I drove for 35 years in northern ca, Pete’s, KW’s, International’s, Mack’s, whatever the company bought, Georgia Pacific for 28 years, Louisiana Pacific for 7. I learned on a Brownie, speed shifting using the Jake brake. When I retired from 35 years with the Teamsters, I was driving a Mack with an automatic transmission. It was like driving a 500 hp pickup truck with a 45’ trailer behind it. Trucks changed over those years.

Well, to be honest I was an okay driver but I wasn't 100% confident like my dad and brother are and y'all three drive alike. No GPS and just know where you're going lol. My dad died about 13 years ago and I swear, I was watching Thelma and Louise and my damn dad shows up in that movie! He was exactly like the tanker driver. I'm shocked I got an ajucation. Anyway, back to the point. I'm listening to this video with 5.1, 7.1 and headphones. If i lay on my couch and shut my eyes I fall asleep it's like I'm back in a truck again. Oh, I'm disabled/retired now. Anyway, keep up the good work and maybe someday get you one of them drones to scan areas and they make some cool photos. Some dude named High Strung does those types of photos and they are cool. But hey, stay safe out there and Thank You fort all your hard work.

I’ve owned a 97 Ford F-250 7.3 psd, 5speed, short box, 411rear for 24 years ..Basically stock , 4” down pipe , mild hyper tech tuner, Banks cold air intake.. which made the turbo really whistle and sing .. One day I was pulling my boat somewhere, from Colorado Springs out to lake of the Ozarks or something, anyway suddenly it hit me … I haven’t even thought about turning on the stereo.. in fact I could not remember the last time I listened to the stereo in that truck.. Didn’t take long to figure out why !?! I sub consciously became hypnotized by the sound of that 7.3 and the whine of the turbo pipe.. You guys should go and check out high strung vlog for the best sounding truck on youtube bro
@@jomabrown3132 been there.
@@jomabrown3132 too bad he's not making videos at the moment.
He's one of the best shifters in the United States that has a UA-cam channel. Nobody else really comes close. Amazing to watch.
@@martin1234512345 yeh bro he lost his cdl so hes not driving at the moment and that truck is for sale as well
Thanks 4 the ride mate, awesone dwnshifting, love the jacobs sound. Regards from Chile
When I clicked on the video I was hoping it was going to be a C15 haha love the truck man and good driving.
I miss those days when I was a truck driver for 12 years over the road the sound of a Jake brake reminded me of those wonderful times that I miss
Bravo, great driving skills kid. Could never grow old of the ol kitty.
What a nice place. İmagine living in one of the houses on the side of the road, what a peaceful place it is.
It's so satisfying the way you shift gears! So gentle and caring for the truck
Such a pleasure to watch!!
Seeing all those meters makes me want to be a truck driver (of a Peterbilt of course)
Hope I can see one of those if I go to America someday!!
Great video!! :)
Cheers from Brazil!!
I cant stand the pete clutch. Let alot this idiots tall boy shifter.
I have always been fascinated by these American beasts, the unearthly sound of these engines is magical, greetings from Poland, a fan of American beasts
Something oddly satisfying about watching you drive and looking forward! Maybe because I drove a large car ---in my other life, lol. Be cool, Be safe!
This is old school at its finest! This guy can drive truck!
One of most beautiful sounds in existence 😍. Makes me hate the quiet DD13 in the truck I drive now 🤣
But I’ll bet the fuel mileage is better
What a driving wow . By the way . The view is really narrow . Sound. Turbo. Jake brake . Stunning
Sounds very cool annnnd driven by one of the coolest truckers on the road! 🤘
Sweet sounding Cat just listening to it is soooo relaxing
Wow...what a great sound!😃 I come from Germany, American trucks rarely drive here. I saw one of them, a Peterbilt, on the German Autobahn... I gave a thumbs up and made a hand signal to honk! Had he really honked! ...and then really accelerated...😳
I thought my heart would stop. Wow, it was going fast, definitely more than 70 miles per hour. Here you can only go 50 miles per hour. Well, this is Europe... I just like American trucks because they're just different... I like rustic. Even my off-road vehicle is rustic, I hate frills with a full computer in the car. This is not my world.
Greetings from Germany, have a good time and have a wonderful time and a safe trip with Peterbilt :). Greetings from TOM
Love the ivory wheel and stick. Buttery smooth and relaxing. Thanks for sharing! Pro.
Nothing beats scania v8 straight pipe sound, just my opinion.Your Peterbuilt sounds nice too, great video, excellent driving.Cheers!
A sorcerer with his staff. Wonderful driving skills
Love the sound of ur ole Pete, but the N14 will always be my favorite, jakes and all, c16 is lovely too
Amen.. only thing that I would change on this truck is put in a Cummins
@@RunGargleswap out a Cat for a cummins? No way
That turbo whistle would do my head in !
I'm just catching up to your videos. dude, besides my dad, brother and myself you are the best driver out there. I see all the confidence in you.
Just plain smooth and calculated. A+
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 thank you I really enjoy your videos it’s like being in the truck with you thank you for sharing this 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Greetings from Sweden! Without trucks and truck drivers the world economy would collapse within a few weeks... Truck drivers make the world go round. Thanks to all of you 👍
I love a cat growl. I would also add to the list the Mack E9 Super Dog engine! I have a b model cat in my Pete and love it. My W9 has 7's on it with a 12.7 detroit running a borg 171702 and a full tilt manifold. It peaks around 50 psi on a full pull
That Ole peterbuilt sound sò good smooth driver shifting gear he takes care of his truck for sure great. Driving that peterbuilt thanks for respecting your machine
this is the stuff I enjoy!! Beautiful sounding truck! 😄😁
Love the whistling turbo
I love the sound of that caterpillar engine. My dad drives a 2005 Peterbilt 379, 475 horsepower acert C15 and 18 gears, man that thing sounds so good.
I love this! You are really in tune with the machine, that's obvious, and the drive has a hypnotic effect, really smooth. I used to drive Caterpillar tractors on my grandfather's ranch when I was kid, I really miss it. What a sound.
He's an owner operator he takes pride in his ride if I was in his position I'd baby that truck every day I see alot of owner opps that don't take care of thier trucks always on the hammer smashing gears cause they think thier so cool but this guy he's a professional 😊
Dude, That Jacob screaming after you downshifted to 7th between 5:15 and 5:45. 🥰
and the acceleration after that, could here that C15 working and vibrating, Love it. 😍
Hi from Quebec (please dont hate me) 😂
masterful driving of a masterpiece ..great ride thanks
This Truck Sounds like Freedom❤
Beautiful country. Awesome ride, thanks!
Peter sure builds nice trucks!
I don’t drive her much anymore but I do think about the sound when I do ..
That Pete is one smooth operator .. driven with style .. I hope you’re getting paid very well my friend.. demand it!! You deserve it.. say no to automatic , say oh hell no to electric !!
Always ride the defense and take care boys !!
Nice sounding Pete 👌 gotta love a 13 speed
Great sounding truck hypnotic and your shifting is smooth professional 👍👍
If not the best, ONE of THE BEST for sure! Love to see you operate that machine and that sound!
Herrlich der Sound,er fehlt mir heute so!
I get to drive a Kenworth T408 SAR in Australia. It's got a 625 Cat Acert in it, sport mufflers. Yours sounds amazing.
Love watching this video. You sir are doing well and are so calm and easy going . Keep up the good work and you sir should be paid more than you get for taking care of your truck . May our Lord always be with you always drive safely. And May you always find low fuel prices wherever you have to go.
Love the Jake Brake sound. I think I would get the Allison Transmission. Save a LOT of gear changing work.
😂
That CAT sound sweeet!👍 I hear a vibration or small rattle when you're about 1,600 or 1,700 RPM, is that the exhaust? Last week tearing up the track & now you're back in the big Pete.
Next time I watch a video with a awesome sounding truck, I will come back and add a link for ya.😎
Yeah I have a feeling it’s in just behind the dash, because it was being picked up by the mic up by the dash. Now I need to rip everything apart to find it! 😂
Great video and nice sounding truck . Really smooth shifting also thanks for the video . Stay safe
Can you actually look over your dashboard? You're sitting so low.
Well obviously he can
Kiddies booster seat might help
@@_PrayUpNot obvious at all
@@acptelford1307 how? Our view is not his view…
Roster cruiser sits low in the seat something today truck drivers don’t even know what a rooster cruiser is.Those that do know is what I mean when I say whoop whoop
Nice driving . I`m a truck driver in Norway 50-60 ton semi truck and b double . I also drive carefully and let the engine work and the gearbox gear when it feel right after 28 years on the road it all goes smooth i will say. Still learning new stuff about driving . It is a life style .
