Yea I'm seeing this, his stats are on point over almost thirty years now. that's really incredible. it really shows his dominance over every player in his time, and I have to be for real to today's players as well.
Man, I keep telling people the best Jordan was the 80's Jordan. That mix tape was like every night! Lebron will never have a highlight tape like Jordan's.
i cant even see how they could even compare MJ with Lebron, they aren't even in the same league. MJ should be by himself on a mount Rushmore made for him and Kobe, Bird, Wilt under him. When the bulls were in the championship with the jazz, I got to see him play. Jazz may have been the home team for where I was living, but you knew it was gonna be the bulls. Jordan was just that good.
Most of the time his dunks and hanging layups were on 7fters, with help. MJ had a target on his back, they beat him down, and he still destroyed them all
man, I think they hate him and faired him. They hat that they couldn't stop him, and he rubbed their face in it. he even trashed talked on the video that the player that was playing him couldn't guard him. Also like you said, they feared that if they got him too mad, he would go crazy on the point. What you think?
Lived in Chicago my whole life I got to see the 🐐 play live at least 15 times at the old stadium on Madison and the United center best time to be a basketball fan ever.. I only rooted against MJ once that's when the cubs played the white Sox in what was exhibition games back then lol
These highlights aren't all the best one's. This was every night. And to answer your question, he had 9 first team all defense awards. And when you said "He looked like he got smacked in the face." That was Orlando Wolridge. He was a beast. He played for the bulls and got 24p 20 rebs in the game MJ scored 63 against the Celtics. If you look up the full highlight you'll see that Wolridge had a big smile on his face:)
thanks for answering my thoughts, sorry for responding back so late had a lot of comments to go through. thanks again. he broke the book on records it would seem.
what scared the hell out of defenders was Jordan's first step. it was so fast he'd be dunking it before his defender's feet even move in response to that first step. that's why his shoulder fakes on those fades were so deadly. everyone bit hard on them. giving him all the room he needed on his fades.
Yeaa you are right, I realized that after seeing the defenders reacted a second and a half after MJ made his move. Subscribe for future videos, will make more on Jordan and Kobe.
Little known story of the 63 against Boston He went out golfing with Ainge before the game and had a TERRIBLE golf game. He was pissed at the end of the game Told Ainge You are in for a long night! 63 Dude is a legend
Yea I Hurd that story. Didn't he walk to the other team's locker room and told him that? Like he wanted to make a statement to the other team's locker room. MJ was something else. Like I said, disrespectful.
For me it is Jordan, Bird, and Kobe in that order! Lebron is somewhere in the top 7 to 10 range! Jordan was on a whole different level than all of them!
What people who only saw Kobe don't realize (and lightweight _can't comprehend_ ... it's weird even writing this myself) is that Mike was _on a whole other level_ athletically, but had the same mindset, and was basically the Kobe template. Kobe's career stats are closer to his _Wizards_ stats at damn near 40 than his career stats. I think LeBron probably has the greatest overall career when all is said and done, but Mike had the highest peak level performance of any player I've seen or really even heard about aside from Wilt Chamberlain.
I think you pretty much nailed it here. Kobe had the mental focus, work ethic and will but he wasn’t as laterally quick or as lightning quick with the first step, couldn’t jump as high to alter his shots as ridiculously well on the fly as MJ, wasn’t as physically strong and had smaller hands, so he shot a lower percentage. Lebron will end up with most of the records and stats through impressive longevity but 88-93 Jordan is probably the most unstoppable two way player and clutch shot killer ever, and 96-98 Jordan is still the best player at the time and where Kobe eventually approached the neighborhood of being. Younger Jordan though approaching 90-91 was just blazing fast, flying to the basket at will and fundamentally sound with the sweet fadeaway jumper already but had such rocket skates and lift that he didn’t need to rely on the post up game as much. He became more efficient and crafty, with less risky passing in the air in the second 3 peat but he was a complete beast on offense and defense in the first 3 peat and the 2-3 years leading up to it, he just needed another all-star all-around player. Once he finally had that level player when Scottie matured and toughened up the Bulls were undeniable. Hell, they probably would’ve made it to the finals in 89-90 if Pippen didn’t have a migraine in game 7 against the Pistons.
Yeaa it's funny after watching this mix tape I realized that he was average shooter. The funny thing, when I looked into it. If he played now, he would be a great three point shooter. The game back then didn't focus on that part of the game but all around.
Dont forget, in the time before social media, we only saw Jordan in person or on TV. He showed everyone what he was about in his play. Every night tho. Plus no matter whether you were a nba fan or not, you knew who he was and wanted to see him play. He is on a short list, Babe, Ali and Jordan. Trancended the sport. No one like him.
I just subscribed mainly bc of the honesty in your reactions. It's kinda hard to say someone even might be better than the one you grew up seeing...I know how it feels, when he beat majic, worthy, scott, a c green... but I just had to.(honestly)
One thing you young guys gotta understand. Back then you would get a hard foul often. Headlock, slammed to the floor, they were fighting while playing the game. Kobe didn't have to deal with that. And LeBron has it real easy. If that Jordan played today. He would average 40 to 50 points per game easy.
Man, I hate every one of you people who say Michael Jordan shouldn't have switched hands on the LA lakers. You act like you wouldn't style on your competition if you were good enough to do so... The problem is you're not good enough to do it so you have to hate on a man who is good enough to do it... For that matter what makes you qualified over Michael Jordan to decide what the best play for him was in that situation? Most people I watch who react to this mixtape always say that Jordan shouldn't have switched hands but it is the basketball equivalent of hating on a guy because he's got a nicer car than you. It's almost like you just hating on him because you can't make that play...
For some reason nobody ever reacts to essential jordan content..that channel gives you jordan from beginning to end in bunches. Highlights of MJ each year
Hi Red Hot, I'll check it out. Always looking for new things to review and respond to. If you or anyone else have any suggestions. You all can always let me know. I might just make a video on it. Hope you enjoy my other videos and shorts.
A 72-win season, and against that level of competition... The Dude simply balled out at the highest level. Jordan was always moving about on the court, hmm, Dell Curry (played during Jordan's era), that's where Steph gets it from.
Everyone says that switch hands, was disrespectful, but, Jordan said he saw someone from the other team come up on him and he switched hands to move the ball away from the other player possibly interfering.
No comparison! Pure domination n I seen every game. It was Jordan’s playground. I also liked how he saw it with unbiased eyes n actually saw the difference. The dominance. The defense. Not that there was no defense. 🤦🏽♂️ he made defenders flustered. The way he saw it was rough. That he had hang time. The reverse. S#!+ mfs ain’t did. Since him. JORDAN IS HOOP GOD!
I absolutely agree man, RIP Kobe. Let me know what videos you want me to do, if you haven't subscribed make sure you do for future notifications of new vid's.
Was thinking the same, was going to say that on the second video but I didn't. Until I saw how good Kobi got when he asked Jordan and other players for help. Then I realized that MJ was just human with amazing natural skills, with a undying dizier to be the best at all cost. The only way he achieved what he did was through hard, hard work and luck that he didn't destroy his body through all of it.
@@tysmoviereviews5702 Luck? he had good genes.. too bad Lebron wont put HIS body to the test so we can see if he could play at 100 mph ALL THE TIME and STILL play 20 seasons.. Jordan also was a gym rat.. working out ALL THE TIME (thanks to the pistons for beating him up during the 80s for that)
I still get chills watching his highlights. Crazy thing is that he did this every game. He was the best 2 way player I've ever seen. His killer instinct, his drive to never lose, his demeanor when he crossed onto the court was friend or not I'm going to destroy you. He was the total package. He is the Goat. I have seen Magic and Bird and so on and Jordan took it to a whole new level. Kobe is the closest we have seen to Jordan not LeFlop. Kobe had those same qualities that Jordan had but Kobe was the Carbon copy just not as perfect as the original. Rip Mamba.
@11:21 Rick Adelman told the Blazers to let Jordan shoot threes in that FINALS game. He thought it was some genius plan to stop Jordan... And it wasn't six threes in the game, it was six threes in the first half. They had to basically tackle him in the second half and he still made Clyde Drexler look D-League... So many of these reactions miss this.
Lol I didn't really know the history behind the 6threes. I had to watch the documentary to realize the chess match between MJ and the other teams cotch at the time. Overall, MJ was so dynamic and amazing, what other player could even do the same thing and still win and still be spoken about it decades later. Let me know what videos you want me to do, if you haven't subscribed make sure you do for future notifications of new vid's.
You're correct about the reason he left basketball his father was a huge baseball fan and wanted MJ to play when he was younger so it was a tribute to his dad and of course he'd conquered the mountain of the NBA after the 3 peat
Now imagine LIVING through the 90s, we were all out there in the streets and on the road mingling, no phones pure human contact, We had the Michael Jordan we had Michael Jackson (and much much more) and living life was a buzz and people weren't so sensitive...Jordan is just a tiny example of what has been lost...
Meet the G. O. A. T of all G. O. A. Ts. We call him Black Jesus, Air Jordan, His Airness, flight 23 or the greatest b-ball player in the history of the game.
Hey David fortuin, I never Hurd of flight 23 reference but it makes perfect sense for MJ lol. Hope you enjoyed my video response. I didn't realize he was that good until I saw this mix tape.
@@tysmoviereviews5702 good is an understatement, MJ was a psychopath, a sore loser obsessed with wining and demanded the same energy of his team mates and came across as an asshole. He had an insane work ethic and drive to not just to win but dominate the opposition. There are a lot of urban legend stories of MJ out there, look them up. A guy from an opposing team after a game the Bulls lost said " good game Mike" MJ flipped it in his head and took it as a dig instead of a compliment, the next game MJ torched them so badly it and the story spread out like wildfire.

Jordan wasn't just a good defender, he was a great defender. And yeah its something you rarely see in great players today. Many are great on offense but average to bad on defense. Simply because defense isn't as important to many players in today's game.

After 20 years Mike is still 3rd in steals and 5th in points! 5th in points, all made with minimal 3's... thank You my Friend!
Yea I'm seeing this, his stats are on point over almost thirty years now. that's really incredible. it really shows his dominance over every player in his time, and I have to be for real to today's players as well.
A GREAT DEFENDER!!!!
Hi John Roop, I was surprised that how good he was at a defender. I just thought he was a great points guy.
Man, I keep telling people the best Jordan was the 80's Jordan. That mix tape was like every night! Lebron will never have a highlight tape like Jordan's.
Exactly goat debate was never a debate at all 😏
i cant even see how they could even compare MJ with Lebron, they aren't even in the same league. MJ should be by himself on a mount Rushmore made for him and Kobe, Bird, Wilt under him. Let me know what videos you want me to do, if you haven't subscribed make sure you do for future notifications of new vid's.
When the bulls were in the championship with the jazz, I got to see him play. Jazz may have been the home team for where I was living, but you knew it was gonna be the bulls. Jordan was just that good.
Most of the time his dunks and hanging layups were on 7fters, with help. MJ had a target on his back, they beat him down, and he still destroyed them all
Never forget the greatness of Bugsy Mogue.
Base savagery!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Jordan started the long shorts, took advertising, and shows to a new level
They didn’t hate him they feared him. Everyone was afraid he’d go off for 60 on them or make them look silly
man, I think they hate him and faired him.
MJ goat, great reaction. Subbing for sure.
Thanks for the sub!
THE GOAT
I think for me, Jordan and Kobe will always be my top 2.
what scared the hell out of defenders was Jordan's first step. it was so fast he'd be dunking it before his defender's feet even move in response to that first step. that's why his shoulder fakes on those fades were so deadly. everyone bit hard on them. giving him all the room he needed on his fades.
Yeaa you are right, I realized that after seeing the defenders reacted a second and a half after MJ made his move. Subscribe for future videos, will make more on Jordan and Kobe.
Little known story of the 63 against Boston
He went out golfing with Ainge before the game and had a TERRIBLE golf game. He was pissed at the end of the game
Told Ainge
You are in for a long night!
63
Dude is a legend
Yea I Hurd that story. Didn't he walk to the other team's locker room and told him that? Like he wanted to make a statement to the other team's locker room. MJ was something else. Like I said, disrespectful.
@Ty's Movie Reviews that was against the hawks, after he was outplayed by Wilkins
For me it is Jordan, Bird, and Kobe in that order! Lebron is somewhere in the top 7 to 10 range! Jordan was on a whole different level than all of them!
Your idol has an idol, yore watching him
What people who only saw Kobe don't realize (and lightweight _can't comprehend_ ... it's weird even writing this myself) is that Mike was _on a whole other level_ athletically, but had the same mindset, and was basically the Kobe template.
You can only show soo much Respect to your Opponents in this Level of the Game of Basketball
Everyone who says Michael couldn’t shoot threes clearly has never seen MJ play before for real. Just statistic warriors
No one like him.
i wish players today had the drive that MJ had. now they take a week off for a chipped nail.
I just subscribed mainly bc of the honesty in your reactions. It's kinda hard to say someone even might be better than the one you grew up seeing...I know how it feels, when he beat majic, worthy, scott, a c green... but I just had to.(honestly)
Thank you, it means a lot.
One thing you young guys gotta understand. Back then you would get a hard foul often. Headlock, slammed to the floor, they were fighting while playing the game. Kobe didn't have to deal with that. And LeBron has it real easy. If that Jordan played today. He would average 40 to 50 points per game easy.
welcome to Flight23, meet your captain Mr Michael Jordan
I honestly dont think LBJ would've done well vs those 90s Knicks teams or any of those forwards with the rules back then
Man, I hate every one of you people who say Michael Jordan shouldn't have switched hands on the LA lakers.
It's almost like you just hating on him because you can't make that play...
awesome. now you'll see where Kobe got his knowledge.
Flight No23 - Power, technic, elegance, precise - do not go further.
MJ is #1 and Kobe is #2. I hated Kobe at first until I respected his work ethic. RIP Kobe.
Kobe learned his footwork from MJ, that’s why nobody will ever come close to the Legends
Rest in peace kobe Jordan had a complete game money😮
I absolutely agree man, RIP Kobe. Let me know what videos you want me to do, if you haven't subscribed make sure you do for future notifications of new vid's.
i legit used to believe he had a pact with the devil.. nobody could be THAT good..
Jordan also was a gym rat.. working out ALL THE TIME (thanks to the pistons for beating him up during the 80s for that)
He was angry at those Detroit bad boys!!! He seemed to elevate even higher against them
Yeaa you would too, if they were smacking you in the back of the head. when you were driving to the hoop.
That guy at 7:56 was Orlando Wooldrige his former teammate from Bulls and he knewed that Jordam got him🤣🤣
Really thanks, now I know. The management really loved to play games at that time. Trading people and acquiring different free agents.
The best 2 way player to ever play the game of basketball
THESE PRESENT DAY BALLERS DON'T EXIST WITHOUT MJ DOING HIS THING. RIPMAMBA, RESPECT LEBRON, BUT THEY GOT "THAT KILLER" FROM MIKE!!!
There is no Kobe (R.I.Power), without MJ.
Yes R.I.P Kobe you made your mark on the court and in life that will be remembered.
It's going loud, and quiet, loud, and quiet!!!!
Also the game where he Shattered the Bck Glass.
Somebody give this dude some subscribers. Damn guys
Yeah subscribe...help a brother out
Just subbed and gave the man some love
@@linorestrepolobo3620 thanks I appreciate it. Love being here and doing these videos and reactions. It helps my channel out alot overall. Thanks again.
That Barkley Suns team was so stacked.
That was the original super team.
I mean that didn't come together organically.
That team was assembled.
They won like 65 games that season.
And it wasn't enough.
watch the hang time in the air, and the way he can hold the ball in one hand and maneuver it like a volleyball.
Kobe idolized Jordan... no Jordan no Kobe
Michael Jordan didn't make his high school basketball team because he was told he "wasn't good enough". So, he worked on his game!
He attacks the rim to exert his dominance like when a lion pisses on a tree!
mj was scoring champ, mvp and defensive player of the year one season if im not mistaken.. im a knicks fan and I hate jordan.. but he is the greatest ive ever seen.. then Bird..
Jordan wasn't just a good defender, he was a great defender. And yeah its something you rarely see in great players today.
Many are great on offense but average to bad on defense. Simply because defense isn't as important to many players in today's game.
graceful!
You should check out the voyager rare video it’s mind blowing
Voyager really, I will. What is it about?
@@bgrey55 MJ moments.
Heyy Ore, ill check it out. I might make a video out of it also.
Jordan rare voyager highlights video👍. One of the best video's with some great tracks...
@@bgrey55 Rare MJ unreal footage. Have to be seen to be believed.
Being a Kobe you should recognize the moves.
lol, I do sometimes I can compare the plays MJ and Kobe did also. crazy how similar they played.
