My advice is point your truck directly down the trail you came in on especially in previous snow tracks. That gives you pre-travelled vehicle tracks eliminating turning around on fresh snow and possible sinking and getting stuck
Thanks for watching, appreciate it. Yeah we only had a few inches on the ground but it was going to start adding up quick. And the wind just start to get no fun .
Hi guys! Can’t believe I stumbled upon this video, I was there at the same time March 1/2nd right when the blizzard came in as well. I was in the camp spot a couple hundred feet away in a Sprinter van! 😂 I saw your truck but no idea you guys were UA-camrs and just happened to stumble on this now. Amazing and such beautiful drone shots
I remember seeing a van so it must have been you!! We were jealous of all the space and comforts of the van while spending so many hours inside during that storm. How long did you stay? Did you stick it out another night?
@@prospectoverland Yes we did! The next morning we attempted to go up the pass and got stuck in the snow on the climb up, my wife ended up digging us out for a solid 20 minutes while I attempted to do a U-Turn. It was snowing quite a bit and we didn't want to risk it any further so we just went back down to one of the other sites and spent another night. It was an absolute blast and a super memorable time. Your videos definitely captured the moment and helped us reminisce! I'll definitely subscribe for more :)

Hi Guys, Great video!!!! We were in Barstow and experienced really bad winds but unfortunately no snow. I think Beverly and I would have loved to see some snow, glad you guys had a great time and you had safe travels..... Hope to see you guys on another overland trip soon.
Was that Troy meadows? Have you checked out Bonita meadows? Love watching y’all. Makes me miss some things about Cali. Thanks for doing these videos. If ya ever make it up to Idaho let’s us know.
I haven’t been to either of those places…at least not by those names. Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll check them out. We would love CA coast, up to PNW, then all the way across to Montana trip. I have it planned, just need to find the time. Thanks for watching
Ran it all night long. Love it! I’ll be doing a whole update and review video about the whole truck in the next month or two hopefully. Waiting to change a couple things before I make a updated video
Hey guys! Nice install on the Dickinson. I still haven't seen anything similar elsewhere on UA-cam, which surprises me because this is such a great application. I was wondering if you have had more opportunities to test the heater in really cold temps and if you feel like the performance is adequate? Also, I am wondering if you could tell me what the measurement is from the edge of the camper to the furthest edge of the pipe chimney. I don't have too much room to spare in my garage lengthwise and wondering if this sticks out much further than the rear bumper? Thanks in advance - cheers! PS - any regrets on going with this heater application? looking at any other ideas, or have you been happy with this?
Thank you and we love it. Only surprise in the pipe coming out of the top of the heater gets pretty hot and if kids were inside the camper I would want to make some sort of guard so they don’t touch it. But after about a 1ft of pipe it’s starts cooling off and by the time it exist the back by the tent material you can hold the pipe. Please shoot me a email with any measurement questions and I can reply with some numbers and a couple pictures. Ty.prospectoverland@gmail.com.
The camper/pop top makes zero wind noise. It’s nothing like a regular tent material pop top. This thick vinyl siding doesn’t make noise. But the truck does turn into a big wind wall/block so the entire truck shakes around a little in the big gusts but noise is not the issue. We sleep very well, we have switched to a hest mattress and love it.
Hey thanks for following along. It’s a Four Wheel Camper project M. Scroll back on my channel a few videos and I did a video just on the camper itself.
Hey guys, awesome fireplace install. Question, would I need any electricity in camper to install the propane Dickinson heater or is electricity just something nice to have to run vent fan but not totally required? Thank you. With Aloha, Matt
Thanks. Yeah you will need some power. It’s consumes very little 12v power. The radiant heat without the fan to blow it would not produce much. I would not recommend if you have no way to do power. I also run a 12v propane sensor. A small auxiliary power supply maybe like a goal zero or something similar.
@@prospectoverland , thank you so very much for this info. I have the Jackery Explorer 300....I wonder if this is powerful enough to run that fan? Thanks again. Great work with your build out. With Aloha, Matt

Hey man what are your thoughts on "The Angry Camper"'s video regarding his Tundra of the same Gen as yours having the bed broken by his Project M? Are you worried the same will happen to yours?
Never saw it but just watched the video now. Never heard of that happening to anyone’s truck. I am not worried about it at all. 400lb camper is not much.
Hey was cool running into you at the show in San Juan, I was the guy that just bought a project M and we talked about awnings for the PM. Are your mule brackets the stainless steel version or the earlier version.
I just checked and I pay 11.95 a month. I get 10 free text messages. Then expensive per message after that. I ended up paying $6 extra in texts for this trip. Then I pay an additional $29 a year for extra search and rescue insurance so if I push the sos i wont get charged 20k for the helicopter pickup.
