It's not just rings. It's the combination of things that Michael Jordan had accomplished during his 13 years in basketball. Like 10 scoring titles, 3 steal titles, the first record over 200 steals, and over 1oo blocks in a season, and did this back to back. The only shooting guard to ever score over 3000 points in a season. Wilt Chamberlain has 15 playoff records, Bill Russell has 13 playoff records, Kareem has 5 playoff records, Kobe Bryant has 5 playoff records, LeBron James has 6 playoff records, for a combined 44, Michael Jordan has 42 playoff and finals records almost half by himself, he also has gotten the mvp, finals mvp, and all star mvp and scoring, title and dpoy all in the same year combination, the only player to have ever accomplished this feat, 4 other combination titles, and he did this four times during his time in Chicago. No other players have ever had the amount of combination records other than Michael Jordan. I will not go any further. This is just a sample size on a few of the records he's holding, or tied, and achieved during his entire career. No other players walking comes close to his feat. And theirs so many it would take years to grasp the magnitude of a 6 ft 6 inch shooting guard to do this, in the most physical Era of basketball, against men, that made it hard to go to the rim. Michael Jordan is the only player that I have seen to get attacked by the whole team to stop him from scoring. Do better before you speak a word.

I grew up in N.C. down the road from the University of North Carolina. Tar heels. Theres never been and probably never will be a greater. Bill Russells 11 rings isnt comparable because the era Bill played in only had 10 teams. In 1956 when Bill Russell won his first ring there were only 8 teams in the NBA. You should learn more about basketball its history and the growth of the game of basketball to make a more logical and objective decision before making claims of who's goat...that is a topic that non basketball people have. Real basketball heads know that it is above all else a TEAM GAME and that with the different eras of basketball come rule changes to the game! I know young heads have their ideas about things but a little research with an objective mind will go a long way to help with your mental growth when it comes to articulating what you mean when you speak on basketball.

Larry Bird took the mid-major Indiana Sycamores to a 33-0 season and the NCAA finals against Magic Johnson and the Michigan Spartans. This game set the record as the most watched game in history. Magic won, but the rivalry saved the NBA. Watch Larry Legend reviews and get an education on old school BB. You need to see why the new NBA is softer and the newest players might have difficulty if they were playing then. By the way, MJ never beat Larry in the finals and in fact never won even one game. 0-6 Really just give Larry a shot, I doubt you will regret it. Best regards.

None of these current players have had a 3000 point season, win 6 Finals Mvps, DPOY, 10 scoring titles, 9 picks 1st All Defense, average 40 points in 6 different playoff series, 1st in Career PER, 1st in career Box-Plus Minus and did all that in essentially 13 seasons. And for those of you who think LeBron surpassing Kareem in total career points makes him the GOAT, consider that when LeBron James surpassed Michael Jordan in cumulative points, Lebron had played 118 more games than Jordan. Jordan played 1,072. LeBron James played 1,190 games before surpassing Jordan. So it proves Jordan to be a more efficient scorer so how does that make LeBron the GOAT? By-the way, per game stats are more reflective of game t0 game performance than longevity stats.
