I'm not surprised you didn't wear your blazer as much. But all the looks were so effortless yet polished. Inspiring!

I love your travel capsule choices. I have overpacked and learned to avoid the “I may need it” thoughts. For my birding trips to northern Michigan, I bring a pair of quick drying outdoor activity pants, blue jeans, a loose fitting UV fishing shirt, several cotton tee shirts, one elevated shirt, cardigan, and a pair of black jeans for out to dinner. Where we visit is super casual, but, I like to look a little bit dressed up for our one special dinner outing. I packed Keen sandals for the Lake Huron beach, a pair of tennis shoes (sneakers), and a pair of black Clark’s loafers. I also pack a hoodie sweatshirt, a windbreaker for layering over the hoodie, and my Carhartt ladies insulated jacket, in case it is really cold. We went in May, and the weather was warm, so the Carhartt wasn’t worn, but, I used the hoodie and windbreaker combo for the cool mornings out on the trail. For birding, I wear binoculars and a full frame Canon d-slr and a 100-400 mm lens. I have to keep my clothing light, yet, layered enough for the change in temps as the day warms up. Keep up the inspirational work.

Really loved this vlog and your analysis of why you chose each outfit and whether you had missed anything/overpacked. Next time you do one like this it woulld be good to see a few more shots of the area for some context of where you were wearing each outfit. Loved it though.

Birkenstocks top tip buy the size that fits perfectly this might be a size down from your usual size, they should fit snuggly but not tight. never be tempted to buy them if they don't fit.

Possible flying within Canada soon and want to know how the luggage size work. Are they super strict about luggage size or if it’s a tad over is it still ok as carryon. Curious haven’t flown in years.

But now i'm doing a trip that has a connecting flight and time in two cities...so seeing Pearson with the state it's in I was going to do carry on this time so I don't need to check my suitcase! Plus i'm going for work so a bit more is riding on not losing my suitcase :) thank you for responding so quickly!

Using this as inspiration for my trips in the future. With Birkenstocks, keep them dry and don’t over walk in them, I had to throw away a pair after only 1 year as they were such bad quality (the $10 pair have lasted longer!)

For Tofino, bring layers. Especially for October - it will be fairly cool. Rain jacket if you have one, light scarf, light sweatshirt.

I sized up to a small! I prefer sizing up 1 usually especially in trenches for a more relaxed fit
