Great video. Would’ve loved to see the $299 Toro 51822 Leaf Blower kit with the 4AH battery on here. And another thing to consider before buying any of these would be the expansiveness of the battery line as well. For tool variety, Milwaukee or Dewalt runs laps around EGO all day. For strictly OPE, I’d go EGO hands down, the most powerful of the bunch.
@@Kitearmy There are a lot of us that appreciate your time, efforts, money and enthusiasm to help us make informed decisions on our battery powered lawn equipment! Thank you!!
This was a pretty cool test. I bought the Ryobi 730CFM for $299 with the two batteries and rapid charger. I was invested in the system with a mower and weed eater. Doing it all over again, I would have gone with Ego. Their mowers, weed eaters, and blowers are loaded with technology and their performance is clearly the best. Sadly I just didn’t have a Lowe’s near me!
Love my ego blower Andrew,,you could put the ego 12 amp battery in it for way longest run time,,,I do like putt my ego backpack 28 amp battery goes for 3 hours on high,,nice video,,,👍👍
I believe that gas leaf blowers are better if you have a yard bigger than 1/4 acre because battery leaf blowers usually only last 5-15 min on turbo and that is the setting where people want to use their leaf blowers most. I personally have a stihl br800 and I just couldn’t go to battery and sacrifice the power and runtime. Also, I feel like once the battery pack goes out the price of a new one is a lot. And for these reasons I will stick with gas lawn power equipment.
@@Kitearmy if I were going to think about going battery powered in the future if things on my previous comment changed in the years to come, I would definitely value your review videos as part of my purchase decision.
About 15 year's ago I bought a battery drill for my work. About 50 Carpenters looked so sarcastic because I was using it, but not so long after that they were all using battery-powered tools too.
@Kite Army just saw this review loved it. I wish companies would get real about pricing and fairness. I was able to get a great deal on the Dual battery Milwaukee $300 comes with 2 freesix amp hour batteries. Let’s just call it 100 bucks each tool and battery all. Just wish we were giving realistic prices for the residential market on all of these things. But love the review! My Tool addiction is calling. Would love to get the Stihl equivalent. But their prices make Milwaukee look cheap!
Would love to see the run times of all the 3 categories compared to each other, was there any in the other 2 groups that had longer run times and more power than the 300+ group?

I feel like you really missed the mark by not including the greenworks blowers in these tests. Greenworks has an 80v 730 cfm and a 60v 700 cfm both for cheaper than all of the ones shown. The ego is a great blower for sure but needs to be put to some closer competition
I agree this would help people make an informed decision based on the fact that many battery blowers are now good at moving leaves and some are a tremendous value and will get the job done no problem. You can find 600 CFM + blowers for under $90 new lots of places.
Hey Brett - reasonable comment too. I wish i had of done that - I just selected the top selling blowers at lowes and Home Depot. Somehow I think Greenworks is pulling out of those stores???
@@Kitearmy I think they are focusing on dtc and online only. I've been using their 700 cfm 60v for a few weeks now and think it's a fair competitor to the ego.
I liked the video albeit it was very simplistic. But if your going to say this is the outlaw class, I would have liked to see comparisons to the pro brands like Stihl, echo, husky, etc etc
Ok, so here's what I'm wondering...what kind of batteries do YOU run on??? Where do you get you energy bro!? Another informative and entertaining video 😁👍 I have to agree with the comment about the height of the tips of the blowers not being in line though. Also, I like the idea of Ryobi including a 2nd battery even though I'm now part of the "EGO Club", being the owner of an EGO mower now. 😜 Bwahaha! 8:54 "...snow stools..." That might have been a word misspoken but do you know how important stools are in a workshop or garage? I'm SO glad you brought up the point. I have an old milk crate with a foam cushion screwed on to it and I used it constantly! As I get older, I hate having to stoop or bend down especially for any amount of time and when I do sometimes my knees lock up and it's very painful to "unlock them" ( doctor tells me a tendon gets caught on a bone protrusion and it's very painful to release it...seriously! ) so I drag my "stool" to wherever I have to be down with bent knees for any amount of time. And I do use it in the snow when I have to work on my stinky, ICE snowblower so I guess you could call it a "snow stool" at that point. So, who doesn't have a stool? A guy with good knees I guess. So whether they're power stools, snow stools, rolling stools or whatever...Stools For The Win!...Save The Knees! Glad you saved the most important info for the end...🤣🤣🤣 Cheers, John
I think the issue comes down to their batteries, they are committed to the M 18 battery size. That just can’t compete with the massive batteries that ego is shipping
I have the smaller milwaukee. It's perfect. But i live in the city, where the yard is small, so having anything bigger will be overdoing it. BTW, I got it for 159 with free 5aH battery, so it was well worth it for me.

I have not but I can say that this is made for cat by someone else and the specs are not as high - the EGO is 200mph at 765cfm 60V of power, 170 MPH of airspeed, and 800 CFM of air
Looked to me that the tips of the blowers were not all at the exact same height..the Ego was slightly higher and the Milwaukee on the right was slightly lower than the others. It would have helped to have the actual run times as well. Great to see who could keep the balls going but not so helpful when you dont see how long.

I saw that combo kit for 229 the other day. I would of bought it if I hadn't had one already. But eventually the grinder kit combo with same 2 6aH with charger, popped up again. Picked that one up for the 2 6ah I wanted for my other tools. But that's how milwaukee get you addicted to buying their products.
@@Kitearmy I actually like it. For us city folks who barely have a yard, the EGO's power is pointless as we have no leaves to blow, just grass clippings, and brake dust. For us the Milwaukee is great, not to mention their variable speed, weight , and their battery works with all my power tools also. EGO is just too big, heavy, and their charger is loud. But If you need something to move leaves, that's for you, for me, Milwaukee.
