Overlanding Death Valley - Our Final Trip in the GFC

- In this video we go on a multi-day trip up Hwy 395, through Big Pine California into Death Valley. We camp near the massive Eureka Sand Dunes the first night. Then we go through a rock canyon down Steel Pass to the Saline Valley Hot Springs. Things got interesting at the hot springs.... We continue up Lippincott Pass to Race Track Playa and on to Tea Kettle Junction. We camped at Cheyanne Campground and hiked Ubehebe Crater. Our trip took us to Stove Pipe Wells where we filled up on some desperately needed gas. We continued to Trona Pinnacles to spend our final night in the Go Fast Campers.

We're excited to see which directions you go! Our first guess would be an AluCab Cabin, second guess would be a Scout Slide in. No matter which direction you go we'll be coming along for the journey.

Good stuff, man! When you were preparing to go through those tight spaces and said "This could be fun," all I heard was "I hope I don't f*%k up the GFC!" And for the record, I'm the FIRST VIEW!!

I knew the GFCs days were numbered. They’re great, but very bare bones and your rig is getting pretty fancy.

Really enjoyed this video man...We did Lippincott going down and man, it's gnarly. Can't imagine going up it. Saline Valley is another area I want to go back and explore more.

Lots of adventure videos thru DVNP, yours is certainly one of them. I'd suggest a public service to all prospective adventurers/visitors/viewers of your channel, indicating they should read the rules and regulations and know them and follow them. It's one thing for visitors to enjoy a trip thru DVNP, but when the many many videos are posted, those videos should be 100% by the rules. Your friend brought the pup, and it is okay to bring pups, but they are allowed on paved roads and in your campsite, but not on any trail, and not unleashed. It's a minor detail, but it's on the tube for all to see. I enjoyed watching your video!

Nice eye…sure is. Almost all our meals are. Maybe not strict keto but at least low carb and low or no sugar.
You guys got SUPER lucky with weather. Attempted to do a similar route a month prior and got rained/snowed/hailed/wind out on the first day/night. Will attempt it again next time! Looking forward to the new setup. My guess is a Project M FWC
Yeah we definitely were shooting to find the sweet spot of temps before it got to hot. I think the late April and early may options are the best. We did similar dates two years earlier and worked out well also….and that’s a pretty solid guess, FWC makes a a cool camper.

What kind of mpg do you get with your gfc?
10.5 but I don’t think the GFC had a ton to play. I think it’s that my truck is 8600 lbs on 37’s lol.
My 2020 tundra is stock with all season tires.
The GFC knocked me down to about 16mpg hwy from about 18 hwy.
Not bad at all imo.
