You reminded me that Rio has healing powers, which made that scene so much sadder. Agatha knew that the woman she loved could easily help her "son", but she also knew that Rio wouldn't lift a finger to help him. It's such a complicated, tragic dynamic between them.
@@AlcinaswifefrfrI know who Rio is, but two things can be true. Who Rio is is why she won't use her healing power, and why Agatha knows that she won't use it. That's what makes it complicated.
Rio can't direct kill people, if I understood it correctly. When she tried to kill Agatha, Agatha said it was not allowed. So maybe she could heal Agatha because she directly hurt her. It was Rio's blade that cut through Agatha's livijg flesh, which may not be something she should do. If that was possible, Agatha would've asked her, I believe. But even so, Rio may be indirectly the cause of his wounds. The way the boy was attacked was far more similar to the way Rio attacked Agatha than the way the fire curse was attacking them, so maybe she hurt him without touching him, just to take her meal when the time came.
Agatha has been trying to bring her son back since episode 1 of WandaVision. Somehow Wanda brought back Vision, but he’s really not an organic life, so Agatha experiments: It’s why she encouraged Wanda to have kids to see if she could create life. It was why she killed the dog to see if Wanda could bring it back from the dead.
We realised that was the case during our second watch. The devil is in the detail. Also, the fact that this version of the ballad was playing at any given time, somewhere on the planet. 😱 Thanks for watching 🫶
As much as I love the romantic tension between Rio and Agatha (gives me butterflies, they do), I absolutely love the sisterly nagging between Jen and Agatha. Ever since 2nd episode they've had a fun back and forth between them that makes me laugh. When they bicker with each other, it reminds me of how me and my sister argue. 😂😂 (I also love how Agatha reassured Jen about her knowledge and not giving up... Only for Jen to come through for Agatha with said knowledge and healing Teen.) ❤
I think when the mother was shouting I can’t protect you she meant now that I am about to succumb to this curse and die I won’t be here to even know if my song spell will work and keep you safe and she felt in that moment she couldn’t protect Alice 🥺🥺
I found this episode frightfully entertaining!! Who would've thought that Lorna’s version of the Ballad was the counter curse to protect Alice and the coven?! I loved Lorna’s version!! Literally proof that music is one of the best types of magic anyone can possess!! And that demon looked like a fury from the Underworld!!! I loved the 70's aesthetics!!! Their costumes were stunning and Joe, Kathryn, and Aubrey were totally hot that I’d date them!!! I really loved how the coven has begun to bond and come together like a true coven!! In regards of Rio and Agatha's relationship, I knew there was history between the two of them. I got scared for Teen when he was injured. I was getting vibes that either Teen was Agatha’s son Nicholas or that he reminded her of him. I've heard the rumors of Rio being known as Lady Death which is interesting. Based on her private conversation with Agatha regarding of Teen's true identity, it's safe to assume Agatha thought Teen was her son Nicholas which Rio denies. 🛡️✨🎶😈✡️🔥💔❤️🩹🖤💜
Alice did say in episode three that the women in her family were cursed. This is also a good indication of what happened to Teen. A lot of people still think he's not part of the coven because he was thrown, but he was clearly thrown because he was male and couldn't be burned- however the coven shares 'blessings and burdens alike' so the curse had to physically attack him in another way. I believe Teen placed the sigil on himself and that he has powers but is hiding them from everyone. Rio is clearly Death, every single clue points to it including in episode one when Agatha says she CAN'T kill her because it's not allowed. Death can't kill anyone, she can only take them after they died- which is why I think Agatha was basically silently begging her to let Jen have the chance to save Teen. Also, if Rio is Death then sigils wouldn't work on her and she knows exactly who Teen is and that he IS NOT Agatha's son.
Ever since Alice told Teen that she missed his eyeliner but his hair was cute, she has rapidly become one of my favorite characters. Ali Ahn is showing incredible acting range. Love her.
I think that Lorna was screaming "I can't protect you!" because she was afraid of losing Alice, so it was more of an emotional response than a rational one. Or it was before she wrote her version of the ballad.
What might be getting you mixed up with the symbol being on tarot cards is that this symbol does appear on the official tarot art for the MCU. On a traditional Rider Waite Smith deck, Pamela Coleman Smith (the artist) incorporates her initials in the corner of each card in a stylized way that looks similar to this symbol. It’s just her artist signature. This particular symbol appears in the same way on the corner of the official MCU tarot art. So I think we’re meant to assume it is some sort of signature. My bet is that it is a stylized WM because it looks like both letters depending on how you look at it.
I think you might find this funny, the last line of the spell to bring the Green Witch, is that " its mot easy being green" like as a kermit song. Like totally what a teen would add. I think Jen's bound is psychological and it up to her to break it.
Interesting observation. Jen does appear to be battle some form of inner Saboteur. Can't wait to find out more about her in particular. Thanks for watching 💜 🫶
Your reactions never fail to disappoint! 🤗 think Rio is some sort of reaper or representation of death who knows the identities of people (even those with sigils). I think the clues from this ep are when Agatha tells Rio “no” when Jen tries to heal him and when she talks about getting her bodies. Also, Rio mentioned to the Coven that she did something that she didn’t want to do but it was her job. Maybe that had to deal with Agatha’s son. I think she loved Agatha but her son was dying/dead, Rio had to take Agatha’s son away, and Agatha grew bitter towards Rio. 😮
It was Wanda who placed the Sygils on both her boys I believe also she most likely did it unsubconsciously as remember she didn’t know anything about spells and all that and remember what Agatha said when asked if it was her who placed it on teen she said no that magic is beneath me and for ametuers well wanda as a spell caster was a ametuer Also I agree Rio is powerful and she may know who most people are but I think even though the sygil on billy is amateurish it even shields him from rio You have to remember Rio knows that boy isn’t hers not because she can see who he really is but because most likely she was the one who got rid of Nicholas scratch Agatha actual son But this is all still a guess but I bet it was always Wanda just as Alice’s mom made the song into a protection spell to protect her daughter why wouldn’t Wanda do the same for her sons Also never forget Rio may be strong but Wanda is stronger she’s not just an average witch or even just the scarlet witch she was a mutant with powers as a child and the mind stone raised her up to almost if not omega level beyond most witches capabilities 🥰🥰
Matt and Panos post new Agatha, I click on at the speed of light. Another great episode and things are getting interesting and, like you two, I'm here for it. Can we take a moment to comment about outfits, I mean Alice channeling Yoko Ono was hilarious, but Teen was working what appeared to be a powder blue Jim Morrison look. Loved it! Sixties Rock represented!!! Also, just a little something for you boys to think about, when Lilia (Patty) has her "moments" I think it's important to remember she's practices divination and, as such, she could be speaking from the past or future. I suspect we might be hearing bits of future conversations coming through. That said, you two brighten up my day whenever you post, thank you so much for that. Cheers from Canada.
This episode was amazing! I feel like the show is getting better and better! I hope they keep it up. Cannot wait for the pay offs of all those moments Lilia sees in the future!
20:40 YES!! You are the first channel to have that same theory. It makes it funny that she called it a sloppy glamor bc she would’ve been a young witch at the time and it would’ve been sloppy
@@Alcinaswifefrfralso i think we all can conclude who Rio actually is, with her exchange with Agatha, tarot cards for the characters long bfr show aired, and this week funko pop. the important questions is why she with agatha (cus their relationship seems before darkhold). As alice said, the road (aka Marvel) isnt subtle. also 'alice dont' probably in next episode where alice uses her power to save agatha from posession, but resulting in her power being absorbed. i feel like the progression will be similar with Wansavision, by ep 7 every characters revealed, in ep 8 backstory agatha rio, and ep 9 probably imprtant or big event for mcu
My theory is #$%*$* merced Sharon because Rio was inside or attached to her all along. That's why little Sharon was so heavy. Also ^*&%%*))& is neither Wiccan or Agatha's son. He's whoever Rio works for or they are both working for the same unknown character or RIo is that character. Well unknown to you. I think I know who it is.
18:01 Agatha says "Don't." to Rio, because she's a Reaper. She was the reaper who was sent to collect Agatha's son, in exchange for the Darkhold. Look at Rio, just befor Agatha tells her "Don't." - Rio looks excited and almost intoxiacted by Teen's approaching death, because as a Reaper, Rio's natural instinct is to collect the dying and dead. Rio looks at, and circle-steps around Teen at that moment, like a predator, who's in a fency by the smell of blood (in her case - death), and she almost can't help herself, until Agatha's "Don't.", breaks her out of it.
"That boy isn't yours" isn't the same as "That boy is not your son." I still think that IS Agatha's son, but due to some ritual, he was a price to be paid and belongs to someone else.
I agree and I also don’t trust Rio. I think she has shown signs of not wanting him around.. I firmly believe she threw him through the glass bc that matches her magic and doesn’t match the curse’s actions. She also looked super irritated that he lived and that Agatha wanted that so badly. Makes me think she felt the same way about Agatha’s real son and Agatha may have had to put the sigil on him and force them both to forget in order to protect him.
Does agatha did something to her own son or did Rio did something to agatha's son while they were together? Also I love Aubrey Plaza more and more with each episode (she was so good in "Legion").

When I saw Jen, I immediately said, Donna Summer, who Kelly Rowland resembles.

There is a reason why, I don't think Rio is allowed to save someone from death by healing them, but she can heal light wounds
