Notice he ain’t holding the ball for 85 steps before he takes a shot? Notice all the contact he draws from other players without flopping like a fish in a boat? That’s the difference between today and yesterday. Michael was plain and simple a terrific, unstoppable basketball player.

Great reaction to 'MJ Ultimate Bulls Mixtape"...too bad you didn't post the entire vid. And yes, Michael Jordan is the undisputed GOAT. I'm a die-hard NY Knicks fan, but my favorite player has always been Allen Iverson (the 76ers...lol)...but even I always respected the fact that MJ was and is still the GOAT. This is how dominant MJ was and is --- he still owns the NBA record for the highest vertical ever @ 48.75 inches (almost a 49-inch vertical). To put this in context, Kobe Bryant's vertical was a full foot less at 38 inches. Let me repeat that: Kobe Bryant could only jump as high as 38 inches. Michael Jordan (the NBA record holder) could jump almost 49 inches. Also, MJ is still the only player in NBA history to win an MVP, scoring title (most PPG), DPOY (Defensive Player of the Year), and Steals leader all in the same season. He also was named to 9 All-NBA Defensive teams. If MJ had no offense, he would still be considered one of the top 5 Defensive players in NBA history. That's how dominant MJ was --- he was dominant on BOTH offense and Defense. Very scary combo.

Kobe is the closest thing we’ve seen to MJ, and I’ve grown to appreciate him more after he retired. He was never quite the same level as Jordan, but I don’t think it’s right that most people just skip over him with Lebron in the GOAT conversation. I’d honestly consider taking Kobe over Lebron on my list.

Great reaction youngster. Glad you witnessed the GOAT. I fell in love with the sport in Magic's rookie season (1979). And he's my favorite player all-time but without hesitation I proclaim Jordan to be the greatest ever.
I was fortunate to have seen prime Mike ball in person and the things my 20/20 vision witnessed was like nothing it had seen before or after him. Not human? That's why so many of us that saw him in person say he was an alien.
You can't defend someone with zero weaknesses, and that's why he was so dominant. I remember Isiah Thomas once said that Jordan was so good that at times he made All-Star players look like high-schoolers. And what Bird said was "that was God disguised as Jordan" after MJ blew up for 63 pts. against his vaunted Celtics. Magic said it best "there's Jordan then there's everybody else." Or was it Shaq that said it best "Jordan is a 10 and there's no 9s and 8s only 7s."

@katrinachavez3533 same here. I fell in love with Magic in 1979. He became my favorite player his rookie season. The Lakers are my favorite team. When Jordan won the NCAA championship is when I first noticed him. I knew he was coming but I didn’t think anyone would ever be better than Magic. When Jordan came to the NBA, I had to give credit where it was due. Jordan was just more skilled than everyone else. Then Kobe came along and yes, he’s 1a and my 2nd favorite player all time. Then LeBron comes and they WANT him to be GOAT. He just can’t be it. There’s nothing he can do. Jordan is still the GOAT.

Thank you for noticing the small things--his footwork was always perfect (and no "Euro-steps" needed), as were his fundamentals. He was super quick, fast and had a 48" vertical jump. But above all else was his will to win--he was ultra-competitive and wanted to beat whoever he was up against at anything--golf, cards, basketball--it didn't matter. Check out how many times he played all 82 games of a season, or at least close to it...then add playoff games.... and this modern era "load management" becomes another factor why so many of us who witnessed the Jordan Era cannot watch the game today. It might as well be another sport...

What sets him apart is evident in this video and its not just his vertical. Notice he never flops but more importantly, he never gave up on a play on either side of the ball. Even after contact in the air, he had such control that he made shots that had no business going in. He still followed through. On defense, he would pick your pocket and leave you change. He could come out of nowhere and swat a shot into the stands. He had a complete game. Equally as good on defense as he was on offense and he was like a savant on offense. He was like Rain Man with the ball but articulate. Everything he did was so incredibly graceful to watch. Ive never seen another player of any era make a dunk look so beautiful as he does from the moment he leaves the ground. He was just different and anyone who had the pleasure of watching him play understood that by his third game as a Bull. We were so lucky to have seen him during his era. Watching highlights really doesn't compare to watching him paint his masterpiece in real time as it happens....

I was blessed to see MJ play in person two times in the 90s before he retired for good. He dropped 29 on the Hawks and it was like an off night. At halftime I stood 15 ft from him on the baseline while he was warming up shooting free throws, he actually came out early to get in some shots. I was screaming at the top of my lungs just trying to get the dude to make eye contact with me. Security was different in those days. And I could not break his concentration for a second. He will always be the GOAT to me. The difference that a lot of people don't understand is that he routinely took over games on offense and defense. He was as intense of a competitor as there will ever be. He was a generational, all-time talent.

Growing up watching Jordan play as a kid was amazing...my idol. No matter how the game was playing out, you always knew there was a chance that he was gonna pull something out of his bag of tricks and pull it off.

Bro I'm 42 from Los Angeles. Became a fan of Lakers latest 80's, showtime baby. You can be a fan of any team but when you ball, you want to be like Mike, poetry in motion. I love Kobe man, RIP mamba. Kobe is the closest to MJ his game is mimic to MJ, footwork everything. No one better than the 🐐 he broke ok ur hearts when he won his 1st title. I watched the whole series, cheering for my Lakers but I knew we couldn't beat MJ. All his games were like his highlights, he would won like 8 titles if he didn't retire after 1st 3

Notice how MJ evades multiple defenders driving to the hoop? He is not like other player who bulldozed their way to the hoop. Never ever see him doing dirty plays intentionally hurting other players. Jordan is just built differently.... 🐐

  • @godbodysupernaturalhealing9701

appreciate the vid yo!..Grew Up to him..watching come fly with me before games got me hella inspired...watched him play live a few time at the target center when the timber pups first hit the scene..we was the shorties that got to meet most of the players and watch them upclose and personal and talk with them on the bench...for inner city youth this was Magical...it was a Hightlight reel in every Game..he went 1000 all the time..and watching him court side when the bulls was beating the timber pups pretty bad and every one was leaving, just me and all my lil homies(which we were all pretty much the same age) stayed and my boy got jordans towl and this lil white kid tried to snatch it from him and they had a lil tug of war...they ended up splitting it down the middle for both kids...but yeah..Jordan did some ol acrobatic ish all thru the damn game🤣...we learned and applied it to our Game and thus the Game Evolved.

I watched almost every game of MJ's career and wvery game was its own highlight. He was absolutely unguardable! Teams knew he was gonna get the ball and knew he was gonna shoot it but they still couldn't stop him. And mlre than just on the offensive side of the ball, he play elite defense too! To me, he is the GOAT... period.

I watched him at UNC in the early 80s and then his entire pro career. He jumped higher, got there faster, and stayed there longer. Never seen anyone with quite athleticism that he had.
I started watching the NBA in 1971 and have seen alot of great players but there was not a player then and I still have not seen a guy like this ever. Kobe was great Magic was great (my all time fav), Bird was great, LeBron is great, but MJ is the G O A T !!!

And if they loss that game or lose a game then you knew you couldn’t miss the next one because MJ was really about to go off off.

7:27 Props to you... you know what you're watching, and most people don't! Jordan's footwork was the hidden weapon that rarely gets talked about. He was like a virtuoso ballet dancer the way he could manipulate people... at this point in the video, you still haven't even seen the best. Must be something special to be experiencing this for the first time, although I have to say, these highlights still can't do justice to seeing him do it night in and night out, and NEVER take a game off!
