Mick Tucker was the greatest rock drummer that the UK and the world never truly recognised.., he was, and is .., A Legend! Ballroom Blitz..., an incredible piece of drumming., and then some.., Into The Night., Sweet F.A., Solid Gold Brass..., Just a Superb piece of drumming, every track!.., and then some.., Midnight To Daylight.., and in my humble opinion..., one of the greatest recorded rock jams ever.., the brilliant 'Keep It In' from the 'Give Us A Wink' album from 1976.., absolutely incredible drumming!! I was fortunate enough to accidently bump into Mick in Debenhams in Harrow in 1982.., I had nothing for him to sign for me as it was purely an accidental meet.., but he shook my hand as I told him that I was a life-long Sweet fan, and that he was the main reason as to why I became a drummer., x
R.I.P Mick..., you, (& Cozy) were and always will be the one and only reason as to why I too became a drummer at an early age.., still am, and I'm way passed 60 now!! .., ;) xx
I agree totally with all you said. IMHO one of the greatest rock drummer's who ever lived
Мне 61 год и я тоже барабанщик. Mick Tucker и группа Sweet - это мои кумиры. Основа музыкального исполнения группы держалась всегда на ударных, во главе которых был великолепный Mick!!!
Mick was the king of drums 🥁 and man with the golden arm 💪
Unforgotten and forever in the hearts of his fans 💕❤💕❤
Mick Tucker was and will always be a great drummer. He was fresh had great technical skills and had a natural talent. As a drummer he was and will always be a true inspiration to me. An absolute Legend, Taken way too early. Rest In Peace Mick.
What a Drummer. One of the best. R.I.P Mick Tucker. G.B.N.F
Nice tribute to Mick. Thank you! He never got the credit he deserved. We true fans will never forget him. RIP darling Mick. You'll always be my favorite drummer. 💘😘 Keep rockin with Brian and Steve.
So happy you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching 🥰
I first heard Micks drumming when I was ten years old in 1973. The Sweet song " Blockbuster" had just shot to No1, no easy feat when a band had to sell a million 7inch single records in under a fortnight to reach even the top 3 in the charts. The only other drummer at the time that blew my mind was Kevin Godley of 10cc, this shows how great Mick Tucker sounded to me back in those days. Just listen to his opening snare work on " Ballroom Blitz " absolutely world class and completely original. R.I.P.
He was wonderful. A real powerful style and presence. He looked like a very nice person too.
Yes he was, very loyal to the fans. Spoke with him in 1990...
I'm a Sweet fan for more than 50 years and Mick was a very underrated fantastic drummer and showman. Saw him twice perform and meet him in 1990. Got two drumsticks with his name on it. (thnx to Janet Tucker)
Mick was an awesome drummer. Underrated and in a league of his own!
Mick was an ace drummer.
He had a great technique and fantastic chops.
Ballroom Blitz was a classic.
A wonderful lovely man and incredible musical talent!! For me the best drummer of the 70s!! 💝
RIP sweetie will never ever forget you!! 💝😘
I lived near to Mick Tucker, a really unassuming nice guy
He did come across as a nice fella
Saw mick play live twice in 1981 and i have seen many bands since but none of the drummers came close to Mick Tucker a true great who left us to soon.🤩
Another great one 😎😍😥
My favourite drummer ever.
Mine too. Awesome drummer
Mick was absolutely underrated. He was incredible.
It’s so good to see this today. I’ve had a rough couple of days with a virus, I come back to UA-cam and see this straight away, it’s fantastic. The ins and outs of how a band comes together is fascinating. The thing that sticks with me is watching these guys in a documentary sounding like regular tradies, really down to earth. They understood theatre as well as music. This is brilliant!❤️
Thank you Deidre I hope you are on the mend and feel better very soon 🥰 Yes it's great learning about musicians and how they lived, it's so interesting and sometimes a little surprising! Take care of yourself and thanks for watching 🤗💕
@@HarmonyHeartsLifestyle-ul5yv you’re most welcome, l have a few to catch up on! I’m getting there, thankfully. Take care too🤗❤️
Mick was such a great drummer and I always will love Sweet's music. Such a big loss at such a young age. Rest in peace. ❤️❤️❤️🦋
❤ Mick ❤🥁
If he'd had hooked up with one of the big rock bands like iron maiden or black Sabbath he'd have been rated much higher and got the recognition he rightly deserved, amazing drummer who I never tire of listening to
I think I read somewhere that a poll was taken every year and Mick Tucker was voted the best drummer in the U.K. almost every year in the 1970's, beating out the likes of Ringo Starr, John Bonham and Keith Moon.
Carl palmer also recieved quite few trophies in the 70's for his drumming. Mick Tucker was also up there with the best drummers & quite rightly so. Ive recently been looking at the box set of the Sweet at Musik Laden, ! Mick had some awesome grooves going on & was a beast of a drummer.
Ist bis heute immer noch meine Band ❤
2what a fantastic video have a wonderful day also tomorrow is my dad birthday ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you and may your dad have the best birthday ever 🥳 Have a great day! 🌞🌷
I always thought of mick as the quiet 🤫 one of the group. In any event 54 years old is still far too young to leave this world !............
My absolute drumming hero. Thought I could follow your patterns, boy was I wrong. I tried my very best with "Give us a Wink".... failed miserably ! But my love and appreciation for everything Tucker, will always carry on. Good and safe journey, Michael. Always.... 😆🤗😊❤️💐
Mick was an outstanding drummer and big influence!
Великий барабанщик!!! Земля ему пухом!!!❤❤❤
The best Drummer all time❤
Согласен, полностью!
❤Mick❤The Best 🥁❤
Mick Tucker - это барабанщик от Бога ! Он действительно играл на барабанах.
One of the best drummers, the Uk ever produced period . Knowone twirled the sticks like Mick . Went far to young 😔
Ballroom Blitz is one awesome shuffle. Well thought out and played. Most drummers covering it dint get it right.
He was far stronger than his Band, a real outstanding Talent. I was so touched when this great guy had to die. Why does our lord allow this to Happen?
Big big drummer, and high-range backing vocalist.l think that Queen, took many show concepts from Sweet.
Mick Tukker/R.I.P./*\
Tommy Lee seemed to take a lot from this guy..
Tommy is fan of Mick.
As an amateur drummer myself I can tell you that Mick is not underrated at all.
I have yet to find a more ridiculous looking group.Kiss came close but these guys are the funniest of all.
Talent has nothing to do with looks son
Thats showbiz kid
