- In this video we head out to the Sierra Mountains for a multi day overlanding and camping trip in our Tundra where we go hiking on the Pacific Crest Trail, cook some great food, and do some off-roading. Along the way we captured some awesome drone footage and at night dealt with freezing temperatures.

People try way to hard when it comes to camping meals, prepping ingredients at home is the way to go!
Yeah we prep and marinate as much as we can at home. Makes it so much easier 👍
Tried that before… cut onions and peppers at home and by the time we hit camp the whole fridge tasted like onions 🧅 😂
@@joshuagray5094 haha yeah we always try and use the chopped up onions first thing and get those used up ha.

@@FFdo. nahhhh, I stick with my pour over. Now I don’t freshly grind the beans so I’m not going full barista mode but not instant coffee either. I’ll put a little work into the coffee game.

the meadows is no joke when it's cold. where I live it was 105... few hours later it was 70 down there.. can't wait to go back.

@@prospectoverland As for the diesel heaters if inhad to buy one today I'd purchase the HCALORY 12V 5KW with the Bluetooth. Good value, easy to carry. Only con I see is you have to do a bit more assembly then most can handle. We have a couple videos on our channel. I do like the idea of ease of a suit case style heater for travel purposes.

We have been doing the Keto life style for the last year and a half so your best bet is just googling keto egg roll in a bowl. The other stuff we tend to just use ground turkey or chicken a lot and low carb Mission tortillas. We don’t really use formal receipts at all. Just have kinda figured out what is okay to eat on keto and make it up as she goes.

@@prospectoverland that should tell you something about how popular -- and incredibly awesome -- they are that they fly off the shelves as soon as they are built!
We camp in the back of our truck and have used an electric blanket inside the sleeping bag which was crazy HOT so next time we plan to put it under the sleeping bag. With the Vtolman jump 1000, it easily ran all night but the temp was only mid 25 or so.
Awesome! We have been think of electric blanket option……Which one are you using?

@@prospectoverland So my wife told me that it is a normal full size electric blanket as it plugs right into the battery pack we are using. she packed it away after our trip. It is nothing fancy.

Love your rig. Any regrets with the GFC?
None, it does exactly what it is meant to do. Light weight, keep your truck pretty functional, cheap compared to full truck camper builds etc.
But it’s still just tent material so don’t go in expecting amazing 4 season all weather type of resistant. You will get hot some night and cold other nights.

hey thanks for checking out the video. But I do my best to not totally blow the camping spot locations. I typically don't show any roadway signs or campground markings and just refer to the area in general. If you consider the thousands of people the will ultimately watch this video in the weeks to come if just a couple hundred of those people go to the spot it would be packed year around and likely trashed from too much use.
