- I went creek fishing for trout with pink worms! I normally like to throw spinners, but I decided to switch it up and try something new. This was my first time ever using pink worms for trout fishing. These pink worms are great for trout fishing in creeks and streams. You can rig them a bunch of different ways. The trout love them!
THANK YOU so much for watching!

Nice job with the pink worms. It’s cool to see you catch brook trout on them. I mainly use them for rainbow trout, especially now since the rain is absolutely relentless and seems to persist in the forecast for weeks on end. the power worms a good lure for muddy conditions like you had to deal with in this video
I have that same reel and it’s amazing
For sure!
The pink worm gets em every time
Sweet rod and reel combo, and nothing like the sweet sound of a nice fish tearing out line against the drag. Nice channel cat too - they definitely put up a great battle. I've lucked into them a few times sipping dry flies from the surface when fishing for trout.
That reel's drag sounds beautiful. I love 6 footers
Excellent! Best trout fishing videos on the Internet. Already in bed watching your videos excited to go fishing tomorrow
Thanks! Best of luck to you!
I never get those pink worms to work. Glad to see you have success!
have you ever used pink mice tails they have them in four colors. just to help you out and also they have trout magnets are very helpful too...
I am absolutely sold on pink worms. Landed a 22 inch brown on a pink worm Easter Monday at a local creek.
That's crazy! Congrats!
They stock Brooktrout where you live? Every brook trout I ever caught was a native. You can tell when you cut them open and the meat is bright red.
Love them pink worms for trout, does good for us on our creeks
Caught my first Brown Trout today on a pink worm
I slid it up the hook and some of the line.
I like how you know what works in a spot, but are not afraid to try something new.
Best trout fishing videos on UA-cam. I get the "itch" as soon as I get a notification. I'm currently using a St. Croix premier ultra lite with a Shimano Spirex 500fa reel.
Thank you! Best of luck to you! I'm loving the St Croix
Great video those works work great for stocked trout
Thanks!
😍screaming drag killerpinkyworm.....love it...
A perfect day and fishing ultra light it don’t get any better
What a fun day! Great job.
I've been bluegill fishing a local lake and it is so damn fun!
For whatever reason the orange ones work best for me.
Terrific release footage as always!
Thanks :)
Nice to see this video using fake worms to catch brook trout so easily. I've only ever used nitecrawlers on my river. This video helped me think about using something else if I ever get the time to fish again. Merçi from northern New Brunswick.
Awesome! Best of luck to you! :)
Definitely a Channel Cat..they'll hit anything.
Another awesome video bro! Damn you got a ton of stocked brookies in your area!!! Near me stocked brook trout are very rare! Great video once again bro and can’t wait to hook up!!! Keep up the great videos! Know for a fact you’ll hit 50,000 in no time! 💯🎣🦈🐳
good fishing with the pink worm
Ive been enjoying watching your trout videos! I sometimes wish I still lived up north. We can only catch stocked rainbows during winter in Texas
Yes I love those worms. I have been using the bubble gum color. A little less pink.
Very cool!!!!!Congratulations from France👍👍👍
Another great video! Have a good day! Can't wait to go fishing in the morning. Lol.
Kra with tentacles in Thailand is called catfish.
Awesome man love the trout videos .
Fish on man!💪🏼🎣
Bro I love your vids I’m from central pa that was a mud cat
the Diawa BG 1500 is a GREAT reel for trout
Nice catch. Nice fishing rod. 👍👍
Awesome buddy! Those are some pretty catfish!
Thanks buddy!
Your welcome buddy!
Pink worms= pink lovin’ trout!
Awesome vid bro, sadly I can’t go fishing for a month. It’s cabin fever all over again👌🏾👌🏾
Thanks bro! Dang, that sucks. Hope you can get out there soon!
Anytime bro, I really hope I can get on the water soon 🎣🎣🎣
A friend of mine showed me those this year the mouse tails in pink caught a lot of trout on them good stuff
Great show 💥
Tighten up that drag! Just twisting the line doing that.. js
I was thinking the same thing, the bg1500 is only 4lb max drag, there is hardly a need to not have it locked down.
Today was opening day in Wisconsin for trout. In 5 hours I caught 40 to 50 fish. Kept 3 15in brown trout. I did lose 4 fish in that 16 to 20in range though.
tighten the drag, its way too loose
Nice fish 👍👍👍
Thanks!
Great video 👍🏻
Thanks for the video @FishHawk... I like to fish similar to this way but do you have any tips for reducing snags with this method?
try lighter split shot. keep rod tip up. it's a lot of "feel" to it. Practice makes perfect. I still get snagged sometimes lol
Fish on Baby :) :) You Rock
Where did you get your fishing rod from? so nice
Why do you use fluorocarbon as your main line, rather than just the trace?
I wanna get a ultra light or light rod but here in Canada their r never just trout and even the trout can be up to 10lbs+ and u also run the risk of hooking into a bull trout which can get up to 20lbs do u have any recommendations for what I can do
Don't keep reeling when you hear the drag, your just twisting your line. Either tighten the drag, or let your rod do the work.
Can you please help me out and tell me what you have to do in that situation?
I have the brown (natural?) Color ones, and they were perfect for getting my daughter on her first fish. I think we used a size 4 baitholder, and a half inch section of worm.
That's great! They seem to work well.
No lie i had that "no way" moment with the wacky rig. Ive been thinking im gonna try that at the creek here next week lol
wasn’t expecting the catfish lol and keep it up man can you try and do some catch and cooks ???
Do you think they go harder for the trout magnet or a soft plastic worm?
about the same
I have fish wilson creek for most of my 66 years l have caught more fish on nightcrawler and corn than any power bait worm I dont say they wont work I just get better results on this and 2 inch smelt minnows
Keep it up man
If you get a chance try the atomic teaser by berkley orange and white color i crush trout with these...
What size hook were you using?
That was fun. I've got that pink worm but no luck yet.
That's surprising! Maybe your trout are smarter than mine lol
Do you just let them drift on the bottom?
yes
When you wacky worm those pink worms, is it one and done? What happens if you go back to a spinner, do you throw away the used worm? I like the underwater releases. What size and what kind of hook do you use for trout?
no, I caught multiple trout on same worm. I put used worms back in pack for next time. Size 10 hook
Thanks for answering my questions. So many people make videos but never answer your questions. I appreciate the education.
You should use a slid Wight
How much difference between brown and a brook
Great video my man
Thanks man!
What size hook do you use
That catfish is strong for its size
Where is this creek? Looks awesome...
West Virginia
Hi. New in fresh water fishing.
As you reel in the worm how come the rig doesn't get stuck with the bottom debris??
Love your videos. Learning a lot.
Stay safe.
It does get stuck sometimes. But the bottom of the creek was small pebbles and sand. So there isn't much to get stuck on. You kind of have to "feel" the bottom with your rod. You will feel the sinker bumping on the bottom. If it's getting stuck a lot go with a lighter sinker. I hope that helps. Hard to explain through text.
Great video! i'm getting the itch for high waters. I am curious. i noticed all the debris at the bottom of the river, how many hooks and sinkers do you loose? I feel that I'd loose a lot with all the debris at the bottom. Again, great video.
Thank you! I believe I lost a couple sinkers and hooks. You have to find the right weight so that it's barely bouncing on the bottom. Light enough for the current to move it but heavy enough to stay close to the bottom. If you get stuck you can normally walk up stream past where you're stuck, and it will come loose. If the hook buries into wood, it is probably a goner lol
Fish shawn.... gets me every time lol good catches
Iv had some good luck with them but usually when they stocked
How many times u are chatching these fish.
Hey Guys, I have a question (for anyone whos willing to answer it), I usually fish with spinners, crankbaits, etc... I seldom fish with live baits, because often trout swallow the hooks and then you know theyre gonna die after you release them, which really bothers me unless I know we are gonna cook a few... I notice in your vids, even using these small powrbait worms, in a strong current, deeper water and a lot of weight, their arent swallowing any hooks. Is there a "key" to that? I was thinking maybe your Line must be 2 or 4 Lb test so its just more sensitive and can be felt quicker (?) Maybe the way you are hooking the worms? Anyway, thanks for any info
I've only used the worms with a split shot weight and a small drop shot hook. Also, I've only fished them in current. So the worm is not sitting still where the fish can easily suck it in and swallow it. It's more of a reaction strike. I do use 4 lb test line and I can feel any small tick. My rod is also pretty sensitive. I set the hook as soon as I feel a bite. I wacky rig the worm. Hope that helps :)
Did you buy those pink worms online?
walmart
What size split shot on the line? How deep does trout like in a stream?
it just depends on the water you're fishing. Trout like to stay close to the bottom. I keep my bait as close to the bottom as possible.
Sweet! That was a channel cat, really tasty! Under water footage is awesome!
tiny channel cat..lol.. they get alot bigger , good eaters too.
I wanted to know where is the creek your fishing at. Keep up the great vids!
He didn’t know until someone told him afterwards 🐠
What size hook?
your weeding ring is awesome, do you mind sharing where you got it from?
Thanks! Groove Rings
Nice video
Do trout like fast shallow rocky bottom ie riffles?
Yes
Hi austin
It's a good thing I live 3hours away or I'd get fired from work. Center of the fishing. Elkins WV cant wait to return once again.
Tighting your drag
lol I couldn't tighten if too much. I was only using 4 lb test line
Fish yon
You bought a 6 foot st.croix why not get a 10-11 foot especially cause you fish spinners a lot longer rods are better I think cause you can make longer casts with just a little flick so you can get to places other people can’t
when you used. worms you have jig them so that it caches the fishes eye. I used them too so yeah. I watch your youtube channel all the time.. have you ever fish Utah before I have to say you missing out
Thanks for watching. I have not fished Utah. Hope to some day.
Hey Hawk, first let me say that I truly appreciate your videos. Being from FL we don't have access to trout. Still I have a recommendation, try not to touch the fish when you release them. Trout have an extremely delicate slime coat which protects them from disease and parasite infestation. Touching the Trout removes this coat and enables disease and other potentially deadly infestation. Just a thought...
Thank you. I appreciate it. I only touch them with wet hands so that I do not remove their slime coat.
Hey man when's that giveaway happening?
Eat eat eat them
Can you make a mouse tail video please
This shows that fish have to have time to revive rather than just tossing them back in as so many do.
PK
Hi troy
The underwater view tho...
That daiwa bg is a sweet reel
I love it!
@@FishHawk yeah I have the 2500 you should try the sharky kastking gold in 1000 that's also a sweet little reel
So... set your drag?!
yeah, it was set a little loose. I was using 4 lb test line.
Please tighten the drag, you're begging a fish to wrap around roots or bushes. It's not a bluefin. Lol
Lol I know I know. I was using 4 lb test and there is a strong current. I should have tightened it a bit though.
Its fun to fish ultralight like that thugh
Looks like you had fun but please learn how to set your drag properly.
You need to learn how to use the drag.
I sent you some homemade spinners to the address you have listed but they came back
That's weird. PO BOX 29, Bunker Hill, WV 25413 .... I will call post office on Monday and make sure everything is okay.
I had the same setup I was killing small mouth with that
