The 'i loved being a witch' broke me. The way her memory gaps represent and depict getting older and succumbing to losing yourself and forgetting who you are sometimes. Coupled with saying she is a forgotten woman........the writing is just so spot on and hit me so hard once I realized what was happening...the tears just kept flowing. Diva absolutely deserves any nomination and hopefully a win for this episode.
@@therainbowreels The emotional delivery of her lines as she said she was a forgotten woman and that she loved being a witch, and she was running out of time....the tears started flowing and I just cried the whole time realizing what was happening. Death in the marvel verse has the powers of death, but also life/rebirth. Seeing the hourglass flip upside down at the end and having the episode end with her younger self coming to the lesson...gave me hope that she would live her life in proper sequence. Lila's life is a Klein bottle, always flowing back on itself. So the end song "time in a bottle" has extra meaning. This episode has been on my mind since I watched it, just such an emotional ride. Bravo! "In mathematics, the Klein bottle (/ˈklaɪn/) is an example of a non-orientable surface; that is, informally, a one-sided surface which, if traveled upon, could be followed back to the point of origin while flipping the traveler upside down. "
she experiences her life out of sequence, so she already experienced her death as a child, so now she can just live her life normally experiencing her gaps as well
Recall each time Jen has pushed her way ahead of everyone else, first when she got on the road, and when they needed to use the oven to escape...now she wouldn't let Lilia go after her. Her power will bring everyone together, to move forward. That's why she's the High Priestess.
Keep in mind that he doesn’t have any memories from before the accident. He doesn’t remember anything that happened to him while he was Billy. He has no emotional connection to Wanda. So it stands to reason that he would consider the woman who cared for him and loved him for the last three years as his mom.
I'm sure at the end when he gets is memory back as Wanda Billy he will feel emotions for her. But I'm wondering who will come at the end of the road for Billy, Tommy or Wanda as Wanda got a film coming soon so she has to come back from the dead and I'm wondering if that what Billy/wiccan does brings her back. Maybe he's pretending not to care for her and saying he wants just Tommy but actually wants them both back.
@ I doubt it will be Wanda, if anyone. With Wanda’s bad choices and how she went out in MoM I don’t think it should be that easy. And this all assumes the road gives what is promised. There’s still a chance that the road is a con perpetuated by Agatha, and it’s been Willam/Billy’s subconscious creating this version of the road since the beginning.
He's like an adopted kid. He doesn't remember his birth mom, he only knows that she abandoned him, he doesn't know why or understand her reasons yet, so there are lots of conflicting feelings there. Meanwhile, the Kaplans accepted him and his differences from their original son (although unknowingly...) and have given him nothing but love and care for the last 3 years. It's very reasonable for him to feel this way.
she was happy with death she’s been alive for centuries and now she gets to see her old family/coven and she used her remaining time to help everyone else
High Priestess (what Lilia calls Jen) is a title often given to the Leader of a coven. It's also a title given to a woman who heals, guides, and teaches - especially the next generation of witches (usually in particularly nature based or spiritually based covens). Lilia's "Maestra" fills the same role in her old coven. We keep calling the characters in this show "Agatha's coven", but if you look at it with open minds it's really Billy that is the "core/leader". Perhaps Jen will be the one to take the coven forward after this, while Wiccan and Agatha go off to do other things. (like more movies)
Geez, that takes me back. 1976. "Time in a Bottle" was the theme for our high school prom! Haven't heard it literally for years. I need to get a tissue for my tears. 😂
This is the best episode so far of the season, I also believe that when she upright the tower, the hourglass starts over I think that means that Lilia gets to do her life all over again but without the gaps that she experience troughout her life.....Or that is how I interpret that last part of the episode, this episode was a master class in writing and the acting by Miss Lupone incredible, can't wait for the finale.
On the subject of the importance of the High Priestess and how you asked Jen's importants in the comics: Jennifer Kale is an important character for the future of the MCU because in the comics she was associated with the Midnight Sons and the Supernatural side of the Marvel as a whole.
I kind of love that, in Episode 2, Lilia wrote a 🖤 instead of Billy's name. I think maybe she had to write that, because the sigil was still in place so she could neither write Billy's name nor would the coven have been able to confirm that it was him until he broke the sigil for himself. And Patti and the writers deserve all the love for this episode. Heartbreakingly good stuff.
Did y'all notice how at the beginning Lilia's vision was just her falling in a dark background?? It's cuz she was seeing the road for what it was: Billy's illusionary world... unfortunately, she just decided to accept that she would fall and not fight it.
Interesting, and quite fitting considering the road was never real. We are surprised that Lilia didn't actually see that part of Billy, but that might be due to the Sigil as well.
Have you guys noticed the color schemes of each trial directly corresponds to the order of colors the infinity stones were introduced into the MCU. Also remember, Lillian will experience all these events again the 2nd time around, but this time she SEES everything clearly this time, when she starts her life again.
I LOVED this episode! I was hella confused at first, but everything started falling into place around halfway or two thirds of the way through, and I thought it was so beautifully tragic. As someone who experiences time a little differently than other people sometimes (nowhere near to the point of Lilia obviously), I loved the way this episode was written and how they made all the pieces fall into place towards the end...
Lilia restarting her life is comforting, as she is able to start her life again without gaps, and sad because the current Lilia in this time-line doesn't exist. Yet.❤
Someone said that the Death card in tarot also means Rebirth, transformations and new beginnings. That's the reason why the episode ended with Lilia going back to her beginning. She finally gets to live her life in order now, without gaps. It's sort of a rebirth.
We got to experience what it was like for Lilia traveling with them. She seemed wispy and kooky because she's not experiencing time in linear, we were experiencing it how she sees it. She was never confused she just couldn't see the pieces she needed to complete the picture. We experienced her time as a witch from the middle of her journey to the beginning and then the end. She didn't start her life again she's only lived it once just out of sequence.
I also have a theory that we're not on the Witch's Road at all ...but in a Hex Billy probably unconsciously.. like Wanda did to the town because there are objects in each trial that's in his Bedroom.. lights in the cabin.. concert poster in Alice's trial..etc .. and he wishes Lilia was there then she flys through the bookshelf...
I don't think Lilia died. At least in the tradicional way. She became a full circle. Remember, the flow of time is a illusion. Now that her life ended and she was able to save her coven, there were no more surprises for her. She already knows everything. That last scene was she returning to her beginning, this time already knowing everything so she will be able to relieve her life in the proper flow of time. She's basically reliving her life in a loop trough all eternity. Enjoying every second she didn't before because of the gaps. She's eternal.
Click on this so fast. This was, as you both said, an amazingly well written episode. Lilia's arch from the 1st episode until now was both humourous and oddly ooky, to borrow a phrase; and seeing it all come together in her final moments was bittersweet and hopeful as she began the cycle again. Patti, all of them in fact, deserve so much praise for their performances; what could have been cheesy in the wrong hands has proven to be wonderfully surprising, frustrating, joyous and sorrowful in the right hands. The pathos and emotion broke my heart, especially once I realized this was Lilia's end. As always a great reaction from you both...and can I just say, not only were the costumes amazing, but those jumpers/sweater you both have on are on point 🤩; my husband* ❤ them. **he's the one hugging me in my avatar
Lilia has been one of our favourite characters, but then again, we are biased cause we love Patti 🤭 The acting was incredible from beginning to end. Pity they couldn't afford her again for episode 8 or 9. We would have loved to have seen her interact with Death one more time. You two are so sweet, thanks. We love those cardigans and love knits for the winter season in general. ❄️☃️ Thanks for watching 🫶
This episode is definitely the best one!!! Pattie LuPone DESERVES the Emmy!!! Her performance was divine, and I loved every minute of it!!! I really loved how Lilia’s arc had come full circle from revisiting her past, to taking control of her present, to finally confronting her fearful bittersweet future. I have to ask if you were in the scene which iconic witch would you be? I definitely would make waves as Ursula the Sea Witch!!! 🏰🧙♀️👸🪬✨🔮📿🎴😱🤯🥹😭💛🩷💙💜💚🖤
THEORIES: 🔘With the revelation of Rio being Death, we’ll get to see her backstory play out in the final episodes as well as get the final confrontation between her and Agatha. 🔘Jennifer will finally become unbound, and we might actually get to see more about who and how they bound her. 🔘Despite not having any real interaction in this series, we might see how Mephisto fits in as well as his future for the MCU. 🔘We will somehow be reunited with the coven and Sharon; maybe they’ll be revived. 🔘We will finally get to see the double meaning of 🖤 not only apply to Rio, but to Billy as well. He might undergo his own trial where he’ll finally come to terms and embrace his true identity as Billy Kaplan aka Wiccan as well discover the truth and whereabouts of Tommy. 🔘 We will finally witness Agatha’s arc as we will not only revisit the other key moments of her past, but we will witness her finally see her recover her magical powers and use them for better and worse.
@@therainbowreels technically he was a sorcerer just as Maleficent was technically a fairy. But I think in their point of view, I think any magic wielding character would identify as a witch.
Sharon said that she expected to see the failed railroad transit system down there and then we see a train in the fork of the road and jennifer mentioned passing a subway earlier so this leads me to believe that this isnt the witches road and they are actually below westview in that railroad system. I think billy created this hex subconsciously without knowing just like wanda did with her hex. It explains the reason why agatha is always scared and unknown of everything on the road, even when she first opened the door she didnt recognize the dirt or soil. The cards said she is being truthful so she has walked the road beforw and she couldnt control her power when she killed alice.
@@kevinsims5791 so I’m not using the comics as the end all be all. I’m going based on what they said for the show. The road changes for the coven. That’s what was said on the show
Mis amores me encanta como se emocionan por la serie😍😍,que triste por Lilia se fue como una grande ojalá que a la actriz la nominen a un Emmy porque con su actuación se hecho encima el capítulo trmenda actriz!!
The "High Priestess" is not a comics character. I believe she is referring solely to that tarot card and Jen emobodying it. Jennifer Kale is a comics character (as is Lilia and Alice) but Jen's history is more extensive. She's Ghost Rider's cousin and has been a member of the group the Midnight Sons. There were rumors they are doing a Midnight Sons movie with Moon Knight, Blade and Black Knight. It would be nice to add a female to that group so perhaps it is hinting at her having a larger role in the MCU than just this show? Just a guess.
It was pointless for her. She already knew that she was gonna died. But she owned it. Since her fate was settled, she sacrificed herself to take out The Seven and guarantee her Coven's safety.
Jen is the tarot card, the high priestess, which Lilia defines. I don’t think it means anything more than that. I don’t think she’s meant to be the covens high priestess or anything. Just a spiritual person with great power, unable or unwilling to use it. And she’s vital to the path ahead.
Lov-videos! My five-year relationship came to an end a month ago. The love of my life chose to leave, and I can't stop thinking about him; I love him so deeply. I've done everything I can to win him back, but nothing seems to work. I'm feeling frustrated and can't imagine my life with anyone else. Despite my efforts to move on, I just can't shake the thoughts of him. I don’t know why I’m sharing this, but I really miss him!
Its tough to let go of someone you care about. I can relate, my 12year relationship also ended, and I struggled to move on. I tried everything to get him back, even seeking help from a spiritual counselor who ultimately helped me reconnect with him*
24:05 Exactly! Up to this point, "the tower was reversed," right? Her last act was setting "the tower right." Lilia setting things right, and we last see her going to her lesson (for the first time?) with her maestra with a look of confidence. I'm not so sure that she's dead or that any one we've seen die on the road for that matter. "The road is wild and wickеd Winding through the wood Where all that's wrong is right And all that's bad is good Through many milеs of tricks and trials We'll wander high and low Tame your fears, a door appears The time has come to go" --and the last line of the ballad-- "Follow me, my friend To glory at the end" I said it before, but I'll say it again, the Witches' Road is a coven maker. The trials are designed to make a group of distrusting witches, all with different skill sets, to work together and trust one another. The only way out, is for a witch to put her or his life in the hands of her or his fellow witch. The trails are designed so no single witch can complete the road on his or her own--that's not what it means to be a witch, and that's not how a coven works. A witch's power comes from her coven! Lilia's story and Agatha's origin showed us why witches stopped thriving: they died from disease, persecution and betrayal. Those who survived, however, lived lives in obscurity with their fading powers. The Witches' Road is trying to bring back witches and trying to build them up like the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj--they survived because they are together. What happens on the Road, happens because of choices made and the Road's decree. Those participating in the trails are facing "tricks" and "trials" is death (lower case d) death when it occurs on the Road? I think the answer to this question is yes, but also no. I think death on the road is only permanent if your coven gives up and doesn't finish the Road. Finishing the Road leads "to glory at the end," and that glory is the power of a coven. How can you have a coven if your coven is dead? That's why I don't think death is permanent in this realm. The Witches' Road exists on its own magical plain. I think we haven't seen Rio because she's having a hard time collecting the dead; I think the road is denying her "her prize," because the deaths she's come across are not yet final. In any case, next week is going to be great! I cannot wait for the two part finale. Death is our big bad, and I'm curious to see how they stop her. Death likely won't be as powerful as she is in the comics, since she can kill just about anyone she pleases, though she normally doesn't kill people--she typically waits until it is a person's time to go to collect. Still, William (and I assume Tommy's vessel) are on borrowed time. Lilia's spell hid William's body Death's gaze. William is part of this coven on the Road. In order for this coven to finish the trials, they have to protect William at all costs. Can Death defeat a coven determined to succeed? More importantly, can Death defeat the child of the Scarlet Witch? In the comics, Billy and Tommy were created from borrowed Mephisto essence. I don't think that's going to part of the MCU's origin since we didn't have Mephisto when they were created. The power dwelling inside Wanda, chaos magic, was explained to comprised of cosmic background radiation (CMBR), which dates back to the big bang, which likely goes back to the time with the elder gods ruled--Chthon is the creator of chaos magic, but I don't know if the MCU is going to go that route. In any case, the MCU has already tied Wanda's power to something before the beginning of the universe. Billy and Tommy are made of the same magical stuff flowing in Wanda. I don't know if Death is strong enough to take what she wants from a being like that, but I guess we'll find out. Great reaction, fellas.
Wow, your theory is really good 🙌 And it would make total sense. Lilia even said it "we hated each other at the beginning, but now". The fallen witches returning at the end would be absolutely amazing 👏 It will be interesting to see what Rio's next move is and how the remaining witches will deal with her. Thanks for watching 🫶
Time is an illusion, lilia got know that billy is Wanda's son because of jen, bcz her life is out of sequence, she goes back in time and tells jen billy is Wanda's son, and then jen tells lilia that she learnt it from her, it's a loop, If this episode is the real sequence of lilia, then Lilia learnt about billy from jen and jen learnt it from Lilia and told her again , the idea of billy is Wanda's son came out of nowhere unless there's a gap between those two scenes waiting to be filled, it's either Rio told Lilia about billy or lilia learnt it in another time😮
everyone in Lilia's tarot card pick is in the coven, including Rio. unfortunately Mrs Hart isnt. also i think Jac Schaeffer confirmed that Billy/Will is the green witch of the coven from marvel podcast, and Rio is the tourist even though Rio is the original green witch and Billy's magic is blue. So it could be for them since nex is morgue and Billy/Will had their own things with death and Rio is Death.
In mythology, The Green witch is the Maiden, young, innocent like Billy and is represented by spring flowers and a spring lamb. But the Maiden is meant to be a young girl not boy. The mother is the next which could be Agatha who has a son. The crone represents death, the old woman at the end of her life. The maiden, mother, crone. Is the life cycle of woman in Greek mythology and is represented by the waxing (maiden) 🌒, full 🌕 (Full) and weaning moon (crone) 🌘. 🌒 🌕 🌘
I think it's truly beautiful that Lilia was able to heal her core wound before she died. Maybe without that healing, she would have hung around after death and become a ghost with unfinished business. Non-linear storytelling isn't often done right, but this was just perfect. This episode felt like a finale to me, because of the satisying way it resolved things in the climax - most shows don't come close to such a compelling resolution in their season finales. Next episode is going to explore Jen's history as a midwive, being persecuted by the physician. I posted a video on my channel about the real-life persecution of midwives as witches, not just by the church but by doctors. I'd be honoured if you'd check it out!
Can’t help but wonder: 1. Is the road real at all or are they just in a hex Billy made based on songs and legends dating back to Agatha’s original lies about it. 2. If Agatha’s mother felt she was evil and should have been killed at birth, then who is Agatha’s father and did he pass the succubus power down to her?
The Billy/Hex theory has popped up a few times now. It would be so clever if it were true, and so on brand for the son of the Scarlet Witch! Thanks for watching 🫶
So annoying everyone keeps dying because of Agatha. Sharon: Dead, not even a witch, lied to by Agatha broad to the road. Alice: Agatha literally sucked the life out of her. Lillia: Passed her trial and saved everyone, stays behind to defend them against the Salem Seven, WHO are only there because they're chasing Agatha. So yeah, literally all dead because of Agatha.
What if we didnt see the hole interaction between lilia and rio in their scene? Maybe lilia made a Deal with rio to bring back Alice and let the Agatha, Billy and jenn live and she will give her other bodys, the death of the Salem witches, because we onle sie 5 of the 7 salems with lilia??😱😱🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
I don't understand the sadness over the ending. Her death has always been a part of her life. It always will be. You see it as her ending. She literally told you that's not how time works.

😱 that would be wild! Like mother, like son!

I don't agree. Her professor says "death comes to us all". She's dead.
they did the quicksilver for the ralph boner cameo i love !!
Lilia was impeccable 🖤🥹
The fall was so artistically stunning 💜 also i love your reactions 😁
Thank you 🫶
Lilia's teacher said that she did not have the power to control but rather see the future, she could not change her death, and she understood that.
Lilia has been one of our favourite characters, but then again, we are biased cause we love Patti 🤭
The acting was incredible from beginning to end. Pity they couldn't afford her again for episode 8 or 9. We would have loved to have seen her interact with Death one more time.
You two are so sweet, thanks. We love those cardigans and love knits for the winter season in general. ❄️☃️
Thanks for watching 🫶
This episode is definitely the best one!!! Pattie LuPone DESERVES the Emmy!!! Her performance was divine, and I loved every minute of it!!! I really loved how Lilia’s arc had come full circle from revisiting her past, to taking control of her present, to finally confronting her fearful bittersweet future. I have to ask if you were in the scene which iconic witch would you be? I definitely would make waves as Ursula the Sea Witch!!! 🏰🧙♀️👸🪬✨🔮📿🎴😱🤯🥹😭💛🩷💙💜💚🖤
THEORIES:
🔘With the revelation of Rio being Death, we’ll get to see her backstory play out in the final episodes as well as get the final confrontation between her and Agatha.
We are rooting for Patti! She is brilliant 👏
Good question! Is Jafar a witch?! Or is he a sorcerer?!
@@therainbowreels technically he was a sorcerer just as Maleficent was technically a fairy. But I think in their point of view, I think any magic wielding character would identify as a witch.
But he also did become a genie in the end due to his ego for superiority and the final wish.
This road is different bc the coven is different
@@jocelyngipson7882 the road itself doesnt change, the challenges or trials do.
@@kevinsims5791 is that not on the road?
And if she went in the 1700s vs now, there might be some changes
@@jocelyngipson7882 when wanda walked the road in the comics, the actual road had those erie trees as well. I think its just for the trials.
We loved Lilia 💔🥲
Thank you for watching 🫶
@@therainbowreels You're Welcome guapos🙏🏼🙏🏼🔥🔥💖💖💖
The "High Priestess" is not a comics character. I believe she is referring solely to that tarot card and Jen emobodying it. Jennifer Kale is a comics character (as is Lilia and Alice) but Jen's history is more extensive. She's Ghost Rider's cousin and has been a member of the group the Midnight Sons. There were rumors they are doing a Midnight Sons movie with Moon Knight, Blade and Black Knight. It would be nice to add a female to that group so perhaps it is hinting at her having a larger role in the MCU than just this show? Just a guess.
Such a beautiful episode and great reaction ❤
Thank you. We loved this episode 🫶
I tried everything to get him back, even seeking help from a spiritual counselor who ultimately helped me reconnect with him*
That's incredible! How did you find a spiritual counselor, and how can I contact one?
His name is Owen Abiola, and he’s an amazing spiritual counselor who specializes in bringing back lost loves.
Owen Abiola has incredible powers, and he can assist you.
Thank you for sharing this valuable information! I just looked him up online, and I'm impressed
"The road is wild and wickеd
Winding through the wood
Where all that's wrong is right
And all that's bad is good
Through many milеs of tricks and trials
We'll wander high and low
Tame your fears, a door appears
The time has come to go"
--and the last line of the ballad--
"Follow me, my friend
To glory at the end"
I said it before, but I'll say it again, the Witches' Road is a coven maker.
Wow, your theory is really good 🙌
And it would make total sense. Lilia even said it "we hated each other at the beginning, but now".
The fallen witches returning at the end would be absolutely amazing 👏
It will be interesting to see what Rio's next move is and how the remaining witches will deal with her.
Thanks for watching 🫶
Patti is amazing in that episode 👑💜
Agreed 🙌
Was waiting for this reaction!
Time is an illusion, lilia got know that billy is Wanda's son because of jen, bcz her life is out of sequence, she goes back in time and tells jen billy is Wanda's son, and then jen tells lilia that she learnt it from her, it's a loop,
If this episode is the real sequence of lilia, then Lilia learnt about billy from jen and jen learnt it from Lilia and told her again , the idea of billy is Wanda's son came out of nowhere unless there's a gap between those two scenes waiting to be filled, it's either Rio told Lilia about billy or lilia learnt it in another time😮
Thank so much for your reaction.
Thank you for watching 🫶
everyone in Lilia's tarot card pick is in the coven, including Rio. unfortunately Mrs Hart isnt. also i think Jac Schaeffer confirmed that Billy/Will is the green witch of the coven from marvel podcast, and Rio is the tourist even though Rio is the original green witch and Billy's magic is blue.
We agree with you. This episode was an absolute masterpiece. Thank you for watching, and we'll check out your content 🫶
If you go back and watch, To see how many of the Salem 7 died, you count only 5!! My guess is the crow and the owl are still alive.🐦⬛🦉
Because they could fly
@AuntieL_ATL Yes, you will have to slow the video down. You will see feathers on the upper right side of the screen.
Can’t help but wonder:

Where did you get that deconstructed jumper from? (on the left) Its amazing when I realized it made an argyle pattern! Love!!!!
Matt's cardigan is from Maison Margiela. Not sure which season though. 🤔
You can find it on yoox.com
You don't hire Patti and not give her the material. This might be one of the best episodes of TV of all time.
Patti and the whole cast, for that matter, was phenomenal 👏
So annoying everyone keeps dying because of Agatha. Sharon: Dead, not even a witch, lied to by Agatha broad to the road. Alice: Agatha literally sucked the life out of her. Lillia: Passed her trial and saved everyone, stays behind to defend them against the Salem Seven, WHO are only there because they're chasing Agatha. So yeah, literally all dead because of Agatha.
😭 maybe they'll be revived at the end of the road!?
What if we didnt see the hole interaction between lilia and rio in their scene? Maybe lilia made a Deal with rio to bring back Alice and let the Agatha, Billy and jenn live and she will give her other bodys, the death of the Salem witches, because we onle sie 5 of the 7 salems with lilia??😱😱🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
To think that Sharon might have gotten out alive if they just let her sink.
🥲
OMG, I'M LOVE YOURRRRSSSSS
✨🤍✨💫
I don't understand the sadness over the ending. Her death has always been a part of her life. It always will be. You see it as her ending. She literally told you that's not how time works.
Feeling sad because someone died is basically a biological reaction though.
We just didn't want her to die 😔
